I violated my golf rule yesterday; Don't start playing a round of golf in the rain. We had showers yesterday and my wife went to play anyway. It looked like the showers would stop by the time she made the turn to the back nine, so I headed to the course to join her. I misjudged... showers stopped when we were on #16. Pretty miserable at 39º; 3 doubles and only 2 pars, but it was my first time on the course since Christmas. The back nine was very sloppy from all the melted snow and rain the past few days. If I was the Super, the course would have been closed. Canceled today's tee time. Been super busy the past few weeks with work prepping for QBR/Board reviews and transferring hardware back home to set up to WFH for a month or so while our office is renovated. What do you guys think of the set up? On to last nights sim league where I'm back in the winners circle shooting a +1 on the back side of Augusta with my partner this week! Highlight of the round was a 225 Baby fade to a back left pin on #14 with my Mizuno STZ 230 Hybrid from testing in 2023 that I stuck to 8ft for the birdie. I have been having a blast playing in this league and can feel the rust and quirks starting to fall off which I think will be very helpful this coming season! It's a no work Saturday kind of morning and I'm looking forward to not being subject to the alarm clock tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some golf related activities in my future.
