I've been getting testy with some contributors on this forum and since I no longer play, it isn't necessary for the regular players to see that. It's been lot's of fun, but I'm done. sixcat
Chalk another example up to "they don't make things like they used too!" My in-laws are nearing 80 years of age and need more and more help. They have lived in their house since the early 1960's. We live in a subdivision less than 300 yards away so, we are the "chosen ones" to look out for them. They were leaving town for a few days yesterday morning. My father-in-law called to say they didn't have hot water and asked if I would stop by after work and see if I could find the issue. My first thought was the water heater, which was obviously the issue. The side of the heater was stamped "May 1980." I scheduled a plumber to come today and install a new one. I told my father-in-law what the issue was and told him "the new one wont last that long, I guarantee!" He said "neither will I!" tony@CIC, tommc23, cnosil and 6 others

NMNM
We have flocks of them walking around the neighborhood, a sure sign that I live too far away from the city. (Not being able to see a subway station from my window used to be the standard that I used for living too far away from the city.) Anyway, when my dog was a pup, she'd bark furiously at them. Now, she seems to just ignore them, just as they do her. But we never see individual ones. It's always a flock or a gaggle or whatever its called---I can live in the country forever and never become a proper country guy knowing all of the terms, , I guess. Anyway, they're all over the place, but come next month, I'll still buy one at the supermarket that somebody else killed. I don't do wet work. As a matter of fact, at this stage, I don't do anything more than I have to! Rickp and Shankster
