Good evening Spies.

Not much happened here today, hung out at the pool and relaxed.

Making tee times for this week at 2 courses, more than likely @GolfSpy_KFT home course included.

Saw the moon over the trees and thought it was a cool picture.

Thanks to those in Nebraska for sharing the great pictures and recaps. Got to say that the matching shirts must have been planned well in advance, cool idea too!

Evening spies!  Been a hectic day since 0430. Drove 2 hours to Panama City Beach and met with the owner of Lomabrdi golf,  Paul Christiani. We went to Signal Hill to try and get some course time in, but mother nature said NOOOO at the last-minute!

It's a tight track for sure nestled between the beach and the hub of the town.

Then it was final packing for my motorcycle trip. Finished up some honey-do stuff, and about to get to bed as I leave at 0230.

I booked a tee time at Lake Junalooska  golf course for noon tomorrow too (in Waynesville, NC). Will be meeting up with a friend I haven't seen in awhile that moved about an hour away from there.

I hope everyone has a great week ahead of them! I will try to check in when possible!

Been mainly focused on school and getting some things ready for what may come in 9 months when my first 2 years is up. Was watching The Open all weekend, Xander crushed it on the back 9 today.

My wife's been going through our storage room/office and finally found some stuff that was mine. I threw away a lot of junk and compacted there storage containers down to one. 

I did find a lot of old photos and birthday/Christmas cards and spent time reminiscing on family and friends that are long gone now. 

Now comes the hard part and that's reorganizing the mess upstairs.

Soooo you all know I played in NE with @Preeway @cksurfdude and @BallsLeon. What a group!!! What you may know is I’m in some pain with the left elbow. Shot 87, 83, 83 and struggled to get off the tee. My irons were as they were today, and shot a 75 with punched greens. I bought a forearm strap and it helps but I think my longest drive was 270. Irons were hot again so I’m happy with that. Bottom line, elbows are important.

Dual workout day. First Rypstick (average of 91.6 mph, topped out at 94), then Fit For Golf. Also had GF shoot some video of one of my exercises to go with my FFG review here.

Also ordered a new pair of prescription golfing sunglasses after consulting with a sports optician. $600. But I have a pool of FSA money that I can only spend on vision and dental, and I'm not planning to have any new crowns or root canals, so might as well spend it on that. I'll also get some new glasses for daily wear at some point, unless I just decide to wear the golf glasses full time.

There's lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow, and medial epicondylitis, known as golfer's elbow. When I've had elbow issues, and they've been fairly common over the years, it's always been lateral epicondylitis. I don't play tennis, but the move to release the clubhead through impact seems to aggravate it. It really doesn't affect my play, but I notice it when I'm not playing. Like now, for instance. I was pretty sure six rounds in nine days in Scotland would flare it up, and it did.

The forearm strap helps with that. So does ice massage (freeze water in a paper cup and peel the cup back until you can rub the top of the ice on your elbow while protecting your fingers with the rest of the cup) and stretches where you bend that wrist forward as far as you can and hold it for a few seconds. And don't forget the ibuprofen or naproxen if your stomach/kidneys permit it.

I have noticed if I hit off mats much that mine flairs up.  I'm hoping, switching to graphite soon is going to make a huge difference.

Man it’s painful! Last year it was the right one. This year it’s the left. I go to the VA tomorrow so maybe I can talk them into a shot. I did change my swing to a rigid lead arm and I think that’s what’s causing it.

Yes, switching to graphite shafts a long time ago helped me. But then I was still playing tennis competitively so that likely had something to do with it, but it helped decrease discomfort in my golf game. Good luck!

Thought I would ask… saw this at the LPGA practice session today.

Has anyone seen these brackets before.  Any idea where I can buy these brackets?  It seems like a great use of an alignment stick.  I could try to make one, but it seems quite clever.  Please let me know.

Hope your elbow gets better. I have been getting cortisone injections in my right elbow. Had an injury years ago while on active duty. The shots don’t give relief any longer so, I need surgery. Hoping to hold off till the winter months. I don’t want to lose 6 weeks during the summer and fall.

Good evening Spies from what turned out to be a nice day here, although it rained and stormed quite heavily last night, and looking like it may do so again tonight.

Relaxing day for the most part, and golfing tomorrow maybe with another Spy.

So while I’m sitting at my table eating dinner, I’m looking outside at my grass. All I can think of is I need to mow it again. Then I thought about how long ago I mowed….IT HAS NOT BEEN A WEEK! I can’t mow it any shorter with my mower. At least not when I have to figure out how to get rid of the moles. All this rain we’ve had is not conducive to having nice weekends off

Since I’ve purchased the arm band here are my last two scores.

I struggled in Nebraska but have found a fix to my tee woes. @Derek Eskam shot very well at 72 today! We had a great time and finished in 3.5 hrs which is really fast for the Airport Golf Club in Cheyenne. Tomorrow is men’s club at Cheyenne Country Club! Good evening spies!
