Almost looks like your tube bracket may be enough to keep the bag in place .. I'm thinking if the strap is cinched too tight maybe it's squeezing the clubs..? Yes and no. The strap is positioned on the bag collar, above the actual soft material, so it's not squeezing the bag. I am going to pickup a velcro cinch strap, and try that as well. Yes the posts secure the bag for the tilt and side to sidemovements, but the strap is a safety measure in case it tips. I suppose I could use a butterfly backed swivel/ring bolt on the pvs uprights and use a smaller bungee to secure across the bag neck too. That's a problem I have, just when I think it works well, I need to try to improve/change it... Popular Post Byrnzee
I had the pleasure of playing a course in St. Augustine, FL on Friday called King & Bear. It's located in the World Golf Village and prides itself on being the only co-designed course from Arnold Palmer (The King) and Jack Nicklaus (The Bear). The course itself was beautiful and my brother-in-law @Swood1994 and I were able to play in just over three hours as we weren't paired with anyone. The greens were lightning fast, which definitely took some getting used to. The course setup was great - challenging, but still lots of opportunities to score. Unfortunately, I didn't play my best. I ended up shooting 91 (46-45) for one of my worst scores in recent memory. There were some glimpses of greatness, but too many bad shots and silly mistakes for them to make a difference. My driving was particularly bad on some holes, where I'd leave the face wide open and send one into a different zip code. There were a few shots I'm quite proud of: birdie on #2 after sticking it to about 4 feet, drive on short par four #4 just short of the green, drive on #10 with 2-iron which was struck perfectly, and a drive on #16 that was perfect after a triple on the previous hole. Four 7s on the scorecard were definitely the low point of the round. Need to be more consistent and avoid silly mistakes like three-putts (happened three times) and missing greens from the middle of the fairway. Overall, glad I was able to get out and play this past weekend. Looking forward to the upcoming long Memorial Day Weekend. Hoping to get out Monday as we have a wedding Saturday. ZJeb67
Got out to the Serradella course at Lakewood Shores in Oscoda, MI. Fair amount of room for my occasional wandering drives. Beautiful Saturday afternoon 9 after working like a dog all morning. We were able to sneak out on Sunday morning on the back 9 of Red Hawk in Tawas, MI More hills, more water, tighter (but still fair) fairways. Another beautiful day in northeast Michigan. 2 blow up holes played, rest of the round went mostly to very well. @MrBandit I think Joe Paterno used to tell his teams “You're never as good as you think you are when you win; and you're never as bad as you feel when you lose.” Edited May 20 by ZJeb67 ejgaudette, TJ Hall, Jacob10 and 6 others 8 1 Quote Driver - Stix Compete 7W - G5 9W - Big Bertha War Bird 5H/SW - Edge 6H - G15 5-PW - MT-86 OS 56 - Kirkland Signature Putter - White Hot Pro
Popular Post Jmikecpa
Had a busy week last week and an even busier weekend but did manage to get in an early round on Saturday morning. I knew from the first hole it was going to be a weird round. Short par 4 that is a 5 wood off the tee to start the round. Hit the left center of the fairway then landed my wedge in the cup, bounced out and left me 25 feet up the hill....made par. Get to the first par 5 and hit 3 wood off the tee over the corner and catch the very edge of the cart path so it bounce way down the fairway. Hit a 7 iron that lipped out for a deuce leaving me with a tap in eagle. 8th hole is another par 5 that is reachable with a decent drive. Unfortunately I wiped my 5 wood and left myself short sided over a bunker with no green to work with. Flop over the bunker and one bounce to dunk it for the second eagle on the front nine. Managed to birdie the two par 5's on the back, played the par 4's in even par and the par 3's in two over for a -4 67. Hit it solid all day and really did not have any real struggles on the course. On a side note that gym work is starting to show and I am getting my speed and distance back to the level that I am used to. Popular Post NubianRugby
Played University of Maryland yesterday, course was in great shape. It was a little juicy because of all the rain over the last couple of weeks, but the course is well cared for and doesn't seem to have any drainage problems as evidenced by the lack of standing water even though it rained all day Saturday. It was cart paths only and, in retrospect, we probably should have walked and the round may have gone a little faster. Shot a terrible 102. Couldn't hit the fairway on the front 9, missed every single one but usually not by much and with a shot at the green that I couldn't convert. Despite my struggles off the tee on the way out, I did hit 2 GiR and missed both birdie putts. On the back 9 the driver came alive and then approach shots failed me. On three different holes I striped my drive into the fairway and followed it up with a pair of horrendous fat chunks with wedges/short irons that left me short of the green after 3 strokes. Real problem yesterday was the putter, I had *7* 3-putts and that's not counting the two holes where I was on the fringe and took 3 strokes to get down. It was a small consolation that no one else in our group was making putts either, none of us could catch a break. We all had a couple of putts that were a little too hot, rolled right over the hole or banged off the flag, and kept going another 10-12 feet. Naturally we were following those up on the next hole by hitting too light and leaving ourselves short of the hole. Despite all of the chunked approaches and missed putts, I still felt like I played pretty well and had a good time despite my terrible score. I was getting off the tee nicely and when I wasn't chunking my wedges, I was putting them on the green. I was hitting my long irons pretty well, not getting them up in the air as much as I would have liked but was giving myself a chance on those 170-190 yard shots with a low fade. Even with all the missed putts, I was taking good lines and reading the breaks properly but my speed was off. Here's a picture of my best shot of the day. 110 yard par 3 off the top of a hill, water behind and bunkers in front. I hit a 50 degree wedge absolutely perfect and stuck it about 15 feet from the hole. Popular Post IndyBonzo
Big congratulations @OdinSnipes414 on breaking 90 and the PB! That is a significant milestone. Good work! I got to play yesterday unexpectedly. Bonus Golf! It was a gorgeous day. I played very well for me for 15 holes, with two birdies (one a hole out from about 25 yards) and a +4 score at that point. The closing holes are tough, and due to my own mistakes off the tee on 16 and 18, and some tough lies in the deep rough (no mowing last week due to the rain), I finished at +9. ShotScope data tells me I really need to work on my approach shots, as I am -5.2 in that stat. Fortunately, my short game exceeds that of a tour pro somehow (to my surprise), at nearly +1 SG. I need it b/c I am frequently scrambling! There is a direct correlation in my game between GIR and score. That's probably true for everyone; I think it is the most important stat if you can putt at least average. Also, the LAB DF2.1 is a work in progress. The roll is unquestionably better than my old gamer. I am making more one putts and more long putts. But I also am making more three putts b/c I am very much still learning distance control with it. Those stats are improving, however, so I am optimistic. Anyway, it was a great day to have some bonus golf in my life. Haro
Probably my worst day playing. Played about 20 rounds this month and likely exhausted from overplaying. Didn’t really feel it today. Made the best out of it and used 3 woods and hybrids off the tee instead of irons and driver Had left handed clubs to chip with and played with a broomstick putter. I find that playing the same course over and over isn’t that simulating. Will be rotating and not play the same course twice over this season NubianRugby, TJ Hall, Rob Person and 5 others 4 3

RetiredBoomer
My friend had a doctor appointment today so we got off very early and played six holes. That worked out really well for me too since I'm just coming off the DL (as we used to say). I EAGLED a very short par 5 which stimulated my physical "recovery" nicely. Big intentional banana slice off the tee shortened the hole more. 9-wood to inside of eight feet. One putt that dallied on the rim and then decided to drop. My game doesn't travel super well away from my comfortable home course. 260-285 drives that find the fairway are not something with which I'm familiar! If I don't see wide open spaces for my 225-240 yard drives to land, my driving iron comes out of the bag and I'll happily hit a butt-ugly 200 yard line drive (including the roll). I have been playing a lot in the last few months. My driver stays in the bag a lot because I have been using my driving Iron. I am more consistently hitting the fairway at 215-225 with that. I want to get better with the driver which I played well with this trip. The fairways were wide enough for me to feel comfortable with the driver with several dogleg rights which my slice enjoys. It is just funny that days that I hit my driver well, I cant hit irons. Days that I am hitting my Irons well, I cant hit the driver or woods. The worst part is I get a lot of birdie looks that turn into bogey or double. cksurfdude, RetiredBoomer, Rob Person and 2 others 5 Quote Driver- Ping 425 Woods- Ping 425 3 wood, Calloway Ai Smoke 7 Wood Irons- Ping 425 5i-PW, Ping iCrossover 3i Wedges- Cleveland CBX-4 56, Volkey SM9 60 Putter- Odyssey White Hot Versa 3T S SL Putter

Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Instead if practicing I got the itch to play nine holes this morning. Picked a course where I would have to hit similar clubs from the tees as the tournament I am playing Saturday. I will say I am glad I did as I know what I need to focus on at the range Thursday. Only pulled driver twice. Outside of a weird three putt (all within 5') my putting was stellar draining a 10' and 12' and just missing on some more. 47. Number 13 was the three putt hole as well as hitting a ball OB with an 8i on a shank. 15 I tried to play safe off the tee with my UW and shanked it into red stakes. sirchunksalot, Rob Person, cksurfdude and 2 others 5 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS TD Cat 4 60g 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter:Directed Force 2.1 69*/35" in blue Ball: Prime 4.0 Shot Tracking: Bag: Vessel VLX 2.0 Grip: Lamkin Sonar + Midsize Glove: My Reviews: Caley 01X Driving Iron Review 2023 Max Swing Speed Training and Speed Progress: Current Speed 120 in the MGS Speed Challenge (updated 3/15/23) TAIII #2 Review here: TAIII Impact #2 Putter ) Zipcore Tour Rack 54/full and 58/mid (review here) 0211 2019 Unofficial Review
TheBirdieMasterLOL
I shot even at my home course, which is a difficult Jack Nicklaus Par 3 Course. Unfortunately, my brother birdied four of his last five to beat me by one lol Jacob10, cksurfdude, Rob Person and 2 others 5 Quote WITB Driver: Rogue ST D 3 Wood: Rogue St D Hybrid: SIM2 Max 5-PW: P7MC 52*, 56*, and 60*: Vokey SM10 Nickel w/Custom USA Paint Fills Putter: Sacks Parente Custom Series 54 Mid-Sized White 1 Stripe - Center
injectedcutty
Got off work early enough to play a full round on my home course. It's probably just mental, but I always play better when I dress nicer. If I'm in a tank top and just winging it I play ok, but put on golf gear and be serious and I shot an Even par 71! Had my 9 yr old girl driving MD around. I missed some very make able birdies, lipped out a couple pars or I would've broke 70 again for the 2nd time this year!!!!! sirchunksalot, Rob Person, cnosil and 5 others 6 2 Quote Scott J PXG Driver, AP2 irons, Cleveland wedges and Odyssey white ice 2.
