So I’ve been looked to upgrade my Mavrik irons and have been torn on what to go for but then stumbled across the Cobra Forged Tec irons and really liked them. I was unsure as I know they’re about due to be replaced but then found a set of 4-PW +GW that had been custom ordered with -0.25 KBS $ Taper Light shafts but then not bought. It just so happened that this is the length I was fitted into but to buy them on the site I found them they are £1120. However because these had already been custom made and then not bought I got them for £499.95 so snapped them up!

They still have the shrink wrap on the heads and are brand new so can’t wait for them to arrive

That's a steal! Custom and never used? Hope they prove to be a true improvement for you!

I think my bag is set for the foreseeable future, as I’m pretty sure I blew past any budget, should I have made one, for this year lol.

That said, I think the last upgrades I could use would be at the long game of my bag. It might make sense to do a fitting for woods and hybrids and see how things look after all of my work getting my game in shape this year!

I’ll be following along to here to see what kind of fun tools everyone gets!

I finally took the plunge and upgraded my irons. I went with the Callaway a.i. smoke irons 5-pw,Aw. Cp2 blue wrapped mid grips and plus 1/2in length. Had one range session but there were no distance markers then played in my first tournament ever yesterday.  I debated playing my old irons due to knowing the numbers better but couldn't resists playing the new ones. Didn't shoot that great, to be expected not being used to the stronger lofts, length, and ticket grip. Next up on the upgrade list are some wedges,  I've never had wedges outside of a standard set.  Open to recommendations. Might look into a hybrid or 5 wood to

That's one heck of a find! The Forged Tec irons are amazing and I can't wait to see photos and hear what you think.

Wow, fantastic find. Strongly advise against using my “ Economic Empress’s “ fiscal policy and going and buying £620 worth of other stuff because that is how much you saved on the irons…

I bought 2 clubs last week. An i525 5 iron which I actually ordered a month ago, but it came in last week. Then in a moment of weakness, (okay, I drove for 90 minutes to get it so it wasn’t “a moment of weakness”) I bought an iCrossover 4 iron. I am loving the iCrossover so much, I’m considering replacing my 3H with an iCrossover 2 iron.

While out trying to find a replacement jacket for my sons upcoming wedding,  I came across these little gems. 

 

 Now, Nike and I have not always gotten along. They run narrow, even in their wide widths. I've owned 3 pairs in my entire life, and only currently have a pair of runners in wide width that fit well. Mainly because they are cloth uppers in my opinion.

These are 1 size bigger than normal for me, but they are not wide width either.  For some reason these fit really well. And for the price, I couldn't pass it up! This was 100% a frivolous purchase, as i have 4 pair of golf shoes already. (2 winter, waterproof, and 2 summer)

I've also wanted a boonies hat for the summer, and this was 65% off! Score!!

Just purchased the Footjoy Flex Golf Shoes.  Blew out the pair of golf shoes I was wearing last Friday while Rangering and needed a quick replacement.  

Already played one round with them & really surprised how they held up in the morning dew & kept my feet dry.  Going to wear them again for tomorrow morning's round. 

I'm a fan of the spikeless golf shoes.  My favorite golf shoes are still the Sqairz!

Just picked up a brand new t350 4 iron that I'm going to make into a driving iron. Has 20* loft and plan on finding a different shaft for it. 

Someone had ordered these with rifle 6.5 shafts and they had them in the pre-owned with 4-6 iron and talked them into selling me just the 4 for $80.

Just found a Kinetixx TS-I Trajectory in stiff and 84g shaft for $14.99 on golfworx I'm going to try out. $9 dollar shipping.

Mid trajectory shaft and for the price worth the try.

So as promised, there’s nothing like a new car smell, I mean a new club smell. 
Love unwrapping new golf items.

As this was my first time hitting these wedges I can say, looks amazing. 
Feel of the face, buttery soft, started to get used to them towards end of the round, was hitting some extra shots on holes with them for practice as we didn’t have anyone behind us, ever, hit a couple like 12-24 inches from the hole from around 75 /80 yards, so they have some good stopping power. 
Had one sand shot in round but no real sand in the bunker so couldn’t really say they performed well out of the bunker. 
I’ll report more on these later once I’ve played a few rounds. 

  Both still in the wrapper.
