Youth On Course...

My Grandson @Blakedagolfer, just joined. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this program? @Golfspy_CG2, Maybe you know about it, if I remember don't you work with the First Tee?? Wondering if they give discounts to the adults bringing the Youth Golfer? Do course's not listed Honor it?? Just any general information would be great.. 

Basically Kids sign up ($20 yr.) and golf at participating courses if $5, some are just 9 holes others have specific times ect.. they appear to have some great course's (i.e. Chambers Bay, Gold Mountain, and More).. I am located in Washington, but they appear to have associated courses all over the country. @GolfSpy MPR might save you some money dragging Kirke around.. LOL

Our course does participate in it.  I don’t know a lot of details as it’s handled through the Head Pro.  But yeah $5.00 for the youth and I think it’s after 1:00 at our place.   Not sure on the rate for accompanying adults.

I had looked into this for my son, there are a few courses near me that take part but he doesn’t like playing either of them. So I opened not to sign him up. Great deal though  if you can take advantage of it and the tee times work out.

There is 55 courses in our area involved.. 9 quality courses within 30-40 min of where we live, and I have played them all multiple times. Thought I'd throw it out as other may not have heard about it. for $5 to play I think I can afford to play more with him..

We live in a big empty spot on the map  Nearest course is about 50 minutes away, though it's good to know they participate, as we sometimes get over there during the season.

Might have to look into this for my little guy.  I've brought him out to the par 3 with me twice now and they don't give a discount at all.  Full adult price for dropping his ball 20 yards from the green and letting him 3 putt.

@ChitownM2, At least check it out.. it might be worth it for you... $5 is better then even Jr. rates at every place I play..

I have found that adults don’t get discounts from their kids / grandkids being a member of youth on course. But my son does get discounts at many courses and it allows us to play all over the place for a full adult green fee plus usually $5. It’s a great program!
