Good morning Spies!

Working on a Hump Day cuppa. Dottie our foster dog has her pre adoption vet check up this morning. She is a bundle silliness and energy. Not sure we will adopt a young dog going forward. Our Riley got us programmed for a more chill dog. We miss him even more now.

It’s a beautiful sunny day here in CNY. I have a 2 mile run on tap today. I had my annual dermatology checkup scheduled for yesterday but my doctor went home sick so it’s moved to next week. Todays weather has me itching for the notice that my home course is opening.

Looking forward to the MGS Most Wanted Driver post. I was expecting to wake up to it. But alas, no.

Morning All,

 

Still have a fever, spiked at 102.7 and was forced to go to the ER last night. It’s a little more manageable being lower at 100.5 this morning. Food still doesn’t sound good. But drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. Hopefully whatever I have is gone soon. Everyone have a great day. I’m gonna go back to sleep.

Morning all! I’m having my coffee then getting a haircut this morning before work. Got a lot to get done today before my Wednesday evening golf group kicks back up at 5 for the first time this year since we now have enough daylight. Looking forward to the Most Wanted results today and reading all about the 2024 driver lineup!

Yeah, that’s probably for the best. Two different neighbors got new pups not long after their dogs died and ended up with ones with high energy, high maintenance. One neighbor is struggling right now with other dog owners in the area and the other buckled down and went religiously to training. His is still a handful, but at least he’s got voice control down.

It’s a tough decision to make, for sure.

Good Morning Spies!  Weather is beautiful here.  Supposed to be a warm day.  Hopefully can get some practice in today.  Yesterday afternoon was really windy so left the clubs alone and tried to recoup from this dang time change and the weekend.

Good morning all!

Today's adventure: narrow down the 1080p projector choices for the new golf simulator (8'x 9' viewable from Carl's) .  So many choices, so many prices, so many ways for my Minister of Finance to say NO

Optoma GT2100HDR and BenQ LH820ST are currently in the lead, with Epson L260F rounding out the top 3.  A 4K projector would be nice, but the price jump is insane!!!!

Hope someone, somewhere is out on a golf course and enjoying their morning while I slog through a work day!

Good Morning everyone!!  Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!  Temp is 37º and might make it to 60º; about the same as yesterday, but the wind is gone!!  Warming up to the 70’s over the next week and sunny!  

Back is still sore, but I will head to the course for light swing work and short game practice.  I could be persuaded to walk 9 holes if the opportunity presents itself.

All of the snow we got here in CNY is long gone and only lasted about 8 hours.. WE ARE BACK TO WARM WEATHER! high of 65 today which is making work even more dreadful as I have to look out my window and admire it instead of being outside and enjoying it.

Good morning everyone. Head is still in the clouds a little after shooting my first sub 70 round yesterday. Even more incredible was I made the bold decision to walk and carry my bag too. Something I haven’t done in over 10 years. Body is still a little achy but I might have to do this more often when the weather is optimal. Have around scheduled for Friday with my son so we’ll see how long it takes to repeat the feat. Just a relaxing day on the books for today as I hit the midway point for spring break. Hope everyone has a great day ahead!

Wow what a great round. If you really enjoyed the walk, but not the toting of your clubs you should look into one of these.

Mine is the Zip navigator and is not as stable as this one. I really enjoy the walk and it allows me my time between shots without the rantings or smoking of a cart partner.

Speaking of golf- Good morning spies! Temps will be in the high 70s for todays round but a system is moving into the area so it will be windy. No matter as long as it stays dry! We have reached the time of year where the rain normally stops for a few months. Yep, months. Last year the rain stop the third week in March and we didn't get another drop until August. Looking forward to the hot and dry!

Morning spies! Beautiful sunny morning here in Indiana, if a little cool. But the forecast says it'll hit 70f this afternoon and I have a quick 9 booked after work with a couple of friends. Should be warm enough to break out the shorts, ha ha. 9-hole muni course near work I played a league at last year. For a cheap muni ($17 midweek), it's usually in great shape and has sufficient water and OOB hazards to make it a decent challenge.

I've been trying to embed a little swing change lately, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Good Morning MGS! I haven't posted since Monday because of so much going on. Some of you may recall the story about the busted drain pipe under our kitchen floor and that saga is continuing with work being scheduled very soon. I have to remove our sink, countertop, and end cabinet so the plumbers have access. It will be a pain  not to have a fully functioning kitchen for a day or two but we will make it work.

In the meantime I been getting outside often to just enjoy the spring warmth. Working on my grip and follow through while smacking the foam balls around the yard. No golf in the future with $ being drained (literally) with this house work.

Good morning Spies! Still parked in the parking lot in Augusta. It's a little warmer today, yet still feels chilly. This afternoon it's supposed to approach 80 degrees. I'll be lucky to finish work before nightfall, so no golf today. Still hoping I can play tomorrow after a mandatory 10 am meeting (I have a lot of those).

Good morning spies!

Nearly halfway through the week and the weekend couldn't come quick enough. After two beautiful days in the high 60s, temps have dropped back down into the 50s. Unfortunately this likely means no outdoor golf in the near future, but I'm hoping to get some sim sessions in sometime this week.

Very excited for The Players this weekend. One of my favorite tournaments at one of my favorite courses. Hoping to see some good performances from the top players (no pun intended).

Just saw the Best Drivers of 2024 article drop on the main site! Happy to see Ping continue to reign supreme.

The sausage biscuit from McDonald’s is my guilty pleasure. It also makes me think of one of my favorite TV shows, Still Game. “Roll and Sausage”.

Well, back from the orthopedist.  Full series of x-rays on both knees just to tell me, yep, my knees are 73-years old.  Which is good news!  Ortho said still pretty good spacing between bones, no signs of bone wear or major arthritis.  Best was when he I should just keep on walking!  I have a 1:00 tee time today to do just that.

Good Morning!!  I live in SW-MN and usually in March there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground and 15 degrees out.  Yesterday is was 70 degrees so I was able to take my two boys out for our first round of golf!

Good Wednesday morning Spies!

Looking for one more nice day before the weather turns to the dark side tomorrow thru Sunday with a chance of some severe stuff in the mix... It seems that we are on a cycle that makes Thursdays regular round a crap shoot.  I'm prepared with new rain gear this week and will be at the course rain or shine! 

@Wheelieb Sure hope you come of it soon and get to feeling better.

@Preeway Great round! Something to be said for a nice stroll on the course...

@snoopy79 Hope all goes well with your project and you experience minimal downtime in the kitchen.

I am envious of @Dead Solid Bogey's grasp of the female language.  It would be so much easier to stay out of trouble if I could translate better...  @tdc1 good news on the knee. Time to walk a few holes a day, weather permitting.

It was a challenging day yesterday at Willbrook. Drive, Fairway was good but fell apart in the short game!

Great dinner and celebration for Hubby's birthday at Frank's last night.

Pawleys Plantation on tap today.  Hopefully my game straightens out for today!  Playing different courses hasn't been helping my handicap at all!!

I’m guessing if I’m able to carry my team to the finals, @Javs will see me fall to my normal self and shoot a high 70s round on my next foray. Then again, I might go back to Indian Creek and try to prove this wasn’t a fluke. It’s become my new favorite local course after taking the beast last year.

Good morning spies! Good afternoon to most.

Early range/practice day today. Super wet out this morning but I did find out a great piece of info. The local course allows players the back nine in the AM. You just have to ask nicely because they do not list the times for everybody. I will be fully taking advantage of the back 9 and now I'm all giddy to get out there this weekend  

In unrelated to golf news, I called the Fiancé and when Mr. Pickles heard my voice through the speaker phone, he apparently did not look all too pleased it was me. My guy thinks it was my idea to chop him . But he will get over it, maybe.
