Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good morning Spies (just barely in EDT zone). Finally got home at 10 pm, 22 hours later than the original plans. I think they were tired of looking at me in the Charlotte airport, since I was there for seven hours. Realizing I've been dawdling on studying for my big test (sort of a once-every-10-years mega final exam) in a month, so I'm going to try to get caught up on that a little today. However, my new putter is looking at me saying "OK big boy, show me what ya got!" So I may go try it out this afternoon after a few hours of study. Need to take my sand wedge out and work with that too; bunkers have been laughing at me lately. Congrats to the son for committing matrimony @Rob Person! @Jim Shaw the first time I went to Canada had to go check out Tim Horton's right away! @TJ Hall I'm not a camper either, as I discovered during my attempts to be a Boy Scout many many moons ago. Popular Post Steve F
Good afternoon MGS Nation! A beautiful day here in central Maryland! Was able to get up with the dawn patrol and get 9 holes in this morning, ran from there to the wedding rehearsal and then back home. Been a busy morning! @Rob Person, best wishes to your son on this big day! I hope your family is blessed with incredible memories! My wife and youngest son are out playing pickleball.... I'll probably head out to the practice green: putting definitely needs some work and I have to get in some more reps with the Mamba. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend: remember those who gave so we all can enjoy the freedoms and liberties we do. I hope golf figures into your plans for the weekend! Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Did my studying for a couple of hours, took a nap, took the DF 2.1 to the putting green (it will take some adjusting to), hit some sand shots at the adjacent practice bunker (better but not good), did a Rypstick workout, then scraped a few balls off the driving range and hit a few drives. Then I got back in the car to drive home, turned on PGA Tour Radio as I often do on weekend afternoons, and go, "Huh? Grayson Murray died?" Not what I was expecting to hear in any way. Popular Post cksurfdude
Gooooood weekend Morning to Y'all!! (..gotta brush up on some Southern Speak before heading to VA ) Dug into a yard project yesterday and yep feeling it a bit today... We have a row of a few skip laurels that filled in really nicely (and formed a nice hedge screen between us and the neighbors we don't want to see) and got nice and tall, but... .. out of only two storms this past Winter with any real snow accumulation the second one dropped some really really wet and really heavy stuff... .. that clumped up on the tops of the bushes and caused them to lean way over (and opening a gap in that nice screen between us and the neighbors)... Was kinda hoping they would sort themselves out and grow back straight but no that wasn't happening .. so with a bunch of pruning and a lot of pulling and pushing and using up 100 feet (and could've used more) of garden wire they're looking better. So lying on my heating pad, catching up here and thinking about the 9 holes we're gonna play later... Hope you have a great day with hopefully some golf time in it!!
