It was a fivesome, so an extra body to get the tie. All of us are in the 6 to 10 handicap range, so we're close enough that we don't give strokes. Lots of pars. Three times there was a tie with birdies. Two holes tied with bogies. The final hole was a par 5. All of use had par putts inside 5 feet, but mine was the shortest by far. The first four putts were a testament to, "He can't putt under pressure!"

Amazing how a little money on the line changes the ENTIRE read of a putt!  haha.  Well nicely done bring home the bank SM!  Sounds like a great group to play with.

Took the morning off work to get a round in while the weather was good - will have to work a half-day on Saturday, but worth it for sure. Felt pretty good out of the gate (+2 through 4) but then totally collapsed and went a combined +9 over the next 4 holes. Finished out the last 10 holes only going 3 over par though, for an 86. Definitely some things to clean up, but feeling good overall!

Horrible round!!  Bright sunny day and first round at my course this year wearing shorts, but damn it was cold and windy.  It helped that I walked today, but pace was slow and I stood around a lot.  The only good thing about my round was that my white legs got some sunshine.

This is my second season back into the game after a 15+ year hiatus where I played maybe twice a year, sometime none at all, so I thought this looked great, I ran a similar thing in The Grint last year and it was fun although I didn't come close to winning anything. Maybe I can come closer this time.

Loved the feel of my new driver (Callaway Epic Max Mens with Senior flex shaft).  Hitting a 170 yard drive on 15 after clipping some branches was awesome!!

Had a better day today than yesterday.  Temps were about the same... about 50º, but the wind was down a little; made it feel warmer.  High in the late afternoon is 65º.  Hit 10/13 fairways and 12/18 greens.  Wish the greens were decent enough to make good putts; any putt made over 4 feet is mostly luck on how the ball navigates the punch marks... have to be aggressive!  I did lay up with my 3W on the drivable par 4 #14 and stuck my 60º for my only birdie.  Three doubles back-to-back-to-back on 9, 10 and 11 killed a pretty good round.

Windy and cold today.  90 degrees last Saturday and 50 degrees this morning at tee time.  Can’t wait for the weather to make up its mind.  Shot 38 on the front and 44 on the back.  Kind of a Jeckyl and Hyde round.  26 putts and 4 up and downs for par.  1 natural birdie but not on a hole I stroke on.  4 double bogeys on the back while going bogey, double double to end the round was a disappointment.

Though not my best scoring day, I played very consistent.    

No miraculous chip ins today and my 26 putts.  I had 3 two putts from over 50 ft (which I will take).  The four up and downs are typical for me when I shooting in the mid to low 80's.  The two greens in regulation were on two par threes.

Today I finally got the opportunity to put my new Ping G430 Max driver in play.  There was no range time (mostly because we don't have a range here in Key West).  Overall, it was a decent first day on the job.   Due to mix up by my club fitter, the driver shaft was 3/4" shorter than standard.  Even with the shorter staff, I was averaging at least 5 yards longer drive than my previous G400 SFT and back up Callaway drivers and over 70% fairways hit.  It's a good start to what is hoped to be a long and beneficial relationship!

It never fails, when I’m out on the course I always default to “go for it”. Just gotta tone down the adrenaline a bit and see what happens.

I know we have some big hitters on this forum. I still have room to grow though. I’m ready.
