Good Friday Morning Spies! Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes for the spousal unit and I! We are blessed! The spousal unit has surgery on the 21st and is looking at a positive outcome. Doctors are very positive so she’s not stressed. I’m stressed because she’s my spousal unit and she’s the most important person to me. But I don’t show it. At least I think I don’t. I try to take all the pressure off her so she has a good mindset. So I make all the appointments and fight with insurance. Anyway, thank you all again! Today I have a VGA event in Colorado.

Friday morning is upon us my fellow spies. This is my latest D-Day on the Medico front. Doubleheader today… First off this morning is the review, status, and analysis for the path going forward on the nutrient absorption,  blood, and esophagus/throat issues. This afternoon it is on to the orthopedic nerve specialist to get the word on IF or at the very least HOW I possibly can off the golf IR list. 
  I would be horribly remiss if I didn’t thank all those offering support, prayers, and general goodwill for my continuing Medical Novella. That said; my issues certainly pale when compared to what some of our fellow forum  friends or their spouses are going through. 
   While it is well established that I am deservedly so… the  forum’s senior citizen smart /arse, jerk  I will leave this here as I let myself out… 

My fellow spies, may this day be one of your control and the harbinger of a great weekend.

to @StrokerAce, @Erin B & @Dead Solid Bogey, absolutely sick to my stomach reading about what you are dealing with on the health front. Hoping for nothing but reassuring news and will be keeping you and your families in my thoughts and prayers. Having been in similar situations of the not knowing and angst that comes with waiting for results, I feel for you guys. 

While it only goes so far, know that you've got a network of people here to lean on for support if you so choose to or want to utilize it.

One more bit of news this morning in the email box. My job requires a lot of travel (thus my current visit to the St. Louis 'burbs) but it also requires me to have licenses in the states I visit. Found out today that I got my 24th state license in February, but South Carolina neglected to inform me or the person who was assigned to work on my application. So I'm almost halfway through the list. Fortunately my employer pays all of those costs; 24 licenses would be a bear to maintain and renew.

I feel like I'm turning into a cranky old man at age 32. My course has a free Jr program for anyone under the age of 18. Small rural course in NS. But every evening since opening its become harder and harder to get a quick nine in as these kids wont let people through. So its alot of hit and wait. Just my quick rant for the day.

Planning to get some iron practice in at lunch, league play irons were not so hot this week. I was able to get to the practice green last night to get in some more baseline data for the TM Spider: unlike @Cfhandyman who got good news via phone that his DF3 was arriving today, mine is still scheduled for Monday. The only good thing about that is, it gives me more time with the Spider to build more data. (and practice!) The weekend here looks like a washout, like @cksurfdude, but I'm going to hold out hope that I can keep and get the round in Sunday. 

The Much Better Half is a teacher, and today is "spirit day". She left the house dressed in an orange tutu, orange and white leggings, orange sneakers and a white, orange and black shirt. I have to say, she was adorable! Definitely gave me an ear to ear grin!

I hope everyone has a great day, positive thoughts and wishes headed to all of you and hope that golf figures into your plans today as well! Hit 'em straight MGS Nation!

No golf this weekend,  but hoping I can convince the lady boss to make a pit stop on our road trip to Mobile today in at least one golf store.

Like alot of other colleges, it's graduation weekend.  My youngest is graduating and we are excited for him!  He gets married in 2 weeks after this as well, and then moves to Tennessee to start his new adventures in life!

Hope everyone has something golf related happening this weekend, so those of us who aren't can live vicariously through you!

Good morning! I had a nice workout this morning and now I've got a coffee in hand and am ready for a day of reviewing documents for work. It's not very fun, but I usually learn quite a bit whenever reviews like this come up. On the golfing front, I got the Exputt putting simulator set up last night and that thing is going to be SO... MUCH... FUN! I hit 60 putts in the practice mode before I knew it! I could spend hours using it. Maybe this evening I will!

@ILMgolfnut - Congrats on getting into the tournaments at Royal Dornoch! If I ever plan a trip to Scotland (no plans to, just a bucket list thing at this point), I'm definitely messaging you and @CFreddie for advice!

Thank you both! This is a great site and supporting cast! Much appreciated! I was telling the spousal unit about all the blessings and well wishes this morning and she was glowing! I believe in positivity when dealing with these type of things in life. The body reacts better with positivity in my opinion. And our community has a lot of positive energy! Good morning Spies and happy Friday!

First trip to the office yesterday was a success. Was nice to see everyone in person and hear from our executives on the strategy for the company going forward. Had a very fun happy hour with an open bar afterwards. Luckily woke up this morning feeling just fine (not always the case after such events).

I got home last night to find a golf club shaped box had arrived. My buddy was hooking me up with a new driver shaft and a new 2-iron. To my surprise, he included some other goodies as well. Will post in the CHA thread shortly!

Hoping for a relatively easy day and a fast forward to the weekend. Golf on the agenda tomorrow morning and weather is looking very solid. 

@StrokerAce @Erin B @Dead Solid Bogey you are all in my thoughts as you battle these health issues. You have a large community behind you rooting for you and your families to hear some good news soon.

The weekend is upon us and with it some great weather in SW Ohio. Something golf related will have to take place! lol

Next week I am driving to State College PA for work. While there I have a tee time with a co-worker at the Penn State white course. Looking forward to that and also stopping by to see my Mom on the way back home.

Just have to say that its awesome to see how this community sends encouragement to all. Thoughts and prayers go out to anyone having a tough go of it.

Good morning spies! Well, the doc gave me a conditional release from golf purgatory yesterday. Said my body would be the final arbiter, and I thought "yeah, no sh**".  This means I can start my workouts again as well. @ILMgolfnut you should look into exercise band sets. First you can put them in a small duffle and use them in your room for a full workout. Second they are safer and less likely to injure while giving a great workout.  Dumbbells can fall off to the side while doing chest presses and injure shoulders, wrists, and elbows if you are laying on a bench.  Which also allows you to cheat by over arching your back to push up the weights. 

Band sets and a door anchor allow you to stand (removing the cheat) for chest press and the bands pull back the same exact way they go out.  https://bodylastics.com/  are the sets I use and I follow the Chiseled workouts. 

Anyway, I am running the Wild Bunch game today (stableford scoring) and will hit the range for a small bucket just as soon as they are off. I figure I will swing mostly the LagShot clubs as they, for me, do a fine job of tuning my swing.

I have a good set of bands, recommended by Mike at Fit For Golf, which include a door anchor, and used them for my first and third sets last night, but the FFG protocol specifies using both bands and dumbbells. I can and have made do if one or the other was not available, but the instructions are to use both. I will also incorporate GF's home gym when I can; it includes a chest press and cables to do some of the stuff that are specified for bands.

Good morning all! I left work early to play a new course with my husband. It’s cloudy with a high of 88. Is there anything better than neglecting your professional responsibilities to golf? My goal today is to score better than my last game by hitting as many fairways as possible.

Thank you all again for the Birthday, and belated birthday wishes!

No major plans for the weekend, we were thinking of maybe driving out to Vegas and staying a day, but decided to just stay home and take care of some things around the place.

Still keeping @StrokerAce @Erin B & @Dead Solid Bogey in my positive thoughts circle as the days go on. You guys rock and I know we are all hoping to hear good news from you soon.

OK, it's not morning, but it will be in a few hours, so... Good Morning everyone!!  Hope your Friday went well and have great plans for the weekend.  

I haven't been on much the last couple of days; the Forum testing requires more time than most people wanting to do testing realize!!  The Autoflex Dream 7 driver shaft arrived and I've installed it in my Callaway Epic Max head.  However, my wife and I are headed to Spokane after our 7:15am round of golf in the morning, and I won't get to use it again until Monday.  We are attending an induction ceremony for my sister-in-law's golf team into her high school Hall of Fame.  My wife wanted to be there even though it will be posthumously for her sister.  Sadly, she passed away 5 years ago.

Well good week at the gym. 4 sessions this week and golf today. It was monthly medal stroke from the tips. Well had a net 64 my best round ever in stroke. I played to 7 over in the wet. Fingers crossed I can win.

Celebrating my sister-in-law’s 60th today, so some family’s coming by for a brunch. I’m currently testing one of my wife’s homemade rolls.

I’m trying to convince her that they are too terrible to serve to our guests, but that I’m fine to eat them on my own later.

Morning all. It’s a beautiful sunny, warm start to the day here with blue skies and not a cloud in sight. A perfect day for golf which can mean only one thing - the boss has decided we are going to the shopping mall so she can look for holiday clothes.

We could be out enjoying the very rare lovely weather but oh no, we have to spend it inside looking in every shop only for her to probably buy the item she saw in the first shop she went in

Oh well such is life. At least I’ve got another 2 days off after today so fingers crossed the weather holds and I can get some golf in
