First time playing Washington County. Great rolling course, very playable but tough. Greens were unusually slow according to the locals but full subtle contours which impacted approaches as well as putts. Fun time. I plan on going back again this summer.

Today was an interesting day. Hot and humid with 20 mph winds. When I say hot the weather channel said feels like 114, to me felt like I was back in Iraq! However, we had a big money match. One of the members brought in his pal. Guy played on the mini tour and was a plus 4. Well welcome to Texas! We played our match. Twosomes best ball. My partner and I put a hurting on them. Best of all I was driving past Mr. Mini tour guy (who was 6’6) with the new Paradym TD by 20 to 50 yards every hole. I think it got into his head. Beat him by 6 shots! Nice day!!

5th round posting!  I played on a new course, which messed up several scoring opportunities, but I will do better next time.  Cool 56° and overcast on the front 9 and cleared up mid 60°s with 10 mph gusts.

Weird round today. I started +5 through 3 and then finished the front nine with 5 pars and 1 bogey. The back nine was much of the same, a double bogey on 10 and 11 followed by 2 bogeys. Was only +2 over the final 5 holes. I’m really struggling on longer par 4s and par 5s right now. My hybrid just cracked last week so that definitely is playing a part in the struggle… but still, I really need to score better. 

In other news, I put my Ricki Fowler 60° wedge in the bag today in his honor.

Didn't have my best today, as I was still a little fuzzy after a late night at the country music fest.

Somehow managed to lose 3 drives that I blistered and felt like they should've be in the fairway. All if them were blind off the tee, roll up to where I thought they should be, nothing. So frustrating.

Rolled it really well and my short game was on point, so I salvaged it a little.

Definitely faded on the back, went 43/46. Chalking that up a late night with good friends and good music

Friday afternoon round at local course I have played numerous times this year. Again had to start on the back 9 and then follow a league around the front after making the turn, so very slow play on my last 9 holes.

We had much needed rain and cooler temperatures this past week, so there were some low spots still wet or puddled,

Played my usual consistent round, meaning if I missed a fairway or GIR that a bogey was a reality or safer score than attempting a "hero shot" and making things worse than they needed to be.

Just glad to be able to get out on a weekly basis with my current schedule.

Pretty hot day of golf, but was still pretty good. Super rough Front 9, I had a +17 on the Front 9, but on hole 9 I started to feel a rhythm and then just came alive on the Back 9, and kept it to +8. Putting was feeling strong a couple weeks ago and now it's burning me here and there. Can't wait for everything to line up, it feels like I could break 90 this year!
