null
45 - 50 - 54 - 60 My gapping from my 45 to my 54 is determined by my yardage gaps. I use 54 the most as I don't really take full swings with my 60. As for your question - I am having a hard time understanding where your gap is. Is it between your 48 and 52? How far do you carry each wedge on full shots? GolfSpy_SHARK 1 Quote Link to comment

Your lofts should be based on gap coverage which means there may not be an equal number of degrees between lofts. This is especially true as you move from set wedges to specialty wedges. Specialty wedges typically spin more, fly higher, and go less distance than a comparable set wedge. I’d suggest bending the lofts to fit the yardage gaps. bens197
Modern lofts have required a change for me. I was a former 3-wedge player with 48/52/58. As of yesterday, I am 46/50/56/60. Play around and find what works for you. A lot of golfers like to pick one of their wedges to be more of a go-to / all around wedge for most distances. Chip Strokes
set PW is 46*, then i go 52/56/60. stock PW is 150, but i'm comfortable with partial shots down to 100, depending on the situation. 52 gets all the work around the greens and i'll use it as a full swing club from 115-130. 56 is my sand club, and i'll use it from 85-110 on a good fairway lie 60 gets used for short sided chips or shots that have to go over a bunker/tree/cart barn/clubhouse/or wherever else i might find myself. i don't like using it for full swings though. lots of overlapping yardages with my wedges, but each of those shots is situationally dependent. GolfSpy_SHARK
I am currently @ 45/48/52/56/60 I am going to be taking out the 56 because it doesnt have a purpose at this point in time. Anything 100 and in I can make multiple shots with the 45/48/52 depending on where I am shooting from, also depending on green/fairway space I can start flirting with the 45 or even 9/8 iron. The 56 for me really doesnt server a purpose, 60 I use in sand, and I need something at the top end of the bag. Seems like you have a similar situation where I added the 48 degree to cover the 110-130 gap I had, Maybe a 50 will work for that gap you have? cnosil, Shapotomous, DStar and 1 other 4 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? Tyler86
50-54-58. Just recently replaced the 50 with the matching AW with my 699s that was recommended by 2 last fitters and sub70. Only a few rounds with it. Plays to the same yardage but not sure if it spins as much. May switch back to the 50, gonna give it a few more rounds. I play 50-54-58 cause they gapped good with my last set and still do with my new ones. Have had issues in the past with more lofted wedges getting to under the ball on miss hits. Syks7
45-50-56-60 but I would rather have 45-50-54-58 The 45 is the PW from my stock set and it like everything else in this strong lofted set gets up and goes. I get about 133ish carry with it. It even rockets the ball pretty well at 3/4 so I don't often hit it at anything less than full. The 50 is a necessity for gapping purposes and it's a cbx that's very comfortable to full swing. It slots right in at around 120ish. I like the CBX because I can also pitch and chip with it if I need a shot to release. I have a 52 that was part of the Ksig set but it just left too large of a gap 133 to 113 is 20 yards of empty and I found myself trying to overpower shots to make up for it -- ending up doing my best impression of digging a trench instead. The 56 Leaves more gap than I'd like between it and the 50 at right around 103ish but I can at least dial the CBX back to get in those numbers. I'd rather have a 54 but it's the ksig life for me for the moment. The 60 Is handy situationally and a stock easy full swing is the perfect 80 yard club but I feel like a 58 would get a lot lot more use from me in more situations. goaliedad30
I carry 46 / 50 / 54 /58. The 46 is the PW that matches my irons (TM p770). It functions like a 10-iron, and flies 110-115. Easy to flight down as needed. 50/54/58 are Cleveland RTX4. Distance-wise, I get the following with 85% swings (as hard as I ever go after a wedge): 50 = 100-105 54 = 85-90 58 = 70-75 The 54 functions as my primary greenside club, with the 50 or 58 being used as needed for lie / green firmness / slope. 58 is my primary "stock" bunker club, with the 54 used for "long" greenside bunker shots (or from an upslope). fozcycle 1 Quote Link to comment

PickinBogeys
46, 50, 54, 60 46 replaced my pitching wedge. I play 714 AP2s and the PW just started feeling mushy. It was a real feel thing. 120-135 50 has been my favorite wedge and probably my most trusted. I can hit short pitches with it, low 75-80 yard shots into uphill greens, and it really shines on full swings at around 115. 54 is great for 105 and in when I want to hit something a little higher. I'll use it around the greens when I have room to let it run 60 I alternate between a vokey proto and a custom ground club with an x100. It's really dependent on course conditions as to which one I'll take. Quote Link to comment
