Tiger is back!

He was inches from a rediculous round. Lots of great shots, putts are rimming.

I predict a win soon...

This is an easy course for these guys, it's also a course that Tiger is very comfortable with, he will not win any time soon, he will be lucky to make very many cuts over the last part of the season. his game is is horrible shape.

He will prolly win a tournament before the end of the year. He looked much better this week but the greenbrier is always an easy tournament. Give tiger some more time and he may can win a small tourney. No chance at a major though. At least not yet.

30...........I don't think that a minor is even in the cards.

Just speculation and conjecture but until his driver turns around....he is trouble, can not seem to hit a fairway.

If he's going to get his game back, and keep it, he needs to keep playing in tournaments and not think he can pick and choose courses to prep for the Majors.

He needs to figure out how to play competition golf again before he'll be a serious contender in any tournament at this stage.

His World Golf Ranking is 226th after Greenbriar.

A player at that rank doesn't need to be thinking about winning Majors much more than I do.

Tiger had a couple of decent rounds, but this was a relatively weak field and very easy course conditions.  He is NOT back until he can put the ball in play.  Tiger said that it was his putting, and yes, he did lip out a bunch of putts.  However, if he eliminates his penalty strokes for the week, he wins the tournament.  A pro cannot win tournaments hitting the ball OB.  Inexcusable.

The tools are there. If he can get off of the box for a week then a win isn't out of the question. All it takes is 1 week and I will take the odds that a guy with 106 professional wins figures it for 1 week of the year. That week won't be the week of a major though.

IF he can get off the tee, he stands a chance, even in a major.  But not any more so than any other good player.  He needs more playing time, and skipping tournaments to only play in majors is not what he needs right now.  There are only 6 tournaments for him this year, because he won't be in the FedEX cup tournaments or the President's Cup, and I doubt he will be playing in the tournament opposite the WGC Bridgestone.

That said, the Open Championship at St. Andrews is probably his best chance for a win this year.  He is very familiar with the course, and the fairways are pretty wide.  If he can control his tee shots, I'd put money on him to be in the mix come Sunday.  He has no chance at Whistling Straits.

I agree he needs to play more. Also agree about st Andrews. If only he could bring the stinger back! If he can keep his driver in play then he has a chance every time he plays. If he can't then we will see more of this.

Ya, I concur, and I said it a month or two ago.

Play play play

Quit banging whatever moves, or at least own up to it.

Swing easier

He was just looking pretty smooth this weekend. I'm liking it and want to see him back in it with all the new hotshots. That will really make golf popular again

See this is where I disagree. He needs to go back to banging everything that moves.

Hey you have to do what works for you. Apparently that was his deal!
