Good morning everyone, and happy Wednesday. Hoping to get out for a round this afternoon assuming the weather cooperates as it looks like there is a chance of showers here and there. Would be an Edel irons only challenge round so would be a blast.

Good morning Spies, 

I woke to a post apocalyptic world outside. Here in Central NY we are really feeling the affects of the wildfires in Canada. It is even worse than what I experienced living in Seattle when the fires in Eastern Washington would being smoke and haze. No outdoor activities until this clears. To all the Northeast spies, stay safe.

Morning Spies. A little cooler in the Twin Cities this morning but still looks like 80 and humid by mid day.

Morning everyone. Have a lesson scheduled over the lunch hour and league tonight. But for now I get to drink coffee and wait for the AC repair guy to show up and tell me if he can fix my AC unit or if I get the pleasure of dropping a few grand on a new one. Hope everyone is off to a better start to their hump day than I.

IMHO- there's absolutely NOTHING to question about it- I think it's BRILLIANT Thanks again for bringing so much humor for us to enjoy

I feel your pain.  Prior to retirement coffee was my drug of choice.  I would drink 10-12 mugs a day.  (Notice I didn’t say cups as cups were like cappuccinos, a bit like a shot glass.). Since retirement I am down to 3 mugs a day.  But, a day doesn’t start right without that first cup.  I applaud your determination to work through this crisis.️️️️

Nice Central Florida morning, 73 degrees at 7am, on the range.  Nice to get out and also work on putting too. Enjoying first cup of coffee and work from home today!

GM Y'all- HAPPY day!!!!! Been a little bit crazy around here lately- but I see the light at the end of the tunnel (hoping it's NOT a freight train). Weather is REALLY nice here today mid-60s and NO WIND. Thought really hard about calling in to be able to go play in this anomaly of atmospheric conditions, but.......

I hope everyone has a great day and gets everything done that they need to.

We get smoke like this virtually every year; sometimes from Canada, but also from central Washington,  Oregon or Idaho/Montana depending on which way the wind is blowing.

Good Morning everyone!  A calm 65º but headed to 100º today.  Wife just left for her ladies league; she got a little overheated yesterday afternoon when we walked 9 holes.  She gets heatstroke very easily.  I'll probably head to the practice area for needed short game work.  I still have household chores, but I'm not going to do any today!!

We've had some smoke from Alberta and BC earlier this year in Arlington, Washington but it did not last long and so far no more yet.  Lately it's been an annual event so fingers crossed we won't see any more!

I envy you when you get the breezes off the Sound to clear the air.  We got the same smoke from Canada earlier this year too, but when the wind shifts, we can also get smoke from another direction.

Good morning all!  

 

Been a few (busy) days since I posted in here between work, baseball, and working on the convertible.  Still hoping my Dad and I will be taking that down to NC, but if anyone knows BMWs (I have an e46) here I wanted to refresh the cooling system since I'm about that point of the expansion tank likely to crack and then the battery was giving me issues (I think it was a parasitic draw issue versus the alternator going, but the car is a 2006 and I have no idea how old the alternator is.  It looks to be in decent shape, but it's certainly not new.  At least if I need to replace it I can DIY it, but that won't be until after the NC trip!

Jacksons team fought hard but lost our 3rd playoff game to go to the finals 14-15.  We simply ran out of eligible pitchers who could consistently reach the plate.  One of the hard parts of kid pitch at 8yo is the wide range of skills and strength.  We have a few kids that can easily throw across the diamond and a few that need a crow hop to reach home from the mound.  They did really well and every kid made progress through the year.  I love seeing Jackson make strong heads up plays.  He was playing third and there was a weakly hit ball down the third base line and he charged in to make sure he picked it up in foul territory as there was no way he was going to be able to throw the kid out.  2 pitches later the batter struck out, which was cool to see!

And my Jones bag came in yesterday!  I love it!  The design is slick and its nice and compact, but the pocket layout shows they put a lot of thought into it.  I also like that the base doesn't fully collapse in stand mode, so the dividers stay taught.

Hey hey hey, hope everyone's morning is going stellar. I've been reading through a lot of the LIV and PGA merger stuff and all of your thoughts on it in various threads... With all the rain (yes, still raining) here in CO, it's nice to have some drama to fall back on when golfing isn't available.

I’ve been mostly staying out of that thread.  Too much negative bantering and speculation.  Maybe once things settle down and actual decisions are made/known I may go back into the thread.

 

anyway GM everyone been busy  morning here, lawn guys came to the door to let us know that a rock hit and shattered car window.  Can’t get it fixed until Friday and supposed to have some rain the next couple of days.  Window covered but car is unusable….good thing we have multiple cars.   
 

More most wanted testing today.   Hitting utility irons better than I thought but still wouldn’t get a spot in my bag.  Ping crossover appears to be the leader of this category although I hit a DTC that was pretty good and VEGA was low launching but very straight and forgiving.   I think tonight is last session so I may peek over Phillips shoulder during the call tonight.  
 

Getting organized for the NC MGS outing; lots to do before I hit the road on Friday afternoon.
