Am I an idiot? Before you say yes, please read my dilemma. I was lucky enough to get a ping Viktor Hovland putter numbered to /100. Being a big Hovland fan, i was ecstatic and got this as a collectible. However, I’m in love with this putter and how it feels. I’m putting with much more confidence. Say screw it and use it a gamer?

Golf clubs are created to be played on the course; they are not made to be hung on a wall.

You could save it and just buy a ds72 putter at retail.

I would think use it if it works, even though two putters are the same for some reason for me there seems to be a difference.

Use it. Tools are useless if they just sit there looking pretty.

Not sure what you paid for it but there have been 4 sold on eBay for between $1600-almost $2000

I would expect the market to be limited based on several still up for sale so the price may end up dropping at some point.

The older I get, the less I am inclined to have anything I don't actually use.   Especially tools or "stuff" for sports.  Unless you purposefully bought it to hang on the wall (which, IMO, is still "using" it in a way) why not play with it?

Here's how I see it in relation to things ive had that were "limited"

The cars I look for are usually limited rare colors or something with 1 owner, clean, etc... I buy them to drive them not to let them sit. Enjoy that thing specially if it is upping your game! 

Another plus to this is its a putter so not like it will see a ton of abuse... The bag and other clubs will beat it up more then the use it gets on course

Use it! I assume as a big Hovland fan, you aren't planning to hang onto it and sell it at a later date, which would be the only reason to not use it. I say, get a nice headcover and clean it up after every round, but use it and love it!

If you never once use a putter for a game, you'll regret it later. A putter is meant to be played, not dusted on a shelf somewhere. It's just a thing.

no way you use that thing... that's a collectible that should be displayed for the world to see and not polluted by golf course debris. it's a limited edition! get a case, hang it up, admire it for all it's beauty.

There are plenty of putters that aren’t meant to be used on the course. Like a lot of hobbies there are collectible items in golf and many are putters

Never been called an "IDIOIT" . Been called other "Choice" Names; some more frequent than others!! So would not call you one!!

Do know I'm out on Day Pass though! Yippee!!
