Eisen
My whole bag to be honest. Other than the putter I just got fit for. I took advice from the wrong folks, got back into the game after playing a ton throughout my childhood. Everyone assumed I'd need a regular flex and could just go from there. Turns out I need stiff flex since my swing speed can vary from 108 mph full, down to 95mph for a 3/4 swing. And the "you don't need to be fit while you're learning" people, like on one hand yeah, I don't need perfect fitting. but on the other hand, I need irons and wedges that have CLOSE to the right spin. SO I'm putting everything in the corner and starting over. cksurfdude 1 Quote Driver RadSpeed XB - HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 6.0S | RadSpeed XB 3 Wood - Fujikura Motore X F3 6.0R RadSpeed XB 3&5 Hybrid - Fujikura Motore X F3 6.0R | KE4 Max Irons - TrueTemper Score LT R TSW DRM Forged Wedges - Fujikura Kuro Kage 70 S | Battle Ready Spitfire - heel shafted 35" 4.5 LS Stand Bag |Other: |Ball: Vice Pro

Jim Shaw
When I purchased my current driver, around 3 years ago, I tried all the top drivers of the time with the goal of adding a minimum 10 yard gain in distance. I am looking at getting fitted this year for new irons so that will be fun. cksurfdude 1 Quote committed to performance excellence

I wasn’t impressed; kind of a letdown Just another example of how every golfer is different. I’m absolutely loving my G430 LST. I posted this on WRX. It’s just so consistent. “Have a quite a few swings in with the Ping G430 lst 9* and the BGT Brava X shaft. This thing is amazing. I started with the flat -1* setting and weight nuetral Sunday night. Really good numbers with a solid 10-15 yard draw. Moves the weight to the fade setting and hit the ground before the ball 4 straight times. Completely changed the feel and timing for me. Went back to the neutral setting and right back to the draw and solid contact. Stopped after work to get some more swings and numbers with winter league starting. From the first swing I got the same numbers and flight as last night. Just so consistent. Wanted to try the fade setting again to see if I could lessen the draw. First swing, bam hit the ground. Decided to go to the big minus(-1.5*) instead of flat -1*. Perfect. Ball speed up 1-2 mph, launch stayed the same but ball flight was now a 5-10 yard draw. Exactly what I’m looking for. This combo is as long(not longer) as anything I have ever hit but definitely more consistent with spin and distance. The feel of the face with the Brava shaft is intoxicating. I just wanted to keep hitting it. “ cksurfdude, cnosil, GolfSpy SAM and 4 others 7 Quote What is in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag or Jones MyGolfSpy bag Driver: Dark speed LS 8* set to -1.5* with an Attas Daaas 4x shaft @ 45” Fairway: F85 3 wood with a XPhplexx Agera X @ 42.5” F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" Driving Iron: Rapture 2-Iron Irons: SMS Pros 4-PW with Steelfiber I95s Wedges: SMS 50* T grind with Steelfiber i110s Glide 4.0 46* zz wedge shaft Glide 4.0 E grind 54* zz wedge shaft Putters: Mezz.1 34” 69* lie EV5.1 black 33.5” 69* lie

BuckeyeBill
Biggest mistake that is made is making a purchase off the rack because it looks good or even felt good in your hands. GET FITTED! Find a reputable fitter and spend some time. If you can find a demo days where you are actually hitting off grass, do so. Mats in a controlled environment will not translate to the course. If you live at altitude like I do, have them adjust the simulator to the correct altitude (most are set to sea level). Try different clubs with different shafts, you may find the less expensive option is the best for you. A poor choice on clubs will frustrate you, and no one wants to be frustrated on the course :0 cksurfdude, Jim Shaw and Rickp 3 Quote Buckeye Bill! bens197
Crazy as it sounds, the 6 year pursuit of the perfect bag has been settled. I finished 2022 with a bag that I really love top to bottom which includes a great ball. I was fit for a TSI3 about 2.5 weeks prior to the release of the TSR line yet I hit this thing so well, I cant really justify chasing something and will remain content with this awesome setup. I may adjust with a few items this season...here's what I had in mind and I'll keep you posted: I've been reading a lot about LA Golf tech and the consistency of their shaft builds. The consistent plane it maintains on its own through impact is intriguing. I am quite fond of the modus shafts, how well they're made so if I need to satisfy an itch, I may tinker with a L series wedge shaft in a 50* T22 or SM9 this year. My HMB MP 20 3 iron is pretty solid. It has good days and bad days and if there is a weakness in my bag, this would probably be the one. Ping's new crossover looks good, perhaps a hybrid for the first time, we'll see. Besides that...I am secretly hoping that LAB manufactures a smaller version of the DF.1 putter. I really want to try that style in a smaller head...c'mon sam! cnosil, GolfSpy_SHARK, Berg Ryman and 6 others 9 Quote Titleist TSi3 Fujikura Speeder NX Blue 60X TaylorMade SIM2 3 wood Fujilkura Ventus Blue 7-X Titleist U505 2 Tensei 1K Black 85 X Titleist T100 4-P Nippon Modus 3 120X PING S159 50-S 55-H 59-T DG X100 Vokey SM8 50, SM9 54 & 60 Nippon Modus 3 120s L.A.B. MattWillGolf
I was looking around 2nd Swing and wandered into their Handmade Stix section. They sell wedges by JP Golf, which are priced liked the latest driver offerings, $595. They certainly look unique but has anyone ever seen these wedges or seen a review? I tried searching here but was unable to find anything. I suspect that part of the price is driven by the amount of labor that goes into each club but how do they perform? GolfSpy_APH
Can't decide on this one. Don't need a new putter but these are hard to find so you all will make the decision for me. 10 Likes and I buy it. 7 hours till the listing closes. cnosil
@McGolfhas me thinking about upgrading my putter shaft again. Makes me wonder if the improvements come from the stiffness and lower torque of the shaft and if other graphite shafts would have the same benefits. Is a Diamana, Fuji, UST, LA Golf, PXG, or other shaft going to give similar benefits? Does this apply to both light and heavier putter heads? The big thing holding me back is I need to commit to a putter.
