I think I was selected one time before I knew what this even was or what I signed up for as I was new to all of this. I missed the opportunity to review and thought it was a give away. I wonder if I will be selected for future testing opportunities because I messed up that one?

Only ways people are considered not eligible is if they are currently testing a product (one a time folks!) or if someone went MIA and received the product but did not complete their obligations and review. 

That said I don't see your name on our master list of who has tested before so you're in the clear!

I've been on the forum for a while now, and have been fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to participate in three big tests / reviews since I joined.

A few items to mention...

• These tests were each for something that I was very much interested in actually using in my own golf game.
• I have not signed up for very many other tests apart from those.
• In each test I spent a lot of time with the product, a lot of time gathering data, taking and editing pictures or vids, and a lot of time composing / editing my write-up. It does require a commitment of time and effort.

But the most important benefit for me and my golf game --

Doing each review really forced me to focus carefully on that particular aspect of my game... 

.. and provided a way to measurably improve that part of my game!!

 

Now .. isn't that way more valuable than "free stuff"..?

I am STILL invested on using and getting better with the AI-ONE DB from last year!

It's a constant review of my capabilities and growth!

It really can’t be stressed enough, if you are interested in being a tester, this is a must read thread!  Read the requirements and understand the expectations, this is not a giveaway, these take a lot of effort and time to put the products through a thorough test.

Don't forget it is also a TON of fun! 

Many of your fellow testers become great friends throughout the process and you get a chance to meet (viritual or in person) many fellow spies which makes the whole experience all that much better.

You have your profile photo so you are set in that aspect. 

From here it is just get involved in the community. Feel free to try doing an unofficial review of a product you are using, join in on other discussions and have some fun here on the forum!

Sounds like improper training to me. I have my wife trained. “Honey it’s a nice day aren’t you going golfing” A true golfer does not hesitate. “Yes dear just grabbing a drink and snack for the round” see ya in a few hours.

Send one of the forum moderators the confirmation number from your donation and they will add the banner.  They are not automatically added to your forum account since there is no connection.

It would be on your confirmation screen at the end of the transaction.  Also, iirc , it's also in an email. Search for ATS Golf

She might kill me if I use it before a family gathering, but she has been pretty generous with letting me out.  I have also had to play in snow and some colder weather than I would want to…but the test must go on!

I texted her from the range saying it was snowing, she asked if I was still playing.  She sent a shaking head gif when I said of course I was, but I don’t think she was too surprised.

This hasn't worked for me yet. My wife said it's fine to play but my boss said "get back to work and stop calling me honey or you're fired."

Really encourage any and all to give this thread a read. We really want to be able to select as many new testers as possible for each opportunity, but also need just a little on your end to get involved and help give us an idea for what type of review you will be capable of!

I try to sit down with her and plan out my golf schedule to make sure it doesn’t interfere with other events.

In my mind, this should be a mandatory read (and re read) if you’re interested in testing. Your request is perfectly reasonable and as director together with the moderators you want to ensure the best possible outcome for both the readers and the equipment sponsors. So yes, a lot of thought, work and testing is required to produce a high quality review(s).

Couldn’t agree more…and after re-reading it, read it again.  Understand that these are not giveaways, these tests take a lot of work and commitment to complete.
