BEST DRIVER OF 2024! MOST WANTED

I know it is a year away but I'm already excited to see what 2025 has in store. Will there be more 10k drivers? Will the g430 10k go back to back?

... I'll bet you were a fun 14 yr old. Premature Driverlation? It isn't even fully spring with snow on the ground in many climates and folks haven't even purchased their 2024 driver yet!

I tried most the drivers from this season and the Paradym was still me best. 

I love the looks of the Qi10 but it didn't jump out to me. The Smoke TD was very similar to the Paradym TD and I actually prefer the looks of my paradym.

Ping was great but not miles better. 

Have yet to try Cobra which would be the last to potentially turn my mind. 

2024 has been good, but for me nothing has really stood out to be just that much better.

I’m in a similar spot as you, I’ve hit the new Ping and TM and wasn’t super impressed…did not see enough to knock my Sim 2 Max out of the bag.

I was talking to the Titleist fitter at the Dallas Golf show and i mentioned I was happy with the TSR3 unless something blew me away. Her response was interesting. I know she works for Titleist but it wasn’t a sales pitch. It was just you might be surprised with a look. With that said I might go dark and cut off the outside world around that time cause I don’t need to spend that money.

... Yup, exactly why the OEMs come out with new drivers every year. 2025 will be the first year in quite awhile I will have zero interest in new drivers. I will, as @bens197 likes to say "just look" at all the new drivers and clubs but as I have said several times in the Qi10 thread, I have found my Holy Grail with the standard Qi10. Other than the dark blue face (I would prefer in black but I really don't even see it at address) there isn't anything I would change about my Qi10. Spin, trajectory, forgiveness, distance and look at address is about as close to perfect as it can get for me.

It’s amusing how it ebbs and flows every year for many of us. The only driver that really intrigued me this year was the G430 10K.
 

My 7 year old G400 still sends it so I don’t have that unhinged curiosity to pursue another fitting. My wallet thanks me dearly for that fact alone.

There was a line in 9 1/2 weeks where Kim Basinger said something like "you know when you are in a relationship and there's that one thing you know will eventually end it but you ignore it til you can't? Well this guy doesn't have that". Exactly how I feel about most golf equipment. I didn't love the two piece top on my Stealth2 HD and it could spin a little too much at times but nothing egregious. Those two things were the elements that always had me looking, even though I was very pleased with the performance. The Qi10 has no weakness for me and the last driver I remember feeling that way about was my original Fly Z that my son loved so much I gave it to him. So I hear ya, yearly ebb and flow. 

... The killer will be the T200's. Pretty much love everything about them too but I have never played irons for more than 2 seasons so even though I can't find a weakness with them either, new shiny irons always seem to "Oh Brother Where art Thou" Siren me.

PXG is really and I mean really hard to find here in Switzerland. Usually you have to order through Germany and then there are import charges and all that good stuff which makes them cost a lot more... and it's Switzerland so stuff is already really high priced.

Frankly, I always confuse the models due to this - not sure why they do this but I’m sure some high $ consultant told them it’s better

Regardless, I gamed an old 917 before I took golf more seriously, so I’ve always been a fan. Excited to see what they come up with!

I went and got fitted for most of these drivers and the AI smoke max d was the winner BUT I went and got fitted at PXG and the black ops blew all these outta the water which is what I ended up getting.

TSr seems like one of those pinnacle drivers, I’m thinking Titleist drivers won’t be much to write home about for a while. All OEMs seem to go through this, not sure how much higher Callaway can go. Cobra seems to be a hit or miss year over year LTD was unreal, Aerospeed was a bust, the dark speed seems like a dark horse. TM looks to have a winner after duds since the original SIM. Ping seems to be on an upward trajectory also

I find it so bizarre that the Smoke Max D head was the longest for the high swing speed players. And that the Max was the slowest of the 3.

Why do you say AeroSpeed was a bust? My LS has been the longest hitting driver I've ever hit. I know some of this is dependent on the individual but I've never heard anyone have negative input regarding the Aerospeed series.

Where is the Taylormade BRNR mini driver? I switched from Sim 2 to Mini and my accuracy has increased 10 fold. Shaft is 1.5 inches shorter than my Sim. I use a Fujikora Motor F1 7x shaft. Thing is a beast. I maybe gave up 10-12 yards off tee but gained FIR all day!
