Good morning Spies,

It’s cold and drizzly in CNY. Up very early to take my wife to the airport. She is going on a girls snowshoeing trip in Wyoming. First time in a totally empty house in decades. It will be strange I must admit. I hit a local diner for my morning cuppa and a Denver omelette smothered in sausage gravy. Oh and laid the groundwork for a new driver this coming golf season. I am leaning heavily towards the PXG Black Ops. Chores are on tap this morning.

Good morning everyone! 

It's a cool morning here and I'm going to enjoy it before the Arctic blast that seems to be headed everyone's way hits. We're looking at single digits next week which is downright cold for this part of Eastern TN. 

My wife and I are going to Knoxville to see my sister today, we even picked up some thumbprint cookies and a small cake for her. Might hit up the PGATSS and browse around there for a while. 

It looks like my Red Rooster gloves are out for delivery and I might get to see them before we head out.

Good morning spies! Brrrr 35 this morning in Mesa with bright sunshiny day ahead. Will go out to the pitching chipping area on the course today for some never ending honing of my short game.  Played well yesterday over at AGR. Left my ego in the bag and tried to play fairways and greens.  No hero shots. For the most part it worked shooting a 78 on a par 73 course.

Moving picking tools over to the next house today as well for Tuesdays pick. These folks have a massive lemon tree that is very prolific in its fruit production. Lemons are hard to pick though. The tree has long very pointy and unbending thorns and does not release its fruit from the branches. So when the lemon finally comes off the tree, and flies out of your picker to land under the tree in the low branches the unwary picker will just reach into the dense branches to grab the fruit and pull out a punctured and bleeding arm.

Cold and windy morning here. Wife is out getting errands done. I'm finishing coffee and putting practice indoors for a little bit. Might be able to squeeze in a few swings with some of the new releases at Golf+ later.

Good morning MGSpies from blustery too warm for snow but rainy WNY on this Saturday.  Yesterday middle of day was clear skies and sunshine, headed to Harbor Freight right after work and got their last 24x16 12mil tarp and it was already overcast. 

Went right to work putting the new hat on our beautiful sailboat Cadence.  I am thankful for the awareness my life experience has provided, almost no breeze made handling that much fabric on a hazardous elevated structure safe, warm temperatures made bare handed line handling for tying knots easy, and just enough daylight to complete the task only 10 minutes before a wave of rain and strong gusting winds passed through over the next many hours.  I know who provides such gifts  Weather Station has Winter Weather Warning up so it is coming, not here yet and hope everyone who is watching the weather and experiencing challenges with it has a good experience - here we go just got this on my phone.

good morning all, 

yesterday was a bastard. Our sweet boy, Tucker, who had been with us for the last 12 and a half years, passed away peacefully at the vets office, following a short fight with cancer. He will be missed terribly. 
today, we woke up to a cold house and no power and the winds overnight have caused a power outage that is affecting us and 471 houses around us. 
but life goes on, so armed with gas station coffee, we are off to the first bball game of the day.

Good morning Spies from a snowy, cold and very windy Michigan on this Saturday.

Snow started late yesterday afternoon, overnight, and some additional coming today until it supposedly ends this evening.

No plans for me to go outdoors anytime soon to clear it away so I have some things to do indoors, and then will continue to work on my Stack System drills later.

Hoping that as these storms move across the US from west to east, all stay safe, and warm, and hopefully the power stays on.

Oh no, so terribly sorry to hear about the passing of Tucker. My sympathies and condolences. It’s never easy when you lose one of your beloved fur babies.

Good morning Spies!

We have some snow here for the first time, after an abysmal couple of gray and rainy days.  The real cold is right around the corner.  Winter is coming.  Winter is here.  

Golf-wise, I have a few things going on.  Tinkering is all I can really do at present.   First, my Foresight GC2 launch monitor arrives today or early next week from Canada, which prompts me to order the rest of what I need for the garage sim today.  FABWIFE, correctly, pointed out how busy I am with work and how countless trips to the hardware store and MacGyvering my own enclosure would lead to significant frustration and delays.  So, with her support and wise counsel I intend to order a kit from Carl’s.  There is still lots of DIY work, and I intend to avoid their advice and mount the projector to the top bar, which will require some reinforcement thereof.   I will likely do a thread on that.  Anyway, I will probably place those orders today.  The hitting mat choice is the one I struggle the most with.  I think I will get this one (link below) because it seems like a solid standing area and will fit with a Holy Grail replacement strip should it prove to be tough on the joints.

Also, I think I am going to try my hand at refurbishing iron heads.  Maiden voyage on tap today with a beat up Goodwill club.   Rust removal, polishing, etc.  Pics to come (unless it is a miserable failure).

@GolfSpy_BEN you and your family have my most sincere condolences in losing Tucker.  Losing a beloved dog can is like losing a family member.  They bring us so much love and joy, and ask for so little in return.  So tough.  Hang in there.

Saturday is here.. The start of a three day weekend for many. My condolences @GolfSpy_BEN for the loss of your fur family member. Seems that there has been almost an avalanche of four legged fur family members passing in the last few weeks. Let us all hope that this is something that STOPS now. 
   To play the weather jerk… again. It will be 60° at tournament tee time with a supposed high of 72°. No to little wind today. Looks like someone in the Austin area remembered to close the door. Round two of the bag carrying  the melding pot of Ping, Cobra, Titleist, and Edison. Hoping for a repeat on the front 9 and that the entire bag has had a mass memory loss concerning yesterday’s back 9.  
   Not to be political, but I believe I know who the federal government uses as their deficit spending expert… Yep, I firmly  believe that my fearless female financial leader is sharing her Monarch’s monetary mojo with the government. SORRY about that. I am a bit sore and stiff from being a captive audience to the wife person’s TED talk on our family financial forecast. 

I will need to stretch and move around more than normal to loosen up before starting play.
     May this weekend be one of your making, take care out there my friends.

Got to the range yesterday .. an almost Spring like day here .. and yeah have a few back muscles and a wrist that are now telling me "gee I hope you had a good time 'cuz we didn't"

Good Morning everyone!  Woke up to 1º and -20º windchill... but at least I woke up!!  Snow coming around 3pm, but will only be a light powder.  Continuing to do... well... nothing!!  Had salmon with spinach and rice last night; my wife let me wash the dishes, but she wouldn't let me lift the heavy skillet!!  At least I did SOMETHING!!!  Going crazy here!!  I might go for a walk around the block after it warms up to 14º.

Ugh. We've been there. In the last 18 months my girlfriend has lost three of her cats that had owned her for 12 years plus (cats don't have owners, they have staff; see below). She has never had children and in a very real sense those three cats were her children. She replaced those three and one of the replacements had a litter of four, who are all still here (the mom disappeared last spring shortly after giving birth), but she still thinks about those three cats every single day.

I hope soon that you can think of Tucker and smile. Lisa hasn't reached that stage yet.

Good morning update: Storms came through last night and we awoke to find our lawn furniture scattered around the back yard. No damage and it's clear and 58 at the moment, although still very windy. Might try to go hit balls this afternoon at the school playground. It's not big enough to hit drives but I can hit irons and wedges, and I take my turf mat so I don't chop up the playground for the kids.

Good morning everyone. The first of several sub zero days is upon us in Omaha. It’s currently at its warmest point in the day, -4F or -20C for the rest of the world. Supposed to drop down to around -16F (don’t even want to know what that is in Celsius) later today and all day tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your pup, @GolfSpy_BEN. Losing our pets is never easy. Coffee is getting me going before I try to run a couple errands. I really need to move further south. I hear Austin is nice. Hope everyone has a warmer day ahead than I. The Chiefs vs. Dolphins should be interesting with the temps this cold.
