Stepping question

So I bought a set of MP 60s and am going to reshaft with the Nippon Modus 115s I just tested.   

The MP 60s are much more traditional loft than what they're coming out of.  47°PW vs 44°.  Given that the MP60 9I(43°) is closer in loft to the PW I'm pulling from.  I'm curious if it makes more sense to hard step the whole set, particularly since I'm likely going to keep my Cleveland cbx2 48 rather than play the MP60 PW.  

What would be the drawbacks beyond 1/2" down on length.  Higher spin?  Anything else?

Positives or drawbacks for not stepping? 

Am I way overthinking this?

I had it backwards.  I would be hard stepping which isn't something I want so no point in doing what I was suggesting.  Mod's can close this topic.
