Popular Post sirchunksalot
I'm fortunate enough to work at a job where I can lease a brand new vehicle for my wife and I. Yesterday was my trade in day for my wife's car and I went and picked up a 2023 VW Tiguan R-Line Black SE. Well, as I'm driving up to the house today I see the windows (all 4) rolled down and it's raining. The Volkswagen's have a feature on the key fob that allow you to hold the unlock button to roll them down. I guess it must have gotten pushed in my pocket as I was leaving for work this morning. The seats, doors, and floor mats were kinda wet, so I spent a little time having to dry them out. Needless to say, I'll be checking them as I leave from now on. I'm fortunate to have a wife that just made fun of me for that. RichL85, Rickp, JohnSmalls and 16 others 17
EasyPutter
6:15 this morning we had a sudden explosive sound that shook the house and the sound lasted 10-15 seconds. The shockwave was so sudden it was not noticed because of the sudden intensity of the atmospheric phenomenon known as a Skyquake from the compression response of the still cold air over the surface that only had to lift or drop, vibrate up and down fractions of an inch. I ran out the front door and heard the reverberation die off to the SSE. Closest thing I have experienced to the roadside blast in Iraq 18 years 3 months 12 days ago. MattF
Farking fark. Woke up Saturday morning to 55° in the house. The furnace was short cycling meaning no heat. After calling 3 places and getting one that actually answered the phone, the tech came out and the motor is shot. He turned the speed down to get it running but it needs to be replaced to the tune of $755. On top of the $313 that we paid to have him come out. Then just to kick me in the gonads a bit more, the 4 year old dishwasher stopped working. Breaker is fine, there's power to the switch and the door switch has continuity. Google research looks like the upper control unit has had it. There's too many instances of it happening to other people to lead me to believe that's not the problem.
