Popular Post ejgaudette
Good morning all! Back from out kids birthday trip after some fun, skiing, skating, and swimming at the indoor pool. It was a great time and the kids seem to have had a blast. Was still off work yesterday so my son and I got our hair cut and then went for bike ridding where our middle child rocked it and moved up to the pedal bike! I will give a shout out balance bikes, our first two have used them and moving to a pedal bike for both has been very smooth. One odd day of work work today to get a few things done and then dive into another weekend with not much going on, but I am sure we will find something fun to do. Popular Post IndyBonzo
Good morning, Spies! I have a busy day ahead of juggling work balls this morning, then shuttling the college kids to the airport, oil changes, car cleanouts (vacuuming sand - ack), etc. It will be good, productive day, if I have any control at all. I think my golf brain, body, and swing need a few days respite anyway. Too much range time can be counter-productive in my case. The mods are doing a fantastic job here with all the testing opportunities and whatnot. Thank you. Popular Post ParFore74x
Good morning from Las Vegas where I must have brought the Iowa weather with me. Highs in the 50s with rain today are expected for our first soccer game off the tournament. At least it’s conditions that we are used to playing in. The time zone change is definitely messing with me. Woke up at 3:45 (5:45 at home) and am struggling to go back to sleep so here I am on the forum. Popular Post Cfhandyman
Good morning to all and happy Friday. Enjoying my morning coffee catching up on the various threads. An exciting start to the Players. When you play TPC Sawgrass and are totally pranked on the 17th. See link below. About 2.5 weeks before the Players. I didn’t even know it was on film until my friend from TXG sent me the link, with the words, you’re famous. Oh god, what did I do. I’m the guy in the blue and black shirt. And, oh yeah, from the tee this is a very intimidating hole. Fortunately, I parred the hole, although the ball almost rolled off the back. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend playing TPC Sawgrass. Worth every penny. An awesome experience. Hopefully the links below work. Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Friday MGS friends, make it your own… Crawled home to the her highness and her “ Dark Realm “ .. Did not have to face the expected fanatical female outrage. The boss bride just asked if I had a good time and that she had made her favorite thing for supper…” reservations “. After a successful and very surprising pleasant dinner out returned home and prepared for bed. Told the bride that I needed to make sure the alarm was set early for the gym… Then WHAM!!!… The Payback Princess informed me that that would not be necessary. That I had been volunteered to help set up the stations for this weekends charity walk.. So, NO golf today, will instead do the entire 10K course as stoop labor. Will end this with a little information and a question…Is there anywhere else besides Texas that is having a proliferation of these stores???? Again may this Friday start a weekend of freedom and fun for you and yours. ZJeb67, Kenny B, sirchunksalot and 15 others 11 6

Popular Post jbern
Good morning! It was an eventful night last night because my oldest (6yo) let me pull out one of her very loose front teeth with a pliers. It came out instantly and she was SO excited to be "brave" and the hopeful visit from the tooth fairy! Today won't be quite as exciting as it's just a work all day kind of day. Hopefully I can get a little chipping or putting practice in around the house, but with a vacation to Branson, MO coming up in about a week, I'm sure I'll get scolded if I'm doing anything with my spare time other than getting ready to get going for that. Have a good day everyone! @ParFore74x - Cool photos of the Hoover Dam! That place is quite the engineering marvel. I can't believe I haven't made a trip out there to see it considering I work with boat loads of small dams here in Michigan. Anyway, looks like you're having fun and enjoy your time in LV! @Cfhandyman - "Well that's not gonna cut it!" I cannot even imagine what I would do in that situation. I remember watching that video on Youtube as soon as it came out on Skratch TVs channel. "Damn that was good!" Two epic quotes from you. Not to mention; awesome that you got to play TPC Sawgrass! Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Get well soon @Peaksy68! Sounds like you were in very good hands. @Cfhandyman nice prank. @Dead Solid Bogey they're everywhere. In many cases they're what passes for the local supermarket in what is referred to as a "food desert." I've spent enough time in my local DGs (GF loves them) to determine they have a very few items on the dollar list and the rest of their stuff is no cheaper than anywhere else, and sometimes more expensive. But they have cheap wine and a couple of other things GF wants, so she keeps sending me back there. As I was getting ready for bed last night in my hotel room in Charlotte, I realized my room was rather toasty. Went looking for the thermostat; there wasn't one, just the control on the unit under the window. Then I realized it didn't matter what I did to the controls under the window, the room was not cooling off. So at 11:30 I called the front desk and got moved to the room across the hall, which was about 10 degrees cooler. Seeing one study patient today in Charlotte, then drive 4+ hours home. Another fun day in research land. And I leave Sunday afternoon to do it all over again. Did manage to watch some Players golf yesterday, which is what I was doing instead of joining the conference call, which I forgot about. Popular Post Preeway
Good morning everyone. Little chilly this morning but should be better by the time I tee off at 10:45. Gonna see if I can go sub-70 two rounds in a row. Ah, who am I kidding. I’m really going out hoping not to get beat by my son while embarrassing myself with round in the 80s. His game is coming along nicely and I’m torn between wanting to keep beating him and making him earn that first victory over me or take it easy and give him a chance at getting his first W. My grandpa never let me win when I was a kid and I remember how good it felt the first time I beat him. He better be ready to go low because I feel like I have another low round in me today. Popular Post Byrnzee
Good morning spies! Weather is much colder in Chicago today, but at least no rain in the forecast. This weekend is the St. Paddy's celebration in Chicago, which is always a good time. The river gets dyed green, drinks are flowing, live music and plenty of craic! Going to be watching a lot of The Players this weekend. Should be a good test as the greens get quick and the wind picks up. In other exciting news, I just put in an order for a brand new set of Taylormade MG4 wedges. I'm extremely overdue for an upgrade and I'm thankful to MGS for opening my eyes to the other great wedges out there besides Vokeys! I hope everyone has a great day and a great weekend celebrating St. Paddy's. Slainté to all! Popular Post Michael.Sandoval33
Good morning and the best of Friday's to you spies! Up early, you know reading some threads, generally relaxing. When the Fiancé wakes up with a helluva cold on her. Well, all hands on deck! (Besides my range/practice time this evening at Heartwell GC and maybe play the small 18 to work on my wedges. Yesterday they were atrocious... But no telling ) Definitely some coffee needed ASAP. Other than that, just have to finish up a discussion paper for class while watching the Players. Hope everyone has a great day and weekend! Now go chase some birds around with a ball! Popular Post EnderinAZ
Good morning spies! Raining right now in Mesa and looks to be that way off an on all day. Not sure if golf is going to happen or not as it is definitely going to be raining at our tee off time. Women are having their championship today on the big course so we have been moved to the par 62 and I am running the game today. 1 par 5, 6 par 4 and the rest par 3. If we play 2 man teams it will be score both all the way around. 3 man teams will be score 2 out of 3 all the way around. 4 man teams will be score 1 on the par 3s and 4 on all the rest. I don't think golf will happen though...
