Welcome neighbor!!  If you are in the area visiting, give me a shout.  Used to play Moses Pointe GC years ago and the 9-hole course in Othello.  My wife’s best friend's family owned Paradise Farms and their house was on the golf course.  Her dad put on a BBQ and golf tournament on July 4th every year and never won it until we played on his team!!

Maybe we can play somewhere or meet for a drink or food.  The Brunswick Bar and Grill in Othello used to be pretty good with prime rib on Fr-Sat.

My sister in law's parents used to run Warden golf club. I live in Wyoming but if I ever get back to WA I'll give you a shout.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

Good morning Spies!

Getting some work done this morning at home and packing. Hitting the road this afternoon heading to Burlington for work (if you hadn't seen my previous posts, I sound like a broken record). That's all from me, wishing everyone a great day!

Congratulations on the new addition @GolfSpy MPR !!

Some of my favorite motorcycle day trips were up and down rt 100, 17, 118 from Vernon all the way to the CaN border. Beautiful territory for sure

Good morning to all on a beautiful sunny and warm day from the greater Toronto area. So maybe the groundhog didn’t see his shadow after all. The draw has been set for March MGS cup madness. Which team will win and earn extra bragging rights.

There are some strong teams here. Personally, after watching them all season, I like @Javs/ @CFreddie as well as @GolfSpy_BEN / @Preeway and @Randall Robbins / @IndyBonzo  My sleeper picks @Golf2Much / @GolfSpy_APH or @Josh Parker / @EasyPutter  If this was curling, it would be no contest as @GolfSpy_APH would clean the house and leave it on the button every time. So who are you picking. Check out the MGS Virtual tour thread. Have a great day.

Our team is going to ride @CFreddie like a race horse to victory!

Play like a champion today!

Good morning and happy Second Monday, Spies!

It's another beautiful day here in Central TN. Lovely 55* degrees at the moment, going for a high of 61. Sadly, rain coming this afternoon. Great for watering the lawn, courses, and filling up the lakes. Not so much for running errands or anything to be done outside.

Work started on the laundry room yesterday, taking down the various trim off half of the walls so far. Turns out it's all cheap pressed board crap, which is sad for a house of this value. What's worse is that the area of the wall below the high trim is all pressed board as well and not drywall. We're going to leave it and fill the pathetic gap the installers left when they built the house, but it's just sad to see this low quality if work in a house like this. You can see the before (left) and after (right) of the trim in the below picture. We still have no clue why someone would spend the money to have something like this done in the laundry room. Plus there's beadboard and crown molding in the garage too. 🤷‍♂️

The cabinets and shelf unit will all come out and we're going to put in all new wall/base/utility cabinets on the right and left walls, plus a small bench on the wall to the right in the picture. So we have a bit of work ahead of us still, but dad and I will get it done in a timely manner.

Everyone have a wonderful Second Monday!

Unfortunately that's the norm now. It's frustrating.

Good morning everyone!

I'm just pulling into work on this beautiful Tuesday trying to get motivated for the day. I played yesterday and got home a bit late so I'm a little tired.

It was a fun round and I was playing good until the last hole. It's crazy how one bad decision can ruin a hole.

I hope you all have a good day!

It is really difficult to stay "present" for the whole round, I agree... good that 17 holes were positive...

@Cfhandyman thanks for the sleeper pick designation.  I was born, raised and had my career in Rochester, New York.  One of the guys who I worked with was active in the Rochester Curling Club.  One Friday, he sponsored a curling night for all of our work friends.  For those who've never done it, it's harder than it looks!

Golf-related note on curling: Most of the curling stones used worldwide are made of granite quarried on the Ailsa Craig in Scotland -- the same island that gave its name to the former Open Championship course at Turnberry.

17C and sunny here in Ottawa... drove by my local course and they are hard at work getting it ready for opening weekend. My local driving range is still under a layer of snow, but the warm weather forecast into the weekend should help.  There's hope we might be golfing in April!!!!

Interesting fact!  I wasn't too far from there about 18 months ago when we visited Edinburgh and then up to St. Andrews.  We toured the Old Course just before The Open.  Obviously, we couldn't play it.  We could have played the New Course, but after walking 24,000 steps in Edinburgh, 36 holes at Gulane and another 24,000 steps in Edinburgh, my feet were killing me!

My grandmother was from Scotland's Orkney Islands waaaaay up north.  It's a small world!

Morning all! The course is back open today but I actually have a crazy busy day today with meetings all the way though until late this evening (8:00pm ish) so it looks like there will be no golf for me today aside from maybe hitting some balls on the range between meetings if there is time. My goal for the year was 150 rounds of golf played and as of this morning I’m at 27 which puts me basically on pace for 150. And that is with January being basically a lost month (or 3 weeks) due to freezing temperatures and snow/sleet!
