@Josh Parker Here are some photos of the three balls with about 250 strikes a piece on them now - also just so everyone is aware, the place that i am testing is a very nice chipping/pitching and full wedge shot place - very little bad areas to hit from 
I also have not started any sand testing yet 
I will say that the ball to me seems pretty durable - I mean a couple hundred shots and not very many marks on it - Also the ball that I have been using as a gamer did a have a couple tree marks on it but did not have any cuts to speak of - I lost that ball to the water (I was checking the water durability) - when I get a ful round with this second one I will get some more pics of that as well..

Yeah I did like the lower spin off the driver as well - one thing to note is that I have my driver set to 12 degrees of loft becasue I hit down or more neutral with it. I usually get about 20yds of run out it. On full swings I am about 250-260yds of cary and then the roll out 
Here is a pretty full swing - I am usually between the 105-108mph.

I’ve played my share of snow golfthe anual Hawaiian golf tournament get up north of two harbors Minnesota! Snow blow a green and drill a few 5 inch deep holes pick a tee box it can be across the lake and be a par 25 hole but we play 18 and everyone picks a hole in snake order! Three club and a putter only

Better you than me! I played winter golf in CT. But I took advantage of re-location when it came up 18 years ago and moved south. NC golf is year round. I’m freezing just looking at those pictures.

My name is Matt.  I am happily married going on 18 years.  I have three daughters, 16, 14, and 12.  Hence the handle, Girldad, their idea...

Golf has been part of my life for over 35 years.  I played in college at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC and we were fortunate enough to win the 2003 NCAA Division II National Championships in Crosswater, Oregon.  This led to me being inducted into the schools Hall of Fame in 2018.

This year we had our 20th anniversary meet up as we consisted of two Swedish players, one South African, and one from Argentina.  Also, I was fortunate enough to go to L.A. to see the U.S. Open.  While there we played Trump National.  This is shot from the back tee on 18, a 500+ yard par 4, that played into the wind.  Too much for a 42 year old office manager.

 

I currently reside in Northwest Arkansas, home of the Razorback!  I play as much as I can, but not as much as I would like.  I carry a scratch handicap and have played most of the high end, more popular, golf balls.  I mainly look for a deal, but if it comes to competition, the ProV1X is the go-to.  I do play the ProV1 as well but do notice a considerable spin difference on approach shots, especially with wedges in hand.  

UNBOXING/FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The ODIN's arrived in a white packing bag.  No damage, no issues.  The colors on the box are eye catching and honestly, I expected those colors to reflect on the ball, kind of in the same way as the VICE.  My daughter even said the same thing, that she thought they would have the colors on them too.

The ODIN feels the same as any other high end ball would feel in your hand.  The writing, ODIN and the number, are noticeably larger that usual.  That is not a bad thing.  Makes it stand out.  Also could make it easier to identify when playing with your buddies.

I am interested to see how the arrows on the side help with alignment.  I draw a line for putting alignment there, so I will definitely test this to see how it plays with my mindset and ease of use as the test goes on.

I will run these through the testing process.  I am heading east for Christmas and plan to get a few rounds in with my dad while there.  We will see how it goes and will take you along for the ride.  Stay tuned....

 

Excited to hear more! I believe there has been much discussion on a paint splatter ball in the future! But @Jordan ODIN Golfwould be better to ask! Or demand some splatter darts

Ok testers( @Javs I know you are gone so no worries on answering),  question for the week.   It’s the holiday season so something easy.  You have had the balls for about a week now and I’m sure have hit quite a few shots already.  So my question for this week(by all means take the whole week too if you wish to give a detailed answer), is this…

How does this ball react on the green with the wedge?  Break it down between  short chips, 1/2-3/4 swings, and full swings for our members that may be looking for a new ball next year. 

This will just be a quick input till I get back. Using a Vokey 54/12 D and Vokey 58/8 M for 100’s of shots around the practice greens and three full rounds (all under par). The ball was amazing. I was able to adjust to its action quickly. Found myself being about to hit all the required shots (flop, bump and run, one hop and stop). Great stopping power. Never had any excess spin or big run out. We all had shots from 110 to 95 into a stiff breeze.  I hit a three quarter AW Wedge right over the stick and stuck it. Saw the same kind of reaction on full wedges. This is a great ball!

Good Tuesday morning spies hope all well first let me tell y’all about my longest drives my gamer tp5 vs Odin x1         Tp5x 283 yds -Odin x1-293yds shortest tp5x -257-Odin x1-251 I’m very impress with odin x1 ball it’s a high ball flight n hits lots of fairways look at my pictures this 3 piece ball to me just as good as any ball on the market.                       Short game around the greens n 100-5 yards this ball is amazing look at the pictures here I like how it hits n release forward to the pin I don’t like a ball that stops to quick Odin won the battle on short shots my tp5 x got beat up so bad I finally chip it n over the bunker also spies it’s best to play a 3r 2 piece ball n cold weather anyway I have a vokey D grind 58 bent to 56 degrees 54 bent to 53 degrees close my gap on my irons if this ball this good n cool weather it’s way better n warm weather

@Cecil Williams @Girldad18 @Javs @fredsharky @LinksgolfFever how do you see the ball holding up so far, cover wise? I put a few into play the other day and they seemed to all hold up very well (caveat I didn’t hit any cart paths or trees for once so), curious if you are seeing the same?

For me, the ball is reacting more like the regular ProV1, so a little softer than the ProV1X.  More spin than the ProV1X, in my opinion.  Could be the time of year and the green consistencies and that we just had a deluge of rain, but it feels more like a ProV1 than the ProV1X so far.  The sound of the Odin X1 compared to the ProV1, ProV1X, Callaway ChromeSoft X, and the Taylormade TP5X, is comparable, to me, to the ProV1.  Not as much of a click but more dull.  Not a bad thing.

I haven't noticed much wear.  The thing that first stood out to me is it seems the ball gets dirtier, if that makes sense.  When your ball lands and you get the green grass color transfer to your ball, I noticed more of that on the Odin X1.  It comes off, so not a bad thing.  Not sure if that is a spin thing or a cover material thing or what?  Or the time of year and the softer conditions we are having right now.  Time will tell.

Three rounds and three practice sessions with the same ball and it still looked new!

@Lacassem I inserted some pics above after hitting three balls probably now about 250 times and there is some wear, but nothing that would make me think this is not a durable golf ball 
I have also hit a couple trees with one of the balls that I tried and check the water durablitly with so I do not have any good pics of that one, but it did not have any scratch marks on it, only the tree sap and bark color. I have not hit a cart path or anythig with it yet, but I am sure it will leave a mark.

My next big test for durability will be hitting out of the sand - I plan on 25-30 shots per ball and see what happens 

For me the ball has been performing really well so far - I cannot wait to get a few more rounds with it  

Also as @Girldad18 said the ball does appear to get a little more grass stains on it, but it is easily cleaned - I am sure it is becasue the winter grass is starting to set in along with the moisture that comes along with it - but does not hurt the flight or durability to me

Got some swings in with the 54* wedge and Paradym TD driver.  Used my gamer Chrome Soft X LS, the Titleist Test ball, and the Odin X1.  My swing isn’t in top form as I haven’t played in over 3 months but the Odin didn’t disappoint.

Yes sir on the cover part of ball I hit a few rocks n cart paths but this ball didn’t have any scars r anything it’s holding up as good as any ball would I played 36 holes with the same ball wash it off looks new Odin golf made a keeper I would play this ball the year round

Today I wanted to try and get some sand shots in and did it - no one was at the chipping/pitching green today - that rarely happens - maybe because it is only 55 degrees here in Fort Walton Beach..

So today my testing parameters were hitting 20 normal sand shots and 5 plugged sand shots. I did not clean the wedge for half the shots.

I was pleased as usual with this golf ball - it had the right amount of spin for normal sand shots, and rolled out well on the fried egg and plugged shots. Also had to dig down just a bit to get some wetter sand as well.

Again this ball appears to be very durable as it has very few more blemishes added to it. Still able to play the ball.This may be because the sand here is super fine, maybe someone else will see something different in their bunker testing.

These balls appear to be a a great product. Unfortunately I’ve gotten to where I prefer yellow with my terrible eyes, and I don’t see a yellow offering on their site.

I am impressed with the durability so far and I may have to give these a test run soon!
