Good morning Spies!

Quiet in the house this morning…wife is out of town and kids are still sleeping.  Get to watch some of The Open Championship early.

Good morning everyone. Nothing quite like a hotel breakfast gut bomb to start the day. The coffee is surprisingly quite pleasant. Not going to go so far as to call it good, but better than just drinkable too. Yesterday was rough at Bayside. Struggled off the tee and led to many bogeys as a result. I think I got it figured out over the last few holes so look out Awarii Dunes! No matter the score, it’s gonna be a great day with @Erin B, @cksurfdude and @BallsLeon. Hope everyone has a great day ahead!

Good Morning Spies.

Hope you all have a great start to your Saturday.   Planning two morning golf rounds this weekend.  Hoping to escape the heat and get it in early.

Hoping I can continue to putt better this weekend.  Got a new putter in the bag and it seems to be rolling the ball well.  Just hoping I can continue to stay patient with the right pace and line.   

I seem to have a bad habit of decelerating on short pressure putts.  So will be focused on the practice greens doing drills this morning before heading out.

Hope everyone hits it straight.

@Northern Monkey, I hope your sweet puppy has a successful surgery.

@Preeway, very jealous.  Looks like a great trip with the boys.  The beers look nice a cold in the pics!

Going out to play my weekly round. Says 20% chance of rain that's no problem as I'm taking my Galway Bay rain jacket with me. If looking for something to have when it rains on and off the course this company is a no brainer, worth every penny!!!

I had no comeback. All it cost me after the round was a tub of Häagen-Dazs ice cream. So, it’s only a matter of time before she beats me. So this old boy has to keep improving.

Good morning Guys!

I'm heading out for the first day of my 2 man better ball tournament at my local course. I played 25 hours last night to prep and as long as I don't do anything foolish I should hopefully shoot under my handicap. At least that is the plan.

I am just hanging out cooking the fam breakfast until I leave for my round, hoping to figure out a sustainable driver swing on the range and score well today. The course typically plays pretty hard so my goal today is shoot 82 or better.

Going to be a relatively quiet day around here with a focus on getting the yard work done for the coming week. SWMBO has a lady's picnic of some sort so I will have the early afternoon all to myself...

@Northern Monkey so sorry to hear about your furry companion and best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

@Cfhandyman congratulations to your wife! and yeah not much you can come back with after that...

Morning all!

Cooler morning here today. Will be getting out to walk a 9 hole track in just a little while. The wife likes to read a book at the clubhouse restaurant while I sweat my naughty bits off walking the course. When done, we will enjoy a nice BLT and some fries, go home and take a nap. At least that’s the plan.

If you haven’t read them yet, the Vokey SM10 wedge reviews are GOOD! @snoopy79 let me touch his new wedges briefly before pulling them back and muttering something like “my precious” or something like that…..

I found out the hard way the dealership doesn't take walk in's for service on weekends but they were nice enough to squeeze me in 2.5 hours after I got down here. I'm not complaining, I had some errands I wanted to run afterwards and ended up doing them beforehand. 

Plus, I'm getting to watch a little bit of The Open™ while I'm waiting.

My wife and I had a bit of a drive to SoCal. Before our drive I ran 5k along Lake Natoma and my wife had a swim. Nothing quite like LA traffic. We had a wonderful dinner with our son and daughter in law. Up today for some more time with them. Looking to take in the Orange County Fair.

I know it’s not morning. 
 

Been busy yesterday and into today getting chicken coops up and mowing yesterday before it rained today. Then this morning had to wrangle chickens as we had a washout under a run we didn’t see until this morning. I’m tired. I need a nap. No golf today or tomorrow as it’s going to be a soupy mess. Got to wait until next week after work to hopefully get out for 9. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all.

Just a lovely, relaxing day ahead. We’re hanging out with my wife’s mom around on one of the shopping streets. Nothing but smiles on the faces of passersby. We’re all just enjoying the good weather separately and together. 

So, I’m missing a bit of the Open, but I’ll be keeping tabs on it. Maybe Nicolai Højgaard can make the 10 ten.

small complaint… a general complaint, not specifically aimed at anyone in particular… but I remember when I used to smoke cigarettes, I didn’t do it while I was walking down the street, or standing in line waiting for my food.  I just don’t understand why I have to breathe in or smell all different kinds of second hand smoke and vape everywhere I go now.  
 

I have nothing against people choosing to do so, but have some decency not to exhale in front of a bunch of kids waiting for their food, and please stop vaping in grocery stores, or any other store for that matter.  We don’t care if it smells like strawberries, “it’s legal”, or any other excuse.  Have some respect for the people around you.

Good morning, well afternoon here! It's the first chance I've gotten to check out the thread and take a seat today. Caught the last little while of The Open Championship today and it looked like an absolute nightmare over there!

No golf on the agenda for me other than some practice. I did clean my Clicgear pushcart so I could get it ready and take some photos with my new MNML MR1 bag on it!

Well 20% turned into 100% for 15 holes, but that didn't matter!

It’s quite clear on the X-ray to see that his hip joint has not formed properly and hence the issue with his walking. As a result he is now booked in for a total hip replacement at the beginning of September, which his insurance won’t cover

At least once it’s done he should be pain free and have no further issues.

Healing prayers for your dog.

Got out after the Open and hit some putts, some bunker practice and some chipping, latter two with the 54 degree. Putts were decent, sand and chips less so. Then I cracked open the bottle of Glenmorangie that somehow made it back from Scotland with me. Hit the spot with a little Coca-Cola. A bit later planning to start my new Fit For Golf program, Senior Bands.

Congrats to Mrs. @Cfhandyman on the HIO! Now the pressure is on you!

I think my best chance at an HIO is going to be at The Cradle at Pinehurst, where I apparently grazed the hole on #8 on a somewhat recent round. However, my trips around NC for work are going to be greatly reduced and eliminated entirely by October or so, so I will have to find other excuses to visit Moore County.

Good morning spies. Busy day ahead here as the Boss has decided I am laying a new carpet downstairs today despite my constant comments that it’s the last day of the Open and I was hoping to watch it

Managed to get 9 holes in yesterday and didn’t play too badly but it wasn’t great. I’m struggling with the driver at the moment for some reason. Playing in a co petition tomorrow so hoping that I can get it back together, especially as it’s the start of the VCT comp too so don’t want to let @Cfhandyman down.

Good morning Guys. 

After day one of the 2 man better ball tournament we are tied for the lead in gross score and in 3rd or 4th in net score. I played decent and fortunately when my partner had a bad hole I was able to step up to the plate and come through to keep us on track.

We were fortunate and got done right before a big rain storm came through and changed the course conditions.

We have a late tee time today so I'm at work now for about 6 hours.

i woke up late which meant an abrupt workout.

The good news is I have 18 holes on the horizon this afternoon. I also get to test out my NEW RAM Axial irons today. They showed up 2 days early.
