Popular Post JAYER38
Good morning MGS! I went missing last week as I was on vacation and decided to try and stay off my phone and computer to enjoy it the best I could with friends and family! Really enjoyed being in Panama City, FL for a JetBoat gathering cruising the waters and fishing. I did want to play golf while I was down there but didnt get a chance to sadly. BUT anyway hoping to get back out on course this week and work on this swing. Have been trying to figure out a way to adjust my swing for more effortless power while staying consistent as I tend to get tired by the end of a round and it shows on the score card forsure! snoopy79, Josh Parker, Owengeorge13 and 17 others 20 Quote DRIVER Paradym Ai SMOKE MAX D w/ Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 65-R 10.5* WOOD STEALTH 2 Plus 15* w/ Mitsubishi Kali Red 65-R 42" 15* HYBRID Big Bertha 19 w/ UST Recoil DART 75-S 20* IRONS TS3 Forged 4i-PW w/ True Temper Score LT 100-R WEDGES Glide Forged Pro w/ ZZ115-W 48-10*/53-10*/58-10/58-6* PUTTER HB SOFT 8 w/ Center Shaft 3* Check out my Tests... Popular Post Willie T
Good morning spies....Yesteday's round was a hot muggy one even after the quick T-storm and associated rain. Anyway today is a new day - doggie has a vet appt first thing, so that will chew up some of the day. BTW - I do get to go back to the course today seems I left my prescription glasses in the cart yesterday eventing (I was literally the last guy off the course and knew the cart attendant wanted to get out of there). Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, Yesterday was an...interesting day...Spent a total of 6 hours at the gun range on base sweating so much that the monsoon season in other countries would be a drizzle. I won't go much into it other than to say it wasn't worth it. Today is recovery from that and doing paperwork that involves the completion of range events. I think tomorrow I am going to go and maybe look at the DF3 putter and get it from Golf Galaxy. That is if it is still there when I go. Nothing major going on this week. Well other than my class on Thursday and Friday about how to use my GI Bill. Gonna be hot again today, as a heat advisory was already sent out for the day. Hope everyone has a great day. Popular Post Erin B
Good morning spies. Getting ready for the tournament this morning with the VGA at my local course but first I have to run a couple errands like getting my daughters oil changed in her jeep.. Supposed to be cooler today so that will be nice and hopefully I won’t have 37 putts like I did yesterday. Popular Post Byrnzee
Good morning spies! Tried to hit the range after work last night, only to find that there had been storm damage and the range was closed. Hopefully it's nothing serious and everything can get fixed relatively soon. Luckily the worst of the storms in the area missed us to the south. I hope that everyone who was in the tornado's path last night is safe and sound. Today is my wife's birthday, so we'll be headed out to dinner this evening to celebrate. Picked a new restaurant that neither of us have tried, so I'm looking forward to it. I considered getting her a beginner set of clubs as a gift this year (she has expressed interest in going to the range with me), but that seemed like more of a gift for me than her I hope everyone has a great day! Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning, and happy Tuesday everyone!! Got some much needed rain yesterday. Not a lot, but some. Forecast looks to include a lot of rain for the next 7 days. I'm hoping it holds up on Sunday morning to allow our round, but we'll see. After 3 rounds with the Ti 340 Mini driver including a shaft change and some hosel adjustments, I've come to the conclusion the club is too fade-biased for me. I've played a draw my entire life and not sure I can all of a sudden just start playing a fade. Plus, I spin the ball too much off the tee already and don't need anything added to that. So the BRNR goes back in the bag while I also test the Mizuno ST230 Max driver. I think I'm going to sign-up for the Me and My Golf annual membership to help with my irons and other parts of my game. There's no "lessons" as it's mainly a curated plan to work on whatever topic is part of that plan. So I'll look to supplement that with either Skillest online "lessons" or just get a package of lessons from my local PGA pro who I've worked with in the past. But now that my garage setup is ready for use, I can start in on the process. Popular Post jbern
Good morning! It's been a while since I've been on the GMT, so I've got quite a bit of catching up to do. Over the weekend I was supposed to get out golfing with an old friend from high school, but his flights ended up getting delayed and swapped and he didn't have any time to visit after he landed in Grand Rapids. I was bummed about both not golfing and not getting to visit with him. It was a stormy night last night, but thankfully not as bad as people were predicting. It's looking pretty nice outside right now, so hopefully I can get to a short game area close to my work and practice my chipping and putting for a while during lunch. Have a good day everyone! Popular Post Preeway
Good morning everyone. Weather has finally taken a turn and the heat has lifted. Highs the next few days should max out around 82° so it’s gonna make for perfect golf conditions today and tomorrow. On tap for today is Arbor Links, the course I caddy at. The course is playing firm and the greens are rolling fast so now to see if I can do any of the things I tell the players I caddy for to do, . Popular Post Kenny B
Good Morning everyone!! My BIL leaves today to visit his son in Bozeman MT, and my wife just left for the golf course to play with her lady friends. I will join them and walk the back nine (flatter) before the temp gets to a high of 104º. Been working on sprinkler issues for a week, and finally gave up… lack of pressure. In the spring I had an irrigation guy replace 20-year old valves, but the pressure didn’t get much better. So I called him; he came out and said the valves he replaced were defective. He replaced them again in 20 minutes and now I have great pressure; no charge!! Now I can get good watering on my lawn and garden on the 3 days a week I get to use the system. The drought has everyone rationing water this year. sirchunksalot, William P, Swood1994 and 12 others 15 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Popular Post rkj427
Good morning Spies on a much later start here for me than usual. The storms which rolled through overnight actually woke me up about 3:30AM and I had a hard time trying to get back to sleep afterwards. Currently it is sunny and windy, and supposed to get back to the mid 80's again today, with a chance of more rain later in the afternoon and evening. @cksurfdude I think you are flying into Omaha, and a couple years ago, I drove from MI to NE and picked up a friend who flew in from WA at that airport, and we spent a few days visiting another friend who lives in York, NE which is about an hour from Lincoln, or about 2 hours from Omaha. If you had more time, the area in Lincoln around the college football stadium has many small shops, restaurants, and is pretty cool to visit. Also, in Lincoln is the American Museum of Speed, which was a must stop for me when we visited. Anyways, safe travels and have a blast! @ILMgolfnut glad you made it home and all turned out well, now get some rest to recuperate and back on your normal time schedule. For me today, plans are to do more things around here before we head out on Friday. Have a great day, hope something fun and enjoyable is in your plans. jbern, ejgaudette, sirchunksalot and 11 others 13 1 Quote Driver & Fairway: Titleist GT2 8 degree - Ventus TR Red & TSR3 15 - Hzrdus Black Gen 4 Hybrid: TSR2 21 degree - Hzrdus Black Gen 4 Irons: Titleist T200 3G (4) & T150 - (5-G) - Modus 105 Wedges: Vokey SM9 54, and 58 Putter: Cameron Phantom X 5 Ball: Pro V1 & Maxfli Tour Link to Motocaddy M7 w/Remote Trolley & Bag Review
Popular Post GolfSpy_KFT
Good morning spies and happy Tuesday. Short break in a busy morning so jumping on to wish everyone well today! Have league play tonight and hoping to see some momentum from my solid play on Saturday carry over to today. Ball striking with irons was as good as it's ever been, but I was getting a little too fade biased with the driver. Going to do a couple fundamental drills on the range before league to start working back towards a more controlled flight and then remember my mental cues before swinging to make sure I keep turning through the swing and not extending and throwing the club at the ball leading to that fade/slice. Popular Post Rygolf32
2 hours ago, Preeway said: Good morning everyone. I shot 73 back in April so we will see if I can repeat the feat. It’s a Northern wind which will help a couple of the harder holes play easier than normal. In about 48 hours I’ll be picking up @cksurfdudeat the airport. Two more days! Have a great time guys, I'll be there in spirit!!! Next year I'll be there for sure, new knee and all! cksurfdude, sirchunksalot, jbern and 7 others 9 1 Quote Driver: Ping G425LST Fujikura Ventus Blue 6X shaft Fairway Wood: Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 (yep, OG 1999 all original) Irons: Ping i525 irons - Ping AWT 2.0 Xstiff Wedges: Titleist Vokey 52/56/60 SM9 (12deg/D grind) Putter: Ping Tyne 4 putter Bag: Titleist Hybrid 5 Ball: Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash
Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Good afternoon Spies! No rest for the weary. Had to get up at 0630 to make an early optometrist appointment. She cleared up why I've been having trouble following my shots in flight and/or driving at night: I'm developing cataracts. She said eventually I will need surgery but I'm not there yet. Glasses prescription changed so I'll be ordering two pairs: one for daily use and one for the golf course. Then honey-dos for GF and then straight back to work, calling a subject with a critical lab report and working on three different training sessions I was assigned in the last 13 days. One of which is still not completed. Speaking of golf specific glasses I've looked at two or three manufacturers but wondered if any Spies have recommendations. sirchunksalot, William P, Northern Monkey and 11 others 14 Quote Obsessed with chasing the dimpled orb. Popular Post buckpillar
So, my work day ended without any issues( chatted with @Rob Person about 530ish this morning- thanks for making the time pass), got and was laying down and the wife comes in and says GET YOUR SHOES ON... thinking something bad.. I was right .. we lost all of our meat in the freezer out in the shed, it was like an oven in side, stunk and then emptying it .. oh man... respirator needed. So that's how my wonderful day is going, No golf now tomorrow with thunderstorms with chance of rain from Tee time at 60% then throughout the round only goes up... We can catch a break. Only good thing is that after all the headaches today I'm going to do the unboxing of the ExPutt simulator that arrived yesterday before I went to work. Current 95* with a heat index of 106* I don't mind the heat but come on.. help out the golfers! MyGolfSpy Nation - HITTEM Straight!
