Mr_Theoo 3,160
Is it jsut me or is there not as much excitement to watch golf on tv after the masters. Besides the up coming majors I just don't feel like watching as much golf on tv as I did before the masters. Maybe its because its finally spring and I'm playing and getting out more? What about you? Do you watch more or less golf on tv after the first major of the year? 1 Quote Driver: Epic 10.5 set to 9.5 w/ Tour AD-DI 44.5 FW: F6 baffler set at 16º Hybrid: NONEIrons: 3i 2014 TP CB 4-PW 2011 TP MC w/ TT S400 Wedges: 52º 56º 60 º w/ KBS C-Taper XS Soft-stepped Putter: Sigma G Tyne 34 inches Gold dot
TIBA_Putt - Kyle 139
I watch less. Maybe it's the tournaments? They don't seem to have the same excitement after the Masters. Except for the big ones. And maybe that's why....maybe the big names are gearing up for the Players, U.S. Open and Open Champ. In any case, I didn't watch any of Harbor Town or the Zurich and probly won't watch much until the Players. Quote TIBA Putt - Discover your best stroke.

wbealsd 1,063
Now that the weather is becoming "golfable," it's time to play golf, not watch it. I'm not on the forum as much, either. Because,... Zeasy 383
Only the majors get my attention nowadays. Golf is a lot like the MLB and the NBA for me. There's so much content that it's almost overbearing. I don't have the time to really get into regular season games like years in the last. Watching every Celtics game of the season en route to a finals win was pretty epic and also impossible to ever do again. #NoLifeThatYeat Quote
D: 9* G400 Max w/Xcalibur TSL

F: 14* XR Pro 16 w/Hzrdous Red

I: SLS-01 4-SW w/Paderson SL

W: DGR 59 w/Dynamic Gold SL

P: Artisan 0318 or Edel TB

BadgerGolfer 767
Im to the point where I only watch the majors. Other than the majors, the rest of the tournaments dont matter anyways and unless a player I like is leading or in contention going into the final round, I dont really have much motivation to watch. Baseballfrk8998 54
I'll watch golf when I'm in the room and it's on but I don't make a point to watch many of the tournaments except for the majors. I just like to see the best players in the world when I watch and the majors usually have those players.
hckymeyer 6,247
I still love watching golf, but it's mostly weather and kid dependent. My days of being able to sit on the couch on a Sunday afternoon for 4-5 hours and watch golf are about 4 years past (have 4 & 1yr olds). With nicer weather here I'd much rather be playing golf or outside with the kids anyway. It's not for lack of wanting, but other things bring me more enjoyment. Even with the Masters I had to record it and stay off social media all day until I could watch it after the kids went to bed. WelshNick 3
Without the biggest names in the fields, the tournaments after the Masters are a hangover. Plus the Masters was (virtually) won by Thursday night this year. So the hype ended up being deflated, from a competition point of view. We have the Players coming up, that should generate more interest. I have the golf on every night it's on, Thursday-Sunday, but I won't flick channels on major weekends, on regular tournament weekends something else might take my interest. Kor.A.Door 5,839
It's that way every year, I think it's because the "field" isn't as good, sure you get good players but there are only a few of the top players, the next tournament that usually features a very strong field is the Wells Fargo Championship here at Quail Hollow, but I think that's the tourney where guys are fearing up for the next major, and it's a really tough challenging course. westy 523
Of course I watch PGA golf all year and loads of it, much more than European tour events. But, I'm lucky the golf is on from 8pm usually in the UK, so instead of some mindless sh@t involving simon cowell I get to watch golf (if Mrs weary lets me of course). So this past weekend was a great event, the final day was one of the best in months. But of course there's a lull after the Masters, now everything builds to the Two Opens and the players do need to go and see their families etc. Quote Rest in peace long sticks - I'll remember you TM Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Regular TM RBZ Stage 2 Fairway 14.5 stiff Adams Blue Hybrid No. 3 stiff Adams Super xtdHybrid 21.5 Stiff Ping G30 4 and 5 Iron - Regular CFS Shaft Ping i25 6 - PW Regular CFS Shaft TM Y Groove Gap Wedge Cleveland CG10 Sand Wedge PingTR Piper Putter, adjustable shaft, SuperStroke Fatso Titleist StaDry Cart Bag Motocaddy S3 Pro Trolley Foot Joy City, Adidas Boost Boa and Adidas Superstar shoes Pro V1x in the summer, Titleist Velocity in the winter.
