The GC near here isn’t too bad. It’s funny how the expensive restaurants get health violations but GC does well, go figure. My wife in the past has managed Pizza Inns and Pizza Huts. She told me chain restaurants have their strict sanitation policies. She says that their theory is if one restaurant gets a bad reputation on sanitation etc that the whole chain may get that reputation. I know for a fact that these days their main issue is service. A few years back the Applebees right down the street closed. Not from sanitation but sorry service. I went on line one night to complain and there were over 600 complaints in a 6 month span from tourists and locals alike on sorry service. Right after that they closed it and I will note this was pre pandemic. A local steakhouse with 3 locations moved into that building and did so well they outgrew it in like a year and they re did a larger facility in the heart of Restaurant Row in Murrells Inlet. Same with Chilis located up by the old Wicked Stick golf course and this was pre pandemic too. We tend to eat at local owned places where we know the owners well. Our exception is the Waffle House in Surfside Beach where they have a real stable crew and treat us well. Now the Waffle House in Murrells Inlet frankly sucks. poor service and lousy food. I will go across the street to the 7-11 and eat a hot dog or a slice of cardboard pizza before I eat in there. I know my Manager in Surfside told me the other day that district went in there the other day and cleaned house. He winked at me and said that it does not mean we need to go down there and check it out. Popular Post sirchunksalot
Good morning and Happy Friday everyone! I hope today is a launching pad into a great weekend for everyone. For me, there's nothing nicer than waking up in a Friday and switching the alarm clock to off. It's nice outside this morning, temperatures are hovering in the low 60's, although I can tell it's going to be a rough day for anyone with allergies. I can feel it a little and if I can feel it, it's bad. It's looking like a wet weekend coming up, so tomorrow the wife and I are planning a trip back down to the nursery to see if they got more houseplants in. I'm just hoping the weather is nice enough today that I can do some yard work. The weeds are popping up left and right. I hope y'all have a great Friday! Bucky CC
Morning everyone. Big day for me today. Taking a lesson for the first time in about 5 years. Short term I know exactly what I need to work on: approach shots. It's been maddening being 120 yards out in the middle of the fairway and not being able to hit the green. Long term it will be interesting to see what the instructor has to say about my overall swing. I don't think I'm ready for a complete rebuild but could definitely handle 4-6 things over the course of a summer. ejgaudette, EasyPutter, Rickp and 6 others 9 Quote Driver: Stealth 2 10.5°, Kai'li Red X Fairway Wood: Rogue ST LS 16.5°, Mitsubishi TENSEI AV White 75 X 3 Hybrid: F9, LA Golf Tour AXS Red 85 X 4 Iron: Ping G410 Crossover 5-PW: JPX 919 Forged, KBS Tour Stiff Wedges: Jet Black 50°08F, 54°12D, 58°08M, True Temper Dynamic Gold Black S200 Putter: StrokeLab White Hot OG #7, Evnroll Tourtac grip
Popular Post MattWillGolf
Good morning and Happy Friday, Spies! It’s a beautiful day in Central NY. It being Mother’s Day weekend, the community where I live has a two day garage sale. It’s a huge deal here. Folks truck in from all over. So this means we’re trapped for a few days. The town posts no parking signs on one side of all the all of the streets. Some neighborhoods have food vendors. Our neighbor down the street owns a Wrap business, so I’ll venture out and get a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap for lunch. Getting the pool heater repaired this morning. 62 degree dips aren’t really my thing but I hear cold water dips are supposed to be good for you. Hope everyone has a great day. And if you’re golfing, hit’em straight. ejgaudette, EasyPutter, Rickp and 8 others 11 Quote Anyday Maverick Black Ops 7-way 0311 Black Ops 8° w/Mitsubishi Diamana S+ 60 0311 XF 3 wood 16° w/Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue Paradym X 5 - GW w/True Temper Elevate MPH Official Forum Test SM9 54°/12° D and 58°/12° D w/KBS Tour 110 DF3 w/BGT Stability ONE Forum Test ER11v 34” Evnroll ER11v Official Forum Test Shot Scope Pro LX+ Pro LX+ Official Forum Test Elixr 3.5+
