I had a 13 degree V Steel back in the day - absolutely loved it, still regret donating it... Bought the SIM later because it advertised "V Steel", but hated that thing. I've found fairways to be a complete wildcard, and I've churned through quite a few to find a good fit. The one I liked just as much as V Steel was the Exotics E8 Beta. I'm now on the Stealth 2, which is also great. In between those I had both the M1 17 (good) and SIM (hated), and before the Beta I used an awesome-looking but not so awesome-performing Cobra. KOG
The M2 is a solid fw for sure but what it is, is a redesigned adams blue. It is longer than the adams and has the cf top however. For a strong lofted say 15* FW, I have tried a bunch and it seems to be the lowerprofile, high moi in the far back and lowest cog results pretty much every time in an easy to launch fw. I suggest the Exotics current E722, E723 and my current gamer is the Exotics exs 220. Another sleeper is the previous version of the Adams Tight Lies that came out 3 years ago. They have a very tall face and very low COG and while they may be a few yards from lower spin woods and look very plain, but they are some of the most forgiving fw I ever hit. The 3 wood is a 16 degree which also helps and you can find them for under $50 new these days. But to me Exotics just seem to be my preference. However, the Honma Big LB is a large size 14 degree 3 wood that is also very easy to hit and very long, but still not as easy to launch off the deck as a 16* Edit: Forgot to say that the most forgiving fairway wood I ever used is the Exotics xj1 and the 3w comes in 15 and 17. I have the 5w in 18 but if you can find one, never found a more consistent club Edited March 10 by KOG ejgaudette, Rob Person, ChiefMikeOfficer and 4 others 7 Quote Driver : Exotics EXS Pro with with Diamana 'ahina 70 stiff 3 Wood : Yamaha RMX 15* with Evenflow Green Stiff 7 Wood: Yonex Ezone with UST Comp stiff 5 Hybrid : PXG 3017x (2nd gen) w KBS Tour Graphite Stiff Utility Iron: Srizon ZX 23* w MMT 85 stiff 6-gw Matlby TS3 w MMT 85 stiff 52* / 58* Vokey SM7 w Nippon Modus 105 Stiff Putter: PRGR Silver Blade Wide Blade slant Sun Mountain C130 Bag

Popular Post fozcycle
Let me catch up….I purchased some Pure grips as they were going out of business. Also ordered a putter grip(awesome putter grip). I had 2 orders from 32 Degrees, getting a vest, jacket and hoodie. I ordered a Spyder vest from Taylormade. I then took advantage of an MGS deal and got 4 dozen Snell balls. I then ordered an Edison 1.0 49* wedge to go with my 53* & 57* Edison’s. Lastly, I made an order on Temu….a pair of black golf shoes and 2 belts all for $35. The shoes were a little disappointing as th3 pic looked like removable spikes….but they weren’t. I wore them last week and shot a 43/40:83…..shoes seemed okay. Guess I’ll add them to my collection of 17 pair…. The longest 3w is the CB pro then cbx but considering Im a little less consistent with them, Id say the exs220 15* overall but I like how the EXS series squares up behind the ball the most and those two are neck and neck in playability but the 220 seems to have a second gear when you pure it. Easiest to hit is the XJ1 with no question but I get lots of loft so I cant really use it on windy days but in the summer, thats my fav. The XCJ6 beta is a great club, all around. 2 hours ago, Marlin Dave said: I cannot figure that company out??? I gotta say, I was a big fan of the original EXS series of drivers and the EXS Pro I still play sometimes but they are hit and miss with their drivers. The E723 won most forgiving so theyre getting some love. Also, I am a fan of the exs 220 5 hybrid. Ive tried to replace it with king tec, pxg, Ping, and honma but that hybrid is special. They have a problem with aesthetics and sound in their older drivers and current putters. For instance, the Hot Launch line. Great performers, horrible finish and look like cheap clubs. Horrible name. Bring back Exotics line and then Tour Edge. But Irons, Im with you guys The wingman wedges do look promising but I probably wouldnt get them over Vokeys.
