Shaft tipping

Recommended Posts

This is what I found, select tip trimming when you get to the site.  Says 1.5" for 4 wood.

So I have a Matrix Xcon 5 shaft that I am wanting to put in a 4 wood but can’t find any tipping instructions for it. What I have found is 1″ for a 3 wood and 2″ for a 5 wood. Does this mean that I should tip it 1.5″ for a 4 wood?

Hello, I looked at the  Matrix Xcon 5 website and yes. You would start at "0" for driver and work down 1/2"" per wood. Then cut the butt to length. I would assume as it is not stated you would prep the tip with very light sandpaper as well, normal process on most shafts

I put it in a 16.5 degree diamond tour H7 fairway wood head. Since the weather here in Iowa has not been great I have only hit it on a simulator but have been impressed with it so far. I am thinking about ordering the same shaft to put in my driver.
