*PSA* Ben Hogan TK15 Wedges now $65 factory direct on EBay

If anyone is thinking of getting some of the original TK15 wedges before they are gone (shankster), Ben Hogan has them listed on eBay for $65 each with free shipping. That's cheaper than their website.

I'm sure stock is pretty limited but it's an incredible prices for some very nice wedges.

Thanks for the heads up. I have the 52 and have been waiting for a 56 & 60. The 60 is available on the Bay but still no 56! One of these days;)

Btw, really like that 52...

I went with 47-51-55-59-63. They are all silly easy to hit from any lie. It might be overkill, all these wedges, but I just wanted to have a complete set of 4* gapped wedges before they were gone.

The rare 5 wedge setup. Sorry to threadjack but do you find that you may have some large gaps in your long clubs?

Not at all actually. I switched my 16* 3-wood for an 18* (both 20 year old Nicklaus Air Max woods) then go 23, 27, 31 in the Ft. Worth Hi irons; 35, 39, 43 in the Hogan Ft. Worths; then the previously mentioned 5 wedges. Add a driver and putter and there are my 14 with 4* gaps from 23* 4-Iron to 63* lob wedge.

I am pretty adept at opening up a wedge for a flop, but it is still a risky shot, especially on tighter lies. The 63, with the v-sole, a tight lie is no problem.

I just went back to my full Hogan setup and finally hitting the ball well again.  I am debating ordering a complete backup set of irons and wedges before Hogan stops making the Ft. Worth line.

It seems very strange that Hogan would abandon their design philosophy of the wedges looking the same as their irons. That seamless transition was the first thing that caught my eye when I first saw them. It made perfect sense to me.

Now with Terry Koehler gone I think the designs will be more traditional with wedges that look very different than the irons.

I also believe new ownership wants a wedge design that isn't so tied to one particular iron design in their lineup. The new Equalizer wedges can be marketed as wedges to go with the PTx irons, the new Edge irons, or any other irons they release, while the TK15 wedges whole idea was the integration with the Ft. Worth irons.

I also asked the Ben Hogan rep over the phone about TK15 wedges in black to match the new Ft. Worth Black irons. He said they have no plans for that.
