It's very interesting how shafts seem to make a difference in different people. I have only been fitted once using the Mizuno shaft optimizer this spring. In hindsight I should have waited as I went through quite a swing change this year. 

My old shafts were Nippon 120 modules in stiff flex and my new ones that I was fitted into are Nippon 115 modules in stiff as well. He said that I was border line between stiff and extra stiff and the reason he put me in those had something to do with the kick point up at the grip. I should see if they have any more fittings this year to see what the optimizer says now.

The sound difference between the T150 and the T200 is negligible, at best. That is to say, the ball sounds really good coming off of these clubs 

 

 

Also as per @Jnoble89’s request, here is a top line view of the T150 8 iron and the T200 7 iron:

The difference between the clubs is easier to differentiate with the soles. From the top line, I have a hard time telling them apart. The T200 is the top club in the photo above.

My DG120 S300's just work for me in everything I've ever had them in. The DG is too heavy these days and the sub-100 shafts are too light. The 120's are my goldilocks.

First full round with the new T200s yesterday.

I managed only one green in regulation, but that was more the fault of poor play off the tees. It was also the league's final invitational tournament, and we were playing at 6500 yards, which is just about my limit for reasonable scoring. Had to play hybrid and 5 iron into several greens with lots of par 4s over 420.

I was penalty free for the round though, which I haven't done much of lately. The irons performed well, and was hitting my target yardage pretty consistently. I just didn't have my A swing working and I was having to scramble (alot) after poor tee shots. End of the round it was a 44-48 92 to net 77.

I should be able to get back out on the course this week a couple of times to give these some more intentional on-course testing.

Got the notice that the rest of the irons are out for delivery. Had to deliver some blades for work about 100km away, but getting back to the house shortly and will be awaiting their arrival. 

Need to charge up the phone and rapsodo as well because I really want to get a range gapping session in either today or first thing tomorrow!

I ordered a TSR1 6 hybrid this morning to fill the gap between my 7-iron and 5 hybrid.

I had a wild day with my driver but the T350 irons and my putter pulled out another sub 80 (76) round for me.  On the front side, I shot even par with two birdies and two bogies. (par 35).  Back side I got to thinking too much about shooting my age and limped home with a 41.  The T350s  once fitted correctly for your swing are incredibly forgiving.  High soft iron shots that land like a butterfly with sore feet and we're talking about doing this with strong lofts.    

The TR1 Hybrids are no slouch either! With the shaft/head combo I was fitted for they are smooth as butter on a hot ear of corn.

I'm back out tomorrow too and I plan on hitting a couple with the TSR1 hybrid at the driving range so you all can hear the sound it makes.  A tiny bit tingy but good Lord the ball flight is sweet!

Looking forward to hearing it! I've found out that I absolutely love hybrids, they're so much easier to hit consistently than long irons and have made a difference in my long game.

I'm not sure I could play without the hybrids. I love mine and hit them really well. I can't hit a long iron (past 5) for the life of me. I want to hit the utility irons, but even those hate me. Give me some fairways and hybrids and I'm good.

... Some may find it interesting but the T100 series is pretty easy to bend without losing their specs over time. I bent the loft to standard as some were off when they arrived and I bent the lies 2* UP. I said earlier I was giving these to my playing pard who will be here Friday and along with re-shafting them, he needed them 2* FLAT. That of course is a 4* bend. I like to take my time and do it 2* at a time but a few bent more than that on the first try so a nice bonus. What impressed me the most is every loft was exactly where I bent it originally. Some softer forgings will lose some loft, especially if you spend time at the range but the T100 series was rock solid.

Tomorrow’s trip to the range will focus on the yardage gap between the 5 iron and the 4 utility iron. As there is only a degree of separation in the lofts, it is my primary concern with these clubs, now that the gap between the 7 iron and 8 iron has proven not to be prohibitive. Stay tuned…

Wanted to get out and hit them today, but the day just didnt allow for it. Too much going on at work and had to run back and forth to help with the family as well so maybe tomorrow.

These look unreal!  Love the mixed set you chose.  The club lines make this match almost Swiss clean aesthetic.  It looks perfect for me if they were right handed!

I was heckled a little today by my wife and her friend at work about "all the golf I've been playing this summer" so I made this for them...fun day on the course today...

I set a record today and no doubt in my mind that the T350 irons were instrumental in my doing so.  Also, the TSR1 Hybrids are super easy to elevate and they are sweeter than an ice cold thumper watermelon on a hawt summer day!

Today completed the first time I've ever shot three consecutive rounds in the 70s and going for a fourth one tomorrow! 

 

I said in an earlier post that I thought the TSR1 hybrids sounded a little tinie however that's not the case. Where I got the tinie sound was from a Callaway 6 hybrid I'm temporarily bagging until my new TSR1 6 hybrid arrives. Check out the smooth smack-you-in-the-arse sound my TSR1 5 hybrid makes.

I can tell ya right now that the T350 irons are helping my handicap to go down quicker than a a cricket in a hungry bream's mouth!

For all you T350-interested folks I'll be happier than a crocodile in a turtle egg-eating contest to answer your questions. For now, I'm hauling my big arse back to the bed for my afternoon nap!
