He got tired of the back talk and not being able to do much about it. He quit got his CDL license and is driving a dump truck in fact making better money and less BS. I can feel for you we have lost several over the years. For us since we do not have kids or grandkids our dogs are like children to us. We lost one last year which was expected. We rescued a 12 year old chiwawa who was a one owner dog whose owner had died. He had a myrid of health problems which the agency paid the vet bills for. Of course he seemed lost all the time. His human was a lady but for some reason he took up with me. Last July his cancer came back and got into his brain. The vet was going to come by and put him down here at the house one afternoon. He actually died in my arms about an hour before she was to come over. We had him a short time and we knew what would come but we wanted him to live out his days being well cared for. Still it was hard We have a French Bulldog we adopted right after the chiwawa and it is a story with in itself. Popular Post EasyPutter
Good morning MGSpies, summer has arrived in WNY with air conditioning running to keep the house comfortable especially for the Corgis and SWMBO. Walking outside feels good this morning and the absence of cans at neighbors driveways was my reminder collection pickup is delayed a day this week and will be again in a month for the next major holiday. Coffee making my zero commute morning that much better Two halves of golf yesterday, front 9 with a full foursome including one regular partner and a man and son who were delightful to play with, back 9 continued on alone and caught up to a threesome that was slowed by two foursomes ahead of them so went from 11th green to the no-waiting at the 14th tee and played out to 18 before going back to catch up the two missed par-4s for a full 18 at handicap - so a good day of golf with enough sunshine left in the day to arrive home before sunset. 4:10 tee time today and hope golf is a part of your day too sirchunksalot, BIG STU, GolfSpy_KFT and 9 others 12 Quote Derek Verified Hack, ~21 handicap Golf for exercise and peace of mind. |> Big Dogs: First Strike Rattlesnake (10), TeelessTM (13), Tommy Armour TA1 3h (19), Ginty Trouble Club (29) |> Blades: First StrikeTM DeliveranceTM 4(23) 5(26) 6(29) 7(33) 8(37) 9(41) P(45) |> Wedges: Worx (55) Lovett (59) |> Flatstick: L.A.B. Popular Post MattWillGolf
Good morning Spies, Hope everyone is well. I haven’t been as active on here lately but for no particular reason. I joined the golf league at my church and it starts Friday. I played an early 9 yesterday. This game makes one crazy. It’s amazing that on shots that I go after, all hell breaks loose and on shots that I settle into with a smooth easy tempo, the ball just flies nicely and the results are all I could hope for. I was most reflective n Memorial Day. On Sunday night my wife and I watched the Memorial Day concert from Washington D.C. Popular Post Preeway
Good morning, spies. Didn’t see a thread in the other areas so I decided to pose this question here. With school wrapping up today for the summer I now have 10 weeks to relax and re-energize. While looking at courses to play locally, I also began looking at what my budget could afford when it comes to traveling to play somewhere. Has anyone ever tried to organize an impromptu MGS day of golf with fellow spies in their region? I’m crazy enough to drive 8-12 hours for the right course, lol. Just curious if anyone else has tried to organize something like this before or if there is a thread I missed that covers this idea. Time to finish my coffee, finish my last day of school and then 9 holes in league later this afternoon. Happy hump day everyone!! Popular Post JFish350
GREAT MORNING FOLKS Yes I am little juiced up this morning than normal. Leaving in about 45 minutes for a 4 round trip with 19 other players. We are all acquaintances and good friends. Driving out to Sisters OR to play Aspen Lakes at 11am. Then onto Bend for the night and Sunriver Thursday - Sunday. We play stroke play and pay out top 6 places and KP's. We also started doing what we call a Ryder cup style team match play. 2 teams losing team buys dinner for the winning team on the final night. One guy already owes a round for the group for texting at freaking 2 am this morning. My coffee cup is full, truck is mostly loaded, (picking two other guys on the way) and then a 2 1/2 hr float to Sisters. The elevation is about 4000'-5000'. Home it's about 500' if your one of the hills. So that should be fun to figure out club distances on a normal shot. Have a great week all. +12 tdroma98, cksurfdude, David Leighton Reid and 15 others 10 8 Quote Sub 70 949 D 9* HZRUDS 60G 6.5 smoke RDX shaft.
