Playing in the spin off from the Men's League the Friday small money game. That will give me 72 holes this week. I ended up being in the Shootout tomorrow. My old team one of the guys has guests in from out of town so they split the group and needed a 4th so I said WTH? My wife and I are in the 9& Dine too if the rain does not get us. But I am ok loosing weight and feeling better each day. My bud is excited and said a Blues Brothers quote "We are getting the band back together" Please guys do not be jealous of me. This is what I envisioned my retirement to be 3 years ago. This is basically what I was doing the first month I "retired" and was working part time when I got hurt. My wife is all for it better than me sitting around the house doing squat. If not for wholesale equipment changes with the graphite shafted irons I would not be able to achieve this. I am still sorting out working with graphite and my swing changes plus I am having to actually plot myself around a course again after playing WFO go for broke in the Shootouts. When we got married, my wife's brother, who lived across the street from us, said "It won't last 6 months." I proposed on the golf course; we rented the course for a day and got married on the 1st tee, said our vows, turned around and teed off. Food, drinks and golf for everyone! We are celebrating like we always do... playing golf. Our course is always full on Fridays, so we booked a tee time at a course we've played before that's about an hour's drive north out in the middle of nowhere! @Thin2win is in town this week for work and headed back to Spokane today. Chris is going to join us. Then we always go out to dinner. This will be a fun day!! We are home (NE Pennsylvania) and the courses are much different here than in South Carolina! No sand - deeper grass - creeks but no ponds with gators! Hoping I can at least keep to my handicap. Still shaking the winter rust off my swing but hoping I'll be back in form after a couple range sessions. I was able to get home and help put the baby down for her nap and got caught up on work. Apparently my wedges figured out that I was thinking about replacing them and they threw a fit- couldn't seem to get any of them to work right. They finally came around and behaved themselves. It was kinda difficult w a First Tee kids clinic getting ready to start and everyone hovering around the area. So I cut it short and went to another course nearby and used their driving range- so it was a good afternoon for the most part. I hope everyone has a great day and a golf filled weekend.
