It was. I can't sleep so I have been watching various golf videos the last few hours and remembered I needed to post this one.

Something about solo golf can be satisfying

Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time.

A majority of my rounds are solo. Peace and quiet and enjoying nature. The walk down the fairway thinking about the next shot, enjoying the walk and the course with no distractions is wonderful. 
But there are also times when sharing this with a golf buddy is just as good.

Most of my rounds are also solo walks but there were several instances where I had one friend walk with me this past season. I do have to admit that it made for enjoyable rounds most of the time. I will need to find a balance next season because I do still enjoy my solo sunrise rounds a lot.

Absolutely enjoyable to watch - I watch a lot of the Tubers who post solo rounds, some have way too much talk and not enough walk…. Most rounds I play are solo, I ride mostly because of my left foot and the limited stress it can take from the wreck in ‘16.  (Car vs motorcycle w/left foot in the middle = less than optimal walking abilities, maybe more nines in ‘24).

I have playing partners that think it’s weird to play a round without a friend there. I’m just like “ I get to meet some pretty cool people and hey if I don’t like them I just toss in the ear buds and play my game” I just don’t care what other people say I walk up and most of the time introduce myself and say “ hey I’m playing from the whites, I’m not a great golfer but I won’t slow you down” and usually they just laugh and we have a great day. 

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round. 
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

Cool video and course, thanks for sharing.  There is something about golf and fly fishing that I find so much in common.  One is you against the course, the other you against the fish.  Both are largely performed in beautiful settings and doing either, solo, with friends, or strangers, is lots of fun.

(..no how no way around here on the East Coast and especially in the NY Metro area and Long Island .. 'cept maybe dead of winter with 30s temps falling precipitation and blowing wind...)
