There is a weight on the bottom of the g400 max head.  Is that weight removable, and if so what would it  do if changed?

Use it can be changed, you can google g400 weights and find replacement kits.

If changed it would change the swingweight of the club.

This could be or not be a bad thing for the user. The more sensitive to swing weight one is the better chance this could affect the feel. Lead tape can provide similar changes

Definitely removeable. There should be a number on the underside of the weight indication the weight in grams. 7 grams is quite common. I've got a  10 gram and 13 gram as well. If you add 2 grams of weight to the driver head, you will increase the swingweight by approximately one point.
