I have been a member of several golf forums, most notably WRX and THP.   I have never had a problem with either site, I was actually very active on one of those for several years but right now I am just sort of burned out with daily forum activity.  I have been a member here for years and plan to become more active at MGS as I have always thought the testing here is as absolutely good as it gets.  

 

I feel any forum is as good or as bad as you make it yourself.  There is no worst or best IMO, there are good and bad members everywhere but for the most part the folks I have met have been pretty cool people.

Very nicely said DawgDaddy, enjoy your time spent here(from someone who is also a member at WRX & THP).....although I don't go there unless I am really, really bored.

 

I did find a playing partner for a day while vacationing at Hilton Head this year.

I have been a member, although not a frequent contributor, on WRX for going on a decade and THP since January 2010.  I have participated far more often on WRX than THP.  

 

I have had repeated run-ins with one particular Mod on THP of late.  They tend to have a philosophy of chasing the almighty dollar and this particular Mod was attempting to push a new product heavily and I offered an opinion.  My opinion started gaining attention which took attention away from the product in question.  The Mod deleted all of my posts within the thread as a result.  I started receiving PM's from those who were contributing within that thread only to have the Mod hijack the PM's and delete them as well.  Funny thing about the whole incident, it wasn't even a golf product.  I haven't been back to the site in since.

 

I have never had an issue on WRX, that I can recall.  I have been a member there since December 2006.  Some members can get a little over-the-top on WRX but it is what it is.  They generally have some good topics, some that are unreadable and the ever-present troll.  

 

Seems a little less rigid here, which I like.
