How many different grips are on your clubs?

I have GP CP2 pro midsize on everything but my putter. These hold up very well for me.  I don’t think I would consider anything else.

... I would highly recommend wrapping your fingers around a Lamkin ST Hybrid +2 grip and see what you think. The best thing I can say about them is I no longer even notice them. I play without glove and need a solid connection with no slipping so I had to wipe down my Tour Velvet, REM3's and UTx with a towel almost every swing to keep the grip tacky or they slipped and the ST Hybrids don't need to be wiped down during a round at all. I don't have to tell you about marketing but the Fingerprint Technology/Genesis Material is the real deal. Not tacky but no slipping. Worth a look.

I have heard good things about the ST hybrid grips from multiple people now. I might have to give them a go myself for my next regrip.
I currently have 4 different grips. Woods have stock PXG midsize. Irons (5-AW) have GP tour velvet cord. Wedges have Lamkin crossline. Putter has a stock Winn grip. All are in need of replacement very soon.

I tend to get attached to uniformity (Kind of).

I found a grip from NO1 Grips and fell in love with its feel it's on all my clubs but colors vary because they can haha.

My long clubs D,3W,2H,2I all rock white 50 PRO series grips

Irons I have not had a chance to regrip nor do I want to i am in the market for new ones

Wedges 52,56,60 All 50 series (not the pro)one in navy to go with the US Open theme and two in army green to go with the Jurassic Park theme  (They are custom wedges from a good buddy of mine)

My bread and butter putter rocks the white P90 Contoured Pistol series and it's truly a game-changer in my life.

so highly recommend from me.

Man, I have a ton of grips.

I recently tried the Amazon cheapo Kingrasp grip on a driver build, based on a MobileClubmaker review video, and I really like it!  I tend to like those MCC-type grips on my woods.  The Kingrasp can be had at a great price, and it seems to be holding up very well with equal (or better) performance, which suits my driver shaft tinkering habit.  I can tell no difference when compared to name brand models, which is what I was looking for.

For irons, I am slowly moving exclusively to the Iomic Mid Evolution on everything.  These are the opposite of budget grips, but they are just perfect to me.  Great feedback, firm, and tacky enough without being grabby (if that makes any sense).  Same feedback as firm corded grips without the quick wear, too.

Great thread.  Interesting perspectives here.

Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there.

I have just regripped all my clubs to have the same grip black and red midsized golf pride grips and 2.5 super stroke on my putter.

Before this I had 5-PW in midsized and basic grips on my 3 vokeys and Callaways on my driver wood and hybrid.

Hated that none of the grips had alignment on as well.

Aside from my putter (traxion tour 2.0) they all have the same grip. I use MCC midsize +4 align. Even my wedges, where I thought it might feel weird with the face flipped open, I still like the align. Helps me know where the face is.

I like the GP tour wraps and am migrating back to them from mcc4's.  Only the driver, 3w and 50* are different now.  Driver & 3 w are chamois jumbos i found in my dads garage stash.  They have some life in them yet to last thru this season.  The 50* came with a mcc alignment that feels pretty good so i didnt bother to swap it yet.

I enjoyed reading the similar thread about different shaft models. Was wondering about people's habits with grips?

Mismatched? Play what's on the thing? I probably have one of the stranger equipment setups in this regard I'm guessing. I've always gone by feel. If I hate the feel I change it, when I buy a used club with a grip that feels good in my hand I play it that way for seasons and seasons.

The result is I have 6 different grips (7 if you count my putter) to go with my 8 different shafts.

Not just models are different, but I have variety in sizes and textures now since my 52° came with a midsize wrap I really like for wedges and put the same on my 48° and 56°.

1. Superstroke Traxion tour 2.0 on putter

2. Iomic X evolution 2.3 on driver

3. Lamkin Utx standard on 3w

4. No1 pro 50 black standard on 5UT

5. Lamkin crossline standard on 6i-PW

6.        "          "     360 standard on 4h

7. Golf Pride CP2 wrap mid on AW, 52°+56°

Wow, who’d have thought?

As someone who does grips all day at work, I thought I’d seen/heard a lot, but many of these replies are new to me.

For what it’s worth, when asked for recommendations, to my mind it’s really simple (putter excepted of course).   Make all your grips the same so that if you closed your eyes and picked a club, no matter what it is they all feel the same. To me that takes out a variable and adds to confidence.

Strange is just a different point of view

I'm getting slightly bigger as I get older.
My last irons were supplied with MCC+4 Align Standard
Some odd added clubs are +1 tape, and that is where I am standardising with regrips.

At my recent driver fitting, though, we wanted to keep my hands as quiet and torque free as possible, so rather than going +2, we decided to skip straight to MCC+4 Midsize Align, rather than Standard +2

May drop the align on my wedges next time, though.

Putter - still with the 2021 Odyssey Superstroke.  It feels perfect, so why change it?  Before that, an Anser 3, with a 2Thumbs 43 mm, put on sideways - ie the flat to my left wrist.  But that's my backup.

Short answer... currently 4, including putter. I almost always change to my preferred grip pretty quickly after getting my hands on a new club. I mostly use Golf Pride MCC -- in my current bag, have those on 3-LW and the driver. That has been my go-to grip since college, and I haven't convinced myself to make a change on the full set -- the one time I tried was with SuperStroke Traxion Tour in 2019, and hated them... I have bounced between models of MCC though -- used the Plus4 for a couple years, and always switch up the colors to something fresh and/or limited (usually watch their stock around majors and pick up the limited colors). That said, I do like to experiment with new things, so...

On the 1-iron, decided to try a Golf Pride CPX, and love it. Much softer, which I wasn't sure about when looking into it, but it feels very nice. I'm actually debating trying them on the irons, just haven't taken the plunge yet.

The 3W still has the stock Z-grip, but only until I make a final decision on loft settings, because TM adjustable hosels actually turn the shaft-- I'll most likely be swapping it out in the next week or two, and might pick something that's not MCC...but we'll see.

Putter is currently a Garsen -- for a normal putter, might never turn back.

Others I've tried or am planning to try:

When I won some clubs in the past, I've tried a few others just because there was no upcharge, and I could easily swap them out myself if I decided against them. So, on wedges, I've tried: NO1 50 Series was just OK; Iomic Sticky was very nice (similar feel to CPX, maybe better), but seems like it wore down reasonably quickly.

Maybe my favorite grip of all time is one that I just can't justify the cost for a full set (only tried it on a wood), and question whether I'd continue to like it -- the GripMaster Kangaroo. Such a nice feel, and tons of traction on it. I still have one of these in the stockpile, so maybe it'll go on the 3W this year.

And...last, a new putter that I recently acquired and might go in the bag for at least a few rounds: Caliber Golf's grip is basically a hockey stick shaft, which sounds gimmicky, but so far on the basement putting green, it feels awesome. They have some kind of connection with Jerry Kelly, but looks like he may not be using it on Tour (based on recent vids).

Driver: :taylormade-small: Stealth Plus 8* (adjusted to 8.75*), Mitsubishi Diamana ZF 70 X Flex (New toy incoming!)

Fairway: :taylormade-small: Stealth2 Plus, 15* (adjusted to 14.25*) w/ Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 7X

Irons:  :titleist-small: U505 1 Iron (16*), T200 "Utility Build" 3 and 4 irons, all with Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 95 X Flex, :titleist-small: T100S 5-9 with Nippon Pro Modus 120 X Flex (2021 MGS Test). These things are monsters.

Wedges:  :vokey-small: SM9 46.10, 54.12, and 58.08, all with custom etchings & KBS Tour Masters-themed shafts, X-flex (CHA Post)

Putter: Total headcase and Putter Ho. Down to two main options in the rotation (one mallet, one blade), but have 4-5 by the basement putting green that might make it in the bag at some point this year... i currently have 4 different grips and as I am writing this it makes me wonder why?

i have iomic orange on my 3 wood and 7 wood

GP compound red/blue on my driver

GP Z-Grip Cord on my 50 degree wedge

GP tour velvet 360 on the rest

funny part to me is the grips are all pretty new - just me trying different stuff I guess

Srixon irons. Paradym driver. Vokey wedges. Works for me!

Recently retired the Ping driver G30 and now have a Titleist TSR3 driver with the stock Golf Pride 360 grip.  As you can see, I have used many of the MMC team colors; the 5 and 6 iron is for the Red Wings because they have, count em, 11 Stanley Cup victories, the orange and blue grips on the 9 iron and PW is for the Detroit Tigers - 9 innings and Pitching Wedge (get it!?), 8 iron is green and white for Eastern Michigan University, and I have a few clubs with Maize (Yellow) and Blue for Michigan. Also, the 4 and 7 are Blue and White for the Detroit Lions, nd a couple of irons are blue and red for the Detroit Pistons. I have not mixed up the 9 and the 6 since making them different color grips (apparently the marking on the sole of my Mizuno MP20-MMC irons isn't enough!!

On a couple of my other putters I use Ping Cadence TR65  putter and Nike BC 101 not seen are Winn 2020 VSN Medalist Putter Grip, both regular and midsize which is my favorite - still getting used to the Super Stroke - while I like the oversized grip and Red Wings graphics, it is somewhat of a challenge getting it out of my Ping cart bag.

I have four. JumboMAX TOUR Series on my driver, 3 wood 5 wood and sand wedge: Golf Pride CP2 Jumbo wrap on my Mizuno irons 5-PW, 50 54 degree Vokey wedges; Golf Pride cord on my Vokey 58 degree (bought used and have not got around to changing it); JumboMax ST/1.3 on my putter. Going to play the CP2’s through September and will then probably switch the irons over to JumboMax Wrap Series. Grips for me are a head game. Playing poorly, switch the grips. Playing really poorly change the shafts; playing really, really poorly change the clubs……repeat

All my clubs (except for my putter) have the same grip, Lamkin midsize crossline grip. I put those on after I purchased my clubs as the original grip was too thin.

The grip is the only part of the club you touch, when I was fitting I was always amazed by how little people consider grips as part of the performance of the club.

I have the same grips from Driver to Sand Wedge (cords) Lob Wedge is standard tour velvet I wipe down my grips after every round and replace about yearly.

2 - Lamkin Sonar Wrap Midsize on everything but putter. Superstroke on putter.

I really like how the Lankin grips stay tacky. My driver and wedges came with Golf Pride tour velvet. They split at the bottom. It seems there was no tape for the last couple of inches. Also they lost any tackyness within a few weeks. I changed from Sonar+ to Sonar+wrap. The new wrap grips do not have the alignment markings that the Sonar+ had. I am surprised that I like not having them.
