**** I made this purchase several weeks ago. We were asked to wait and do a separate review. ****

After testing the Galway Bay rain suit and seeing the quality, I decided to purchase the gloves as well ($39). Having never owning a pair of rain gloves before, I wasn't sure what to expect. My first thoughts were that these would be too hot to wear in Florida during the summertime. (wrong) And, that they would be too thick for my liking. (wrong again). Much like the rain suit the quality and comfort of the gloves are incredibly good. I have not had the opportunity to actually play using these due to the fact that we are in a serious drought in central Florida currently. I have wet them and chipped in the back yard. I was certainly not disappointed. I have seen other rain gloves for sale around the same price that when I picked them up and felt them, I immediately put them, back in near disgust. I have never been a clothes snob in my life but, I will say sign me up for the Galway Bay. The water resistance and breathability is hard to believe. I bet they would be nice as a winter glove as well. I will post from a durability standpoint going forward as well.  9.999/10 - nothing is perfect!

Callaway’s current x2 trade-in program closed the deal for me … after close to 2 years with the Forged Tec OL experiment, opted to go back to VL irons. 😕 Will be trading in the Cobras & my G410 driver and cannot believe the trade-in value I rcvd. Too good of a deal to pass up

Placed an order just this morning for their Apex Pros in 5-6i and Apex CB 7-pw … all-in-all, once trade-in value is rcvd, $547 total for a new set of Callaway irons. Crazy good deal.

I may be kicking myself shortly. I recently purchased a Bushnell Tour V6 rangefinder and it is fantastic. No problems, works great.

Fast forward to last week. Played with a friend who was using his Garmin Approach S70 watch. The yardages he was getting were certainly close enough to the rangefinder to justify using the GPS watch, for yardage and all of its other functions. Naturally, I ordered one. (Insert eyeroll here).

Long story short, I may be offering a good deal on a lightly used rangefinder. LOL

Love to golf, love to camp.

I got an S10 for Christmas and it's absolutely fantastic.

Being able to look down and get yardages to the back, middle, and front of the green is so convenient, well worth the cost imo.

BUT... you don't get an exact yardage to the flag, that's where a rangefinder comes in handy.

When you're about to hit your approach shot, it's nice to get an exact yardage rather than just front, mid and back of the green.

More progress on the wedges using my bench grinder with a wire wheel.

I'm starting to hit a point of diminishing returns, and I'm worried that if I go too aggressive I may start removing too much material.

I used toneear gloves on both hands just plain old leather on normal.days, rain gloves in rain and warmer gloves when cold, but now I only wear gloves when it's cold.

I pretty much hate playing in rain, my glasses fog up, clubs get slippery, I take glasses off I cannot see, I put them on they get all fogged up or rain drops.  So yes if it's gonna rain i am gonna work or fish or sleep.  Now if I am out and get caught In rain, I will finish round, and a little light drizzle is fine, but anything more and I am gone.

Now that I switched to golf pride z grip cord grips, I really do not want anything between my hands and thw grips, thw tactile feedback and precision is such that I don't want to interfere with it. It's funny, if I hit it off toe, not only can I tell because of the feel and sound of the shot, but the instant and punishing pain in my fingers reminds me not to do that so often. It reminds me of when I first started playing golf, 25 years ago, painful stings are good reminders not to mishit....

Ordered a custom driver cover from Brenda at Geau Golf for my autoFlex shaft, and also had one made for my wife with Pikachu on it (patches were sourced from etsy).

She does excellent work, very affordable compared to the big names (Seamus, Dormie, etc), and covers are well built with ample club protection.

Long story short, I pulled the trigger this morning and they should get here sometime next week!

Update: they have arrived!!

I love the look of these even better in person. The texture is incredible and I love the light blue extra laces they included.

I tried them on as well and they’re way more comfortable than I expected. A lot of padding and great grip on the sole, which should make for a great walking golf shoe!

About about a month they ago I picked up a set of wilson d9 irons for $300, brand new still wrapped. Tense white av 60 r graphite shafts.  Got them for my 13 year old, but I finally hit some 7i  shots in backyard today and they are really smooth.  Compared to my jpx923 forged irons they look ginormous, but I am bringing the 5i and 7i with me tomorrow morning so me and my brother can hit a few on course. They appear to be very forgiving rockets.

Previously I had mentioned I was looking for something to replace my 3 Wood, that I simply could not hit it reliably.  After trying out a few things, today I made the decision.  Today I purchased a Cleveland Halo XL Hy-Wood 4+.  I took it to the range and tried it out, and bought it.  After I bought it I hit some more with it.  I take it to play this Firday.

Sweet! You know, instead of rolling the ball back, if they just decreased the max size of a “Tour” Driver to something like this at 340cc, and narrowed the fairways, the USGA would get what they wanted.
