New Drivers 2024

What do you consider “new tech” and not the same “old tech”.   Advancements are made with drivers every year, it just may not be what you need for your swing.

Time will tell! No confirmation on anything yet or basically just rumors and nothing which can actually be accurately reported on. 

There are bound to be improvements, but like with most years it will depend on your current driver, fitting and what you are looking for if you will actually see the gains you want.

Well the first “2024” driver was announce and I believe available not long ago. The Mizuno ST-G 440 has been getting some really good reviews.

What I am saying is same tech, maybe move a weight but everything is the same, just call it number 2.

Like the stealth 2 looks the same and probably is close to the same as 1 but just bigger price tag.

You will almost never see revolutionary changes year after year. That does not mean that 1 & 2 as it can be are the same. There are little tweaks happening in every version. Whether that helps you or not is for you to test to find out.

I believe Callaway is releasing a couple more paradyms if I'm not mistaken, JW would be the one to ask though. 2023 was pretty impressive for drivers, may be pretty tough to beat. The TSr3 is a monster, TM may have gone backwards a bit with reliability of the Stealth2, Paradym seems like a big bound forward from the Rogue ST, I don't know if cobra can produce lower spin lol, the G430 didn't look like a progression over the G425, never followed Mizuno.

Yet the sweet spot is larger on the stealth 2 because if changes they made to lighten the carbon face. One has to dig into the actual design differences to see what get changed and fbe effect it has. For some release to release won’t have any gains especially in the area of distance. But there are things that can be improved like lunch and spin control, standard deviation in the various launch characteristics like ball speed, launch, spin. Improved standard deviation leads to improved consistency shot to shot.

Statement about same tech new name and such are lazy arguments about equipment

G430 I will argue was a massive improvement.

What do you currently use? 

Having hit both Stealth 2 is a vast improvement over stealth OG. May just be me, but I think they made significant improvements in every area. Maybe not a ton of extra yardage, but more consistency for sure. 

Going year to year it been be hard to see large gains. Maybe in sound, maybe in looks, maybe a little in performance, but what these companies are doing to push the envelope to squeeze every ounce of forgiveness and performance is impressive.

There is no magic bullet to an extra 10 yards.  There will be lots of tech talk and claims, it's up to you to test compare and try to see if those claims work for you.

The 2023 cycle of drivers was extremely impressive. Aerojet Max has been very good for me the last few rounds and has been consistently as long on good strikes compared to my TSi3 with a slight draw to boot. Great ball speed, ball feels like it explodes off the face. I didn’t think it would take place of my TSi, but it has for the end of this season and will be the clubhouse leader going into 2024. Would be lying if I said that I am not interested in what Titleist brings out next fall as I do love the TSi and hit a TSr yesterday and was very impressed with the ball speed numbers.

The 425 was good for sure. The biggest improvement between the 425 and 430 was in the lst model with the addition of carbon. The sound and feel was vastly improved in the 430.

Didn't hit the LST model, that may be my hang up. I wish we had one of each of these hanging around

Cashmere Keith has been a wonderful ambassador for Mizuno drivers.

I really like my TSR3, I can’t see it being replaced in 2024…. Will see, but I am very satisfied with it.

I have TSi3 and do like it, just was wondering about other Tech out there. Tried PXG and was more forgiving then mine and same distance. Love the comments and really want to try the Mizuno and Ping drivers. Thank you. As for lazy tech talk, if it looks like duck....no need to stupid comments.
