Somebody didn’t waste time. Got two emails from online web shops with the headline:

LOYALTY REWARDED: Buy 3 dozen Titleist golf balls, get a dozen free.

I wonder if it’ll be a banner month for golf ball makers.

Titleist always runs their by 3 get 1 free promotion in March.  They didn't last year due to supply chain issues

Why is there a thought that OEMs will no longer make the current balls; especially when the MRL wont be added until 2026?

My cynical side raised its head a bit when I saw the emails. I guess the timing of the promotion convenient to my mind. As to the reason why, I guess we’re taught to look for slippery slopes.

Bit the bullet and made the purchase.  I hit the ball pretty typical distances, but definitely a low flight, low spin player.

So I went for the ProV1x, with my initials and lucky #7... I was an athlete in college but was a double digit number and for some reason i dont like the look of two digits on the ball

Somewhat related, I’m a mid flight low spin golfer typically (6.7 cap) so have tried playing ProV1X and the numbers look great on my GC3, yet on the course I almost always play better with ProV1. 
 

Anyone else have this where your on-course play is better with a ball that you shouldn't necessarily  be playing?

Launch monitors can't simulate areodynamics. Dimple pattern is different, which will lead to different real world performance
