fozcycle
Played in our regular Saturday game today, shooting 42/44:86 with 2 birdies. #12 135 yd Par 3 found my drive pivoting on a pile of sand just next to the edge of the bunker. My bunker shot was hindered by the high edge but I pulled my 57* wedge and tried to position myself so I could hit down on the ball. Well, it popped out of the bunker onto the green, bounced once, hitting the pin then dropped into the hole for a Birdie!...very dramatic to say the least.Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy ole gray, cksurfdude, Rickp and 6 others 8 1 Quote Driver: 0311 XF 10.5* w/Project X Cypher 40 gram Senior shaft or 0811 XF 12* w/Evenflo Riptide CB Senior shaft Fairways: 0211 5W & 7W w/ Evenflo Riptide CB regular shaft and Tour Edge E521 9W w/Fubuki HD50 regular shaft Hybrid: None in bag at the moment Irons: Titleist T300 5-PW w/Fubuki MV Senior graphite shafts w/Golf Pride Tour Wedges: Edison forged 49*, 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). PING Apologist #9
Played a quick 9 without any warm-up on the range, but I did have time to work on putting a bit before hand. Driver was fair to me all day but I only had 2 GIR out of 6 possible with it. The other 4 were long but just off and super playable. Took me a bit to warm up the FW's and I suffered a bit with bad approach shots. Putting was pretty "OK" though I didn't make anything longer than the one 12-footer for my only par at #5 which is a par-5. Wound up with an average-for-me 48. BigtazzGolf
First full round today since tweaking my knee. Went into it with limited goals. Mainly not to rehurt myself. Misson accomplished!Posted 89 today and played well for the most part. 3 bad holes really hurt but it was great to be back out and not playing in rain or mud for once. It was sunny and mid 80s today. GolfSpy_BNG
Today’s round 44/40 for a 844/14 FIR3/18 GIR27 putts This is my lowest number of putts over 18 holes in my golfing career! I went back to the Scotty 5w from a couple years ago and have never had this much confidence with the flat stick. Fairways could have been better but unfortunately as soon as I got a feel for the new m3 driver the old shaft broke on me. Got a new one coming and should be here this week! As far as GIR go I couldn’t fit my irons today to save my life. Good thing I put in an app for the Lynx Prowler VT’s! I have a feeling that par for 9 holes is in reach this year! Popular Post downlowkey
Beautiful day for golf on the Colorado Front Range and we got in a loop at Saddleback Golf Course. My first time at this track and it was a lot of fun. It’s pretty fair off most tees with tricky greens and they have it in good shape. Conditions were soft and tee balls weren’t rolling at all. (-4) 68 for DLK today - highlights: clean card and another tidy stat line for the Bettinardi SS38 Armlock (28 total). Looks even better against 15/18 GIR. But the real highlight of the day was that my playing partner was @TR1PTIK! He’s in town for work and we’re hoping to get out a few times while he’s around. In a nutshell, a really nice person with a really nice golf swing - a better player than he appears on paper. I don’t want to talk about my 4 foot birdie putt on 18 that didn’t even sniff the hole. Kenny B
Interesting weekend for me. It seems that my new pain for the year is my wrists; both of them, but my right wrist is particularly sore. Not sure what caused it, but they have been sore for over a week. I can still play, but certain mishits with the driver will make me wince. Saturday my wife and I played with a father/son twosome that I have seen at the course before. BTW, the dad had PXG irons; first time I've seen them. Because of my wrists, most drives were push rights; just can't close the club face. I didn't count, but I wasn't in very many fairways. I was also in 5 greenside bunkers. As for the rest of my game, I shot 79 with 26 putts (I only had 11 putts on the front nine); chip-in birdie on #6 and stuffed a 6i approach on #7 to a foot. Today was a better driving day; hit 11/13 fairways but couldn't buy a putt. Shot 84. I was only +4 on the front nine, but +8 on the back nine. The 95º temp got to me today. Smellis745
Shot 80 on Saturday. Extremely disappointed because it was easily one of the best driving days I've ever had. But I had absolutely 0 feel for partial wedges and chips. I.e.. Hit a drive about 330 down the right side, had a 46 yard pitch to the hole. I hit it about 60. Then I had a nasty chip coming back down the green, hit it off the front. Chip it on the green to about 5 foot, miss the bogey putt and tap in for a double bogey 6, after being 46 yards to the hole after my drive. That was the mantra of my day. My putter, as can tell from the missed 5 footer above, was way off too. I couldn't get a feel for the speed and was leaving them short or running them past comfortable tap in range on the way back. dhartmann34
Had to get in a 9 hole match yesterday for my league as the person I was playing against isn't going to be able to make it for the actual round. So I showed up to the course and realized I had forgotten my shoes. Turned around and few home and back. A bit late for the tee time, but I got off. Definitely more rushed than I ever like to be. I bogeyed the first hole and went on from there. Ended up shooting 2 under with 4 birdies and 2 bogeys (hole 1 and 3). Had to give my opponent 5 shots for the round and he played well carding a 40. But I won the overall match by 1 with my 34....taking 7 of 11 points. Crazy how well I had to play to win, but most guys in the league seem to really step up their game when they play me. So tonight I'll play for skins and green balls. sp0rtsfan86
I finally had weather and schedules break this way I could get 18 in. Walked all 18 Saturday. Shot 98. I used to be shooting mid 80s but just about everything has taken a giant leap back. I'm still waiting for my game to round into shape it usually only takes a month or so, but this year it's taking a long time. On the plus side my drives on the back finally gained some consistency. I think that and putting/chipping are going to be the main focus at the range. Idea is to back build my game and worry about irons when I can chip and putt. PING Apologist #9
Had a great (for me anyway) round going for the first 9 yesterday with just 3 of us playing a little match-play together. Only had one "other" on that damn par-3 3'rd (water off the tee again and posted a 6...), made 1 par and the rest were bogies for a +10 45 and I won all but 2-holes. Then the back 9 started and shall not be commented upon other than saying I was bushed after playing 9 the day before and being on the range both Thursday & Friday evenings. Wound up at an even 100. Driver was on point pretty much all day while I teed up every shot from the right side of the boxes and played to my fade shape. Had a couple of absolute bombs (hole #1 went 245 & hole # 15 255!). Don't have my card in front of me currently, but I think I had 7/13 FIR (2 of those were with FW's) but my GIR sucked with only 2...Gotta get that better. Putting was...OK, but I didn't really make any longer than 10-ft...once, though my speed was fairly on point and lags were better than norm though most still were out of the 3' "gimme" zone. I need work here too for sure. cksurfdude, Rickp, sirchunksalot and 3 others 6 Quote In my DLX Cart Bag: Driver: G410 SFT, set to 9.5*, Mitsubishi Tensei CK Orange 60, stiff (MGS Official 2019 Tester) 3W: G-Series SF TEC, set to 16*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 5W: G400 SFT, set to 19*, Aldila Tour Blue ATX, 65g, stiff 7W: G410 SFT, set to 22*. Rickp
Played 9 and as for right now nothing stronger than 6 iron. Tempted to try longer clubs but resisting the urge.Shot 45, 9 over and feel pretty good with that right now. Hope to start playing hybrids & driver next week.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy cksurfdude, MattF, Kenny B and 4 others 6 1 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; PXG 0311XF Cypher 50 gr Senior 5 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 7 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 5 hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous R2 Irons; Mizuno JPX 923HM 7-GW Recoil 460 F2 Wedges; Titleist S9 54*, Mizuno SW 56* Putter; Waaay too many to list

She has her own little putter that she'll use on the greens too. I'm probably gonna get her swinging some clubs this year. Can't wait!. She also does a fantastic job raking up the bunker! sirchunksalot, Kenny B, Rickp and 3 others 6 Quote PXG 0311 Gen 5 9°/ Fujikura MotoreX F1 6X F6 3 Wood 14* / Kuro Kage Silver 65X F8 6 wood 20* / Fujikura MotoreX F3 6S RADSpeed Hybrid 24* TS1 4-GW / FCM Precision 6.5 Rifle TSW Wedge - 56/12 EAS 1.0 / Grip master 2.0 MAXFLI Tour CG

Love to see posted golf course photos. Thank you! I sure miss playing while marveling at the distant mountains. But I'm confused by this photo. Is that flag on a tiny temporary green out in the middle of what looks like the rough or what? 00sportsman 1 Quote PXG 0811 XF driver Serene: 3 wood, 4 & 5 hybrid iron r7 Draw, Flex L: 4, 6 - 9 irons Wedges: RTX Zipcore 46 mid bounce; RTX-3: 52/10 wedge; and Tour Action 900 60* low bounce Armlock putter or E-2 Torque custom fit putter Tour B XS golf ball V3
chisag
... We have those on several courses here too. They are used for "Foot Golf" usually after 5 or 6 pm and soccer players can play 18 holes of Foot Golf running and kicking a soccer ball adjacent to the fairways, hence the bigger hole.
