About 12-13 years ago I decided to go back and try and collect a golf ball from every golf course I had ever played.  And since this dates back to the 1970's I had my work cut out for me.  So outside of the courses that either don't sell them, or in some cases, have gone out of business, I have a pretty decent collection of every logo ball from every golf course I have ever played.  I also started collecting rare balls that  are an assortment of unusual, down to the tournament balls that I have been to, such as the Masters and the Players, etc.  I think in these pictures I have over 180 different logo balls total.  Does anyone collect these things, and if so, do show off your collection.

Wow.

Love your pics.

I do as well and of course is minute compared to yours.

I have about 5 dozen and only from golf courses I have played.

 

I also collect scorecards and have kept everyone since I started golfing.

Yes... I collect them. However, my collection isn't just about courses I've played. Mine are mostly logo balls that various companies have given away. Most of them too are ones I've found. I don't display any of them anymore because I have so many and they are sort of meaningless. I'm guessing my collection is about 300-500 and one day when we get our First Tee Clubhouse/headquarters setup I'm going to donate them and put them all out on display as golf wall decoration.

 

I also and still collect poker chips from courses I've played and will probably do them same with them eventually. I might have 50 or 75 perhaps.

 

Gswag.... in the bottom photo is that a Rawlings golf ball? I don't recall ever seeing a ball made by them.

Yes indeed it is.  A buddy I work with used to own a golf shop where he worked on clubs, etc, and he gave it to me.  He said he had tons of those balls from 30-40 years ago.  Then again, he also has a couple of sets of Ping Eye 2 irons he can't give away as well.

Not to hijack but I collect the pencils of new courses I play. I've actually slacked off the last few years collecting them though. My rule is I have to play the course UNLESS it's somewhere amazing Pebble, Augusta, etc. (which I don't have any of those) lol

I just started so I need to back track years of playing to catch up. Last winter I found an add on CL for a couple hundred logo balls from the guys dead grandpas collection. Couple hundred logo balls in two racks for $40. I waa really looking for a specific course but the collection did have it. I offered $20 and walked away with about a dozen balls I needed for my collection. Supposedly the grandpa played or attended tournies at all the courses from all over the world. Masters, US Open, British Open. Some quite old.
