What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

I’ve had the same flat stick Dunlop putter since I started golfing 20+ years ago, so I finally went to the PGA superstore and spent hours testing different putters.

Ended up going with the Bettinardi Queen B 6 and I couldn’t been happier with the decision.

TaylorMade Burner Driver and Irons

Old Dunlop Putter 1 Wood

56 and 69 degree wedges

Just grabbed some grips from Amazon.

I have Champkeys now and like them, they're not the best, but for the price they're hard to beat.

I wanted to go with a funky colour this time around, but I just couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted.

These come in a nice blue colour, but they are double the price for the same grips, and I'm cheap, so when I saw the black ones come up 20% off I jumped on them.

Next time you need grips, check out Star Grips or on Golfworks the Royal Grip makes some great ones as well and both are really good prices.

I checked out GolfWorks.ca, the Star grips are around $12-$14 per grip.

They have Pure grips on sale, but still about $10 per grip.

GolfWorks.com has a better selection and pricing, but by the time I do the exchange, pay for shipping and duties, I may as well just go to Golf Town or order Golf Prides off Amazon.

I just want something to get me through the rest of this season, I have a set of TE+'s in the cart on GolfWorks waiting for me to pull the trigger, but they will be my Christmas gift 😄

I fell prey to Callaway's double trade in promotion and traded my Mizuno JPX 923 HL irons for a set of Paradym AI Smoke HL irons.  I miss the Mizunos.  Nothing wrong with the Cally's, they work fine -- pretty much the same performance as the Mizzies.  I just liked looking down at the Mizunos more.

14 of the following:

Taylormade Qi10 Max

Callaway 2023 Big Bertha 3 wood set to 17 degrees

Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees

Callaway Epic Max 11 wood

Titleist TSR1 hybrid 26 degrees

Ping Eye 2 BeCu 2-SW

Ping G430 irons 6-50 degree

Sub 70 286 wedges 52 and 56 degrees

Hogan sand wedge 56 degree bent to 53

Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree

Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree

Evnroll ER2

Ping Sigma 2 Anser

Cheap Top Flite mallet putter from Dick's, currently holding down first place in the bag

TaylorMade Mini Spider

Just ordered a Tour Striker ball "for my daughter". She's been hitting balls off the mat every day for the last few weeks and is starting to turn the corner. I figure this might help us out staying connected.

Titleist TSR3 // Tensei 1K Black 65g

Titleist TSR3 3W 15* // HZRDOUS Black 70g

Titleist U505 2i // HZRDOUS Black 85g

Taylormade P770 4-PW // Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 105g

Callaway JAWS MD5 50*

Callaway JAWS Raw 54* / 58*

Taylormade Spider GTX Single Bend Splitback / Ping Zing 2

Titleist ProV1 // Srixon Z-Star XV (Depending on how much money I want to lose any given swing)

Three dozen Saintnine U-PRO balls @ < $10 per dozen.  Should have gotten 6 dozen since I'm losing balls at a rate of 4 per nine holes.

Does anyone have a prayer for banishment of shanks?

Recently bought Paradym 24° adjustable hybrid. Easy to hit, comes in high and soft,  and did I mention it's adjustable?  Covers from 23° to 26°and is a great transition from my longest iron to a gouge it out hybrid. Also,  perfect for that longish in between par 3 that you need it to bite.

I'm 68, I've played golf since I was 10. Any day on the golf course is a good day, even if it's not a good round.

You’ll have to let us know what you think. I’m wildly interested in them.  A bit concerned at doing an online fitting though.

I was thinking of doing a small review once I get enough data and rounds with it!

My recommendation is to try the putter at your local golf store and see if you like it. I found the mezz.1 max was a bit more comfortable for me than the regular mezz.1.

The online fitting for LAB is to get the right angle for your putting stroke. I believe all stock LAB putter are at 69 degrees. I haven't done the online fitting with LAB, but I'd prefer not to because I can't afford a custom putter. Maybe sometime in the future I will look into this, but for now I'm fine with the stock putter.

can’t wait to try them out.

Got a set off ebay a couple months ago.  Wasn't sure about them until I swapped out the seven iron shaft with an AMT black.  It's like my iron striking improved by an order of magnitude.  You're gonna like them.  I should have been fit for them and then would have had the right shaft from the get go

Didn’t buy but did take advantage of the PGA Super Store 90 day trial. I just did t have much luck with the TW grind 56* wedge. So I traded it in for a Titleist Vokey SM 10 56* to match my other wedges. I’m so glad I did. I can open the face and hit my flop shots again. Not knocking the MG4 TM wedge, just wasn’t for me. Immediately hit my shots with the SM 10 56* wedge.

What grind did you go with?

Ordered three butterfly knife style pitch mark tools from Two Talents back in April.  They arrived this week.

Keeping one for myself and giving the other two to my friends.

They work great and are bad azz.

I'm torn between the TE+'s and the TS3's.

I want the TE+'s in the DBM finish, but the review's I've seen make the 3's seem like the better choice.

Mainly the softness, I've heard the DMB finish hardens the feel at impact, and I've heard the 3's are soft as butter, which is my preferred feel.

I have until Christmas to decide... Now I know how Sophie felt.... 🫣

I usually prefer hollow body irons for feel plus the extra distance usually helps, so I tried the TS1-IM and the TS3. For me the TS3 was a clear winner in feel and performance. Off center hits(like off the grooves) still feel great and perform awesome. They are not any larger to look down on or ugly to look at in the bag comparing to my Mizuno 919 Forged. On pure hits or something even close these are an AMAZING feeling iron!!!

I'm starting to lean towards the 3's. I wish they made them in that DBM finish, but that might take away from the butteriness I've been hearing about.
