I’m not afraid to spend over $100 for a polo. But that polo is either Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne or a custom embroidered from a golf trip.

You have to be joking!  

The Sun Day Red logo is really ugly and his old Nike TW stuff was a lot cheaper / better.  I am definitely not buying it at this price point or at a lower price point.  I would easily buy a couple of dozen Pro V1s instead.

Tiger should really hire some high end expert logo and designer clothing experts to do this for him, since this looks amateurish at best.

There's a couple of things I actually like, but there's no way I would spend that kind of money on clothing unless it's guaranteed to knock about 30 strokes off my handicap (it's 31.5).

I'll buy once it hits Ross or Costco.  I am a discount shopper when it comes to clothing.  

Well unless it's Norman's shirts.  I just can't make myself buy them at costco.

I can honestly say that there is nothing I want to buy from this line. Truthfully, I didn't even know it was launching today. I think the logo was a big miss, and the cost is so high, considering I can get UA performance polos for less than $40 regularly with an outlet mall nearby plus their semi-typical 40% off for healthcare providers discounts through id.me

There are a few pieces out there that I actually like. But I am not one of those elite clothing persons. 

You are going to see alot of social media/YT personalities wearing what is probably promo stock though!

How much better will the clothing lines perform over the already over priced top name brands?

Maybe one day I will see something in the thrift stores like I see Greg Norman's shirts and shorts.

Tiger was on the Today show this morning and had a great chat/interview with Carson Daly.  They talked about growing up in SoCal and how Tiger never play country clubs except for some occasional tournaments.  He grew up on public courses etc...

After that I was hopeful he would've chosen an affordable line of clothing, but nope.  Chalk this one up next to everything with a Barstool logo as things I won't be spending money on.

Looks like I'll be sticking with Kirkland Signature and 32 Degrees from Costco

I can't for the life of me figure out how this ended up being so horrendous. 

My favorite golfer of all time had the perfect opportunity to create one of the most iconic brands of all time.  Imagine a shadow type logo with the ICONIC fist pump picture.  Sure, it would've been "Jordan-like", but there would be zero mistaking who that would be and only the most dimwitted people would say he copied Jordan.  

Maybe the logo was stemmed from a picture one of his kids drew when there were 3, that's cute and all.  I just feel like anything other than what they went with would've been a better option.  

Even the "S D R" initials over the logo is a huge swing and miss, not to mention making it 3 words instead of 2.

I can't say much else because I haven't had eyeballs on his stuff, but a logo and branding is one of the 3 (pricing and quality are the others) most important factors in apparel.  This is exponentially true when you're launching a brand new brand in an already saturated retail space. 

I'm just going to stock up on all the Nike TW merch I can, keep it in plastic and throw it in the closet.  I have a feeling that stuff is going to skyrocket in value over the next decade.  If not, well I still have some premium gear with one of the best logo's in the game.  

 

TLDR; I ain't buying it!  lol

I 100% agree with the comment about coming from low roots, and personally thought he would have had gone that route too by bringing it to the masses for at least an obtainable price.

Yep that 40% off is what keeps me and my boys wearing UA golf shirts and training gear. Hard to justify spending more and the close out prices even without the 40% make it so much more appealing as a brand.

I had access to the SDR Pines Collection. I was really interested in buying something before everything was released, but ended up not getting anything when it did. Not sure why that could've been, but decided to skip on it.

The resale price just ridiculous but selling it for $275 after you paid $50 for it and not offering free shipping is a pro level dirtbag move
