tha_carter7 13
Walk all day long. People complain about golf being too expensive. A walk on a muni shouldnt be more than $60 and on private courses it's "free" (included in the dues). Always walk. 2 Quote Driver: 915 D3 10.5* - Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana S+ Blue 60 3 Wood: Vapor Fly 15* - Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana S+ Blue 70 Hybrid: 712U 3 Iron - TT Dynamic Gold S300 Irons: 714 AP2 4-P - TT Dynamic Gold S300 Wedge: BV Raw Black SM5 52*.12*F, 56*.14*F, 60*.08*M - TT Dynamic Gold W Flex Putter: 33" Cameron & Crown 6M Futura - Super Stroke 3.0 Slim Ball: ProV1

rwc356 9
I try to walk at least 9 holes when I play - when its cool I'm good for 18. I seem to have better pre-shot timing when a walk as opposed to rushing to the shot in a cart. 1 Quote Just an older guy with 8 or 9 clubs and a MacKenzie Walker bag. JerkoMcGee 5
I've always walked, but life got a lot better after I started using a push cart. I broke my collar bone a while ago, and after two surgeries - one to put a plate in and other to take it out, it still bothers me to swing my bag on and off of my back. Not an issue with a push cart. 3 Quote Driver: Ping G30 LS Tec 10.5 Hybrid: TaylorMade JetSpeed 3, 4 Irons: Mizuno JPX 800 4 to PW Wedges: Cleveland RTX-3 50*, 56*, 60* Putter: Odyssey O-Works #1 Wide

DocDuffer 10
Walking is always better. I let the riders play through and take my time to enjoy the game and my surroundings. It's what the game is about. Having the cart for easy shade on really warm days is helpful, but I don't press the speed of play. 3 Quote Driver: Fly Z+3-Wood: Launcher HBHybrid: King F7 3-4Irons: 3100 I/H, graphite58 Wedge: MP-T5 58-degree, graphite 60 Wedge: 60-degree Putter: Sigma G Piper 3 PP60 Balls: Got 'em. Charli 913
I walked today in a nice surprise sleet storm. I must admit hamstrings were starting to bark on hole 17. The 45 minute drive home was awesome until I had to get out of the truck.

Cbk57 56
I prefer to walk, I am returning to golf in part as something to do while going for a walk. If conditions permit(they do not always) it is the way the game was meant to be played and you should walk if you can. I am convinced that if your health and fitness permit walking that you will play better as the body stays loose and more prepared for subsequent shots. Even when forced to use a cart in the past, as much as possible, I would strap my bag on and walk to my shots. Still a half measure though as you have to comprise your timing to get the club or clubs you need. You can also walk your line to the shot and have time to think it over(for better or worse) as you go. When I learned to play though, mainly in high school there simply were no carts permitted so walking was just what you did. My first golf bag was an enormous leather cart bag and people looked at me funny when I used a pull cart at a couple golf meets. I did trash that in favor of an ultra light bag as soon as possible. 1 Quote Driver Taylor Made M2 Ping G 3 wood 14.5 loftPing G hybrid 19Hogan Radial 3-PW(forged circa 1989)Evnroll ER2, Golf bag, old and worn out circa 1989
Zylem 608
I like walking but most of the time I ride. As most of the gripus I play with ride and I don't want to be a solo walker. My nephew has just taken up the game and when I play with him we walk. It's a great way to introduce juniors to the game and I believe walking helps reduce the strain from a prior bad shot. Plus it gives us more time to talk about what's happening in his life. You'd be amazed at the stuff a 12 has on his plate. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
