Those look pretty good and the price point is nice for a set. Hopefully we'll see some reviews on these soon.

I was all ready with screen grabs and everything!! Lol - scooped again!

Very, very curious for some forum-members to get these in-hand. If I hadn't just splurged on a vlog cam, I'd probably be putting these on my XMas list just to test.

My guess is they're a slightly larger footprint than the 790s, but these are going to make a LOT of people happy.

Solid shaft option, too - and love that it's in reg and stiff.

A lot to like, really - except for that K-Sig badging. Ugh 😜

For anyone who missed out on these, I just wanted to point at that all they've done is use an open-foundry design which is the same one used by SMT for their SMT 579 irons, and you can buy a set of those 4-PW heads for $200 or $400 fully assembled. If you buy the heads, you can pair them up with shafts & grips of your liking and build them to your exact specs for quite a bit less than $500. So, these Kirkland irons really aren't that great of a "value" after all, and certainly nothing new or groundbreaking in terms of design.

I don’t know what time these clubs officially went on sale, but I ordered mine about an hour after this thread was started. I had been checking Costco several times a day for the entire month of November in anticipation of these. I am leaving for Hawaii on Wednesday and have a few rounds scheduled so I paid for the expedited shipping in hopes that they will be here on Tuesday and I can take them with me. Seeing how fast they went out of stock, until I get a shipping notification I will be holding my breath in hopes that I made it in before they sold out.
even if I don’t like the irons, I will definitely be holding onto them just for silly collectors value. Looking at the specs that are on Costco’s website it is interesting that the pitching wedge is a 45 but the Costco wedges have the gap wedge being a 52. That is a pretty big gap if someone wanted to have a Costco bag from top to bottom.

Interesting - certainly appear to be pretty similar (if not identical), but the lofts on the K-Sig are just different enough to be interesting (see below). Not sure what that means, per se, but also the shaft selection on their site isn't awesome. Comes with a True Temper Multi-Step Lite, anything else is a considerable upcharge (moving to the DG 105's makes the total $595).

Still, if you were ordering heads only, pretty sweet deal.

Often when a brand uses an open-foundry design they will tweak the spec sheet slightly, while still keeping them with in tolerances, so that way they aren't exactly the same as anything else out there using the same model. Or it's possible they tweaked the specs slightly since they obviously had their own molds made with their branding.

As for the shafts, the Multi-Step Lite on the SMTs is probably very comparable to the Elevate 115 in the Kirklands - which isn't the $35 version with VSS tech, but rather a watered down OEM version with totally different specs which likely costs them closer to $5/shaft.

Tried to find reviews out there for the SMT 579's and there is nothing. Only thing I found was a post from last June on another golf forum where someone pointed out the striking similarity there. Like the finish on the SMT's a lot better.

I wouldn't be surprised 1 itty bitty little bit if these heads performed like every other hollow-body iron in which their distance dispersion is a mess compared to single piece forgings/castings.

Don't obsess over the fact whether it's SMT or Kirkland or whatever. 99% of golf club heads generally come from the same few companies in China. I am currently having billet milled putters being made there, and they have a ton of offerings. If Jasde/GolfMylo is manufacturing this, then it's likely going to be an acceptable product.

What's that phrase? All roads lead to Rome?

Distance dispersion has a lot to do with the golfer and their abilities. Played plenty of hollow body that performed really well. Tough blanket statement to make.

I only use robots when talking about golf clubs because robots remove the human element completely. Hopefully if I can get some capital out of the putters I can acquire a golf testing robot so I can publish all the datasets and methodologies so OEMs can put their money where their mouthes are. Hopefully can get that done this year, here's an example image of the data in R-Studio.

I get why robot testing is important. But given the different swings, body types, lies and everything else that comes into play for golfers while on the course testing with ppl is what I prefer. It's why I put so much into member testing.
