Morning all,

Congrats to all the testers announced. Should be a good follow. 
 Off to drop my car off. 5 years old 1 payment left and the transmission is crying for help. The drain and fill did nothing to help. So it will be more serious now.  Hoping it’s a code issue with a computer fix or an easily replaceable part or two. Either way it won’t be an inexpensive fix.

whew! woke up to frost on the ground and had to put on the hat and gloves for the morning dog walk to get a cuppa'.... this time next week they're talking about 80's though. the colors really pop this time of year - the grass is so green and sky seems so blue. 

hoopin' it up tonight with the old timers. pray I don't get injured. lol.

Good Tuesday morning MGS… First off the wife person, is charging me a nominal fee for having posted on her trademark page / Royal seal  … 666. Just can’t seem to get to far away from the mark of the beast…. errr… make that her high highness. 
 Another great weather day for the golf that I WON’T be playing. Still 10 days from getting an update for the next episode in my Medical Novella. 
  Not a lot else going on in world of the aged. Our town is probably at least as safe or even safer  than most towns, but we do have our moments and our undesirables and semi-undesirables ()… The neighbor at the end of the subdivision entrance is even more technically challenged than I am. He decided to forego security cameras and told the rest of the neighbors that instead, this was what he had done and advised us to consider to….

  @sirchunksalot hope the vehicle is a quick fix. Congrats to those chosen to do the latest testing.. TIA for the data and opinions that you will bring to the forum. May the rest of spy nation be the boss of your own Tuesday…

Good Morning Spies!

First off, Congrats the the Callaway AI Smoke and Autoflex shaft Testers! Very much looking forward to the reviews! And Happy to see the Ghost Golf Bag Testers are getting their bags in, man those are some slick lookin bags!! Makes me want to upgrade mine. Just don't tell the wife!

In other news, ordered my LAB DF3 and got my fitting back! turns out I'm significantly toe up at address, so going with a flatter 66* to help even things out. Excited to get it in hand!

 Finally! After a bit of the spring chill, weather is looking nice tomorrow (Wednesday) so looking forward to getting out there and knock off the rust! should be able to get at least a 9 in, hopefully an 18. It'll be the first round filming, so we'll see how that goes. The evening will be spent downloading film, piecing it all together, and posting it to Youtube!

Good morning everyone! I'm back in the office after being in Ohio the past week for WGI World Championships with the kids. They ended up in 4th place overall in the hardest scholastic division, couldn't be prouder of them.

And on the good news front - I just got the call from the dealership that the engine on my car is being replaced under warranty and I'll have it back later this week. Outstanding!

Good morning Spies!

Was able to hit the driving range after work last night and get some practice in. I've learned after a lot of swing changes this past year that a more abbreviated backswing and a slight pause at the top does wonders for my consistency. I'm able to gather everything together and swing through with the correct sequencing. Now just to translate that to the golf course!

Hitting up the sim at PGA Superstore after work today with a friend, which should be fun. May even get my clubs regripped afterwards so that they're ready for my round this weekend. I'm most likely going to get the Lamkin Crossline 360 Grey grips, which I recently put on my new wedges. They have a great feel while still having good traction.

Wife is attending a concert with a friend tonight, so I'll likely be laying low and watching basketball. No complaints on my end!

A good morning to all.  Wow what a morning with all the very well chosen and great testers announced for the Callaway Paradym Smoke drivers and the Autoflex Dream shafts. My espresso machine could barely keep up.  @sirchunksalot I’m hoping you get your car troubles sorted out quickly.  
 

So remember gentlemen, we will be looking forward to your outstanding reviews.  So will Callaway Paradym “smoke” Autoflex or will the Dream reign supreme?

Happy Second Monday to all!!

I had a great lesson this past Saturday, with a bit of an ah-ha moment with my coach.

I've been trying to fix 2 main issues with my swing - little to no rotation in the downswing to impact and flipping (early extension) at impact. After several lessons, we were making progress, just not what we both had hoped for. We continued to talk during the lesson and looked at data and videos of my swing. Then he found a drill and subsequent swing training aid for me to try (Leadbetter Swing Setter). I was taking the club back in too rigid of a motion and not allowing my wrists to set in the backswing. I was also not rolling my right hand right after impact nor was I re-hinging it during the follow-through. Using the swing aid helped me to set my wrists better in the backswing, and the motion (thought) of "throwing" the club towards impact was actually helping me to rotate while also still keeping the head back behind my hands and also helping me maintain an AoA around 3* down. The whole thing didn't make much logical sense, since the idea of "throwing" the club at impact was similar to what I was already doing with the flipping. But for whatever reason, in the context of the swing aid and process of using it, I was able to get that rotation and more shaft lean. Now, I wasn't leaning the shaft a ton. But the fact I was getting my hands to the ball right before the club head was all that we were aiming for at this point. Plus with the downward AoA, I was making far more solid and repeatable contact.

So I ordered one of the swing setters. Luckily it was on sale, plus I got an extra 15% discount. So it wasn't too bad. But the fact it did more for my 2 main issues than I've been able to for years made it worth the price. So we'll see how things go once I get it and continue the process. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive.

Thursday is a brand we talked about a decent amount and have a great product, but it definitely is not for everyone. That said there are going to be a host of golfers clammering over this one to get involved. 

Saturday may break the record books.

Going to be a very nice day if you don't mind the wind. Today is yardwork day and then a sim session this afternoon in an effort to gather more performance data for the TPT shafts vs my gamers.

Congratulations to a great team of testers for both the Calloway Smoke driver series as well as the Autoflex shafts! Nice to see quite a few regulars of the Good Morning thread selected for participation in these product tests.

@sirchunksalot and @Tom the Golf Nut Hope your vehicle issue are resolved quickly may they be inexpensive repairs...

Of course! Given all the other stuff I get to do here it is one of the fun things I get to do is keep all of you on your toes. 

This place is truly so much fun. That said there is so much going on with back end stuff that I miss way more than I would like.

Morning all, Beautiful day here in Saskatchewan and courses are starting to open.  Should've been open last weekend, but mother nature decided to give us one more snow.... pretty much all gone now, and all courses should be open by the weekend.

I see so many people thank you for what you do with testing and the forum in general. Seriously, I am amazed at how good the testing opportunities have been since I joined the forum. Great job!!! We are all lucky to have you and all the other forum staff. I'm sure there is so much more to it than any of us could ever realize.

Up early this morning, had a tee time booked for today at 1pm but decided to cancel due to the high winds. Didn't sound fun dealing with those and then coming straight back into my sociology class. Will probably go out for a quick range session though and have eyes on a weekend tee time. Besides that, nothing too major to report on but I hope ya'll have a great Tuesday and if you are playing, have a great round!

Good Morning everyone!!  Hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!  A brisk 45º but sunny day here; we tee off in 90 minutes.  Temp should get up to mid-70’s, but not until we are long off the 18th green.  My BIL arrived yesterday from Seattle and will stay for a few days.  Last night I re-gripped my clubs; took all of 10 minutes using air.  Hopefully, that will lead to lower scores… can’t be the Indian!!

what a week it has been… oh wait it’s only Tuesday . 

Unfortunately for me work has been crazy busy as we are in the middle of testing a large system integration I am overseeing. Sounds like fun , I know..

Weather is getting nicer which is making me want to get out on the course even more but luckily league is starting up May 1st so I’ll HAVE to play golf at least once a week .

Now thanks to @GolfSpy_APH we all have something to look forward to the rest of the week!

Brother I hear ya spitting those facts!!! Worse than a spousal unit gasping and trying to put her hand through the roof is when you have both the spousal and daughter units in the car. The gasps are in stereo and they’ve almost synced their hands hitting the roof! This creates a scary scenario only known by married men who have daughters that are of driving age; and only happens when men drive with both female units in the vehicle.
