Popular Post Kor.A.Door 5,838
For my 5000th post, I wanted to talk about Dads. My dad passed in 1976, I was 5, I do miss what could have been, but I will see him again someday. For anyone who’s father is alive, make sure you tell them how much you aprreciate and Love them, you never know how long you have. Here is a photo of my dad from his high school days. Also a photo of his headstone. I don’t get to visit very much since I am 12 hours away, but I try to make it a point to stop in when I go back to Michigan. This past week I was there and stopped in 2 times, it was a nice quiet rainy day, but it was good. 15 1 Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind
Kenny B 23,085
Congratulations on your 5000th post. Keep 'em coming!! Sorry about your dad passing so young. My dad turns 89 this October, but he's not doing very well since my mom passed away 2 years ago. It's difficult when a parent's health is failing and they don't care anymore. 2 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
JohnSmalls 5,916
Congrats on 5000 Kory. Thank you for the humble reminder of the blessing that a father can be. I am sorry that you lost your so early in life. It's been a pleasure getting to know you here and having had the blast of playing a round with you in person. Round 2 is coming soon. 1 Quote 2020 MGS Hard Rock Challenge SkyCaddie SX400 OGIO Silencer: Followed by Arccos G410+, Tensei Orange Vapor Fly 3, Diamana Blue, Covert 2.0 3H, Kuro Kage Black Wilson D7 Irons 4-GW, Dynamic Gold AMT Glide 52, 56 ES ER2 -ProV1x (left dash) Romans 10:
Kor.A.Door 5,838
Thanks guys, no need to feel sorry for me, it is a sad, but I like to use my loss to help others to understand how important it is not to take for granted things that are available everyday. For me it is my father that was lost, for others it could be a mother, child, brother, sister, and number of family members or even a good friend. Taking time to make a phone call, send a text, even sending a letter in the mail can make a big difference. Because I was so young my mom made the decision to not allow us to say goodbye. I always want to tell people as I get older, don’t wait, you may never get the chance again. Many of you and even me have the opportunity right now to tell those close to us how much we love and appreciate them. Don’t miss that time. 6 Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind
Golfspy_CG2 25,102
Congrats and great post Kor. I'll echo your thoughts about letting your Father or any loved one for that matter, know how much you love them every chance you get. My dad and I went through a period when I was coming into my own in my career and such that we didn't spend a lot of time together and he was not around when I was a kid....Sometimes I think Cat's in the Cradle written by my dad. Late in his life...much too late we became close and I treasured the times we go to visit....he was in CA and I'm in MD, so it wasn't often, but we had some good visits up to the very end. His last words to me when he dropped me at the airport in CA after a visit in 2012, were. See you on the Other side. He died 5 days later on my birthday. But I was so glad I didn't put off that last visit. Sorry Kor, didn't mean to hi-jack your thread, but it kind of reminded me as well to pass on that advice to everyone as you did. 5 Quote TSi2 Kuro Kage 50g R Flex TSi2 16.5 FW with GD AD IZ 6 Shaft G410 FW 7 Alta CB R flex G410 Hybrid 26 degree Alta CB R Flex T100S/T200 Combo 5-7 T100S 8-P T200 TT Black Oynx R Flex SM7 54.08 F 58.12 K Heppler Tomcast ProV1X Play number

Not an issue, that’s what this is supposed to do, spark conversations, and memories to share experiences, we aren’t the only ones with this type of life story. It’s really something that guys don’t talk about much, but just because we don’t talk about it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t. It’s good to reflect on the bad times of life to help remind us of the good times. 2 Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind
