... Other than Pings (which are a bich to bend and I stopped trying) I haven't run across irons that can't be bent 2* either way. Some stainless steel irons take a little more elbow grease but P790's and Forged Tecs can both be bent 2* and I don't see these being any different. Obviously some really cheap irons or those made of Zinc (yea, I know right?) can snap off when bending 2* but I have been bending irons for 30 years for myself and friends and never snapped an iron other than a cheap knock off.

I know Costco has a great return policy and all, but I'm guessing snapping the head off the club MIGHT void my warranty 😉 "It fell off. I swear I didn't do anything to it. It came that way. Ummm...yeah, that's what happened. Scout's honor."

... Haha they would just give you a refund and wouldn't ask any questions. It ain't Sams Club but I have seen some pretty ragged returns and even though it seemed obvious someone was abusing the policy, no questions asked just issued a refund.

Yep. Even in CDN.$ the Wedges look good. Putter is a little expensive though; but am looking at it. As do think Name Brand Clubs are a way over priced!!! Know Golf Gloves are Q1 & priced right, Balls suit me fine & are priced right.

& yes; a Mallet Putter design would help

I haven't seen any announcement;  the irons have only shown up on the USGA conforming list which doesn't really mean anything.

As @cnosil said, there never was an actual "announcement", per se, just some internet sleuthing dug up the existence of them on the conforming list (something all manufacturers have to submit to if they want their irons to be "eligible" to be played in tourneys, is my understanding).

However, interestingly, they're no longer listed there - I'm not sure if there's a rule that states they don't have to keep them on the list for a particular time, or if they can ask to have them removed for some reason or another, but I do find it interesting that they're not currently on there.

That being said, it looks like the wedges got an upgrade and are coming soon, as is a new ball, so my fingers are still crossed for the iron set showing up soon, as well.

No irons yet but the V2 wedges just came out. Hopefully that means the irons aren’t too far behind since they both hit the conforming list around the same time, right?

Didn’t find irons under Kirkland, Costco, SM Global, LLC, or Southern Design. No longer listed?  Just V1& V2 wedges. Still curious why the wedges aren’t 50-54-58 degrees. Let alone 48-52-56.  Set PW at 48 degrees tend to be forged blades way past a grand for 6 irons. Can’t see that being a core group for one size fits all wedges. More average players will more likely have a PW at 43-45 degrees. And most will not practice enough with a 60 degree to be successful with it. Too prone to blading or sh###$$$ the shot.
Not my problem. Being LH I only get gloves and have to order on line as well.

... Costco knows their customers. Nothing is done randomly, especially the Kirkland name that they take very seriously. So while I agree with you that more seasoned golfers would prefer 50-54-58 their research has obviously shown the average Costco golfer wants 52-56-60. I honesty don't think most high index, non forum average golfers even realize LW's are available in anything other than 60*. If they offered 50-54-58 I would buy a set and either sell or give away the 54* and bend the 50 to 51* and play it with the 58* but I doubt they will ever change these 3 wedge set lofts.

I know for a fact that that the irons were on the conforming list for a minute and then they were pulled. Who knows if/when they will get resubmitted?

@chisag is right. The target audience for Costco isn't aware or concerned about loft gaps in their irons/wedges. In my bag I've got a set match Attack Wedge @ 49 degrees and then a 54 degree wedge that get used most of the time. I technically have a 58 degree wedge but that rarely, if ever, gets used. The idea of having a 60 in my bag is even less appealing. For how cheap the wedges are and if they were to fit my playing style, I'd consider just using the 52 and 56 and leave the 60 on a shelf. I just got my ship notification so sometime next week I'll have an initial review.

Does anyone know if there will be an iron set from Costco or was this just somebody speaking out-loud/wishing!!

It did appear on the USGA Conforming List back in early January of this year, but it was quickly taken down.  There doesn't seem to be a consensus as to why they would be taken down (could be that something was wrong with them and Costco took them down, or ... they decided to hold off on releasing them and focus instead on the v.2 of the wedges (in stores and online now)), but there seems to be a LOT of interest in them, at least in theory, so I'm of the opinion that they'll be put back on the list and then released at some point in the near future.  But that could just be wishful thinking 😉

I'll take one of each, please and thank you.

Very curious on what shafts will come with the irons and driver. Also very curious if the balls will be painted yellow or if the color will be integral with the material.

Also wondering what the "Buy: $2M" means. Only $2M for the drivers and irons but $14M for the balls?

I believe it's a reference to how much their internal spending is on the item. A $2m buy, at their cost (probably close to $250), gets them 8,000 sets (assuming the markup is industry standard 100%). That would be the first run, and they'll see how well they sell, and then decide what the next run would be.

What shaft do the wedges come in

The V1 Wedges had TrueTemper Wedge Shafts. The V2 wedges had "Kirkland Signature" shafts in them. I need to do a side by side visual comparison to see if they are different from one to the next or if they just had them rebranded.

Rumor has it they are working out the final details of an endorsement deal with Tiger.... err, or was that Tommy Two Gloves? 🤔  This definitely is good for the consumer and will make it tough on the Big's in the new to golf/entry market.

That and while brands like Titleist and TaylorMade may be able to hold their margins, a true competitor that can come in and put a dent in sales in some of these middle of the market golf brands, it's going to be great for the consumer. The mark-up on golf clubs feels kinda crazy.
